Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a completely sealed chamber measuring 4m x 4m, but containment in smaller or larger containers did not seem to influence its behaviour. The entire internal surface of the container has to be coated in #00FF00. It is of utmost importance that no one can look into said container or at said object, it is to be observed as followed:

Active sourveillance is not nessecary, but instead a motion detector, a infra-red camera, a regular camera and a microphone is to be installed. If the infra-red camera does not detect any heat source hotter than 30° C the object is to be observed through a monitor, that displays everything in the room not precisely #00FF00 as #FF0000. Same procedure for when either the motion detector or the microphone do not pick up anything for 300 seconds. SCP-XXXX does not require any leisure time, food or water.

Description: SCP-XXXX can not be specifically determined, closer inspection is made impossible and an aura of sorts is sourrouning it, hiding it from short glances. Origin is also unknown, but we assume it is terrestrial.

It has been found that humans around that creature become sick, there have been multiple cases in which the person died. Cause of death has been determined to be rapidly growing cancers in some cases and complete organ shutdown in other cases. It is unknown what about this creature causes those effects, but we assume SCP-XXXX is not doing this conciously. Intelligence of SCP-XXXX is also unknown.

It is not sure what causes this effect on humans, but other creatures seem to not be effected by this in any way, making further testing impossible.

The aforementioned measures have been put in place since some individuals have reported a nauseating feeling meerly from looking at printed out pictures from SCP-XXX, because of that a scetch will be provided instead of a photograph.

Addendum: There have been very few sightings of SCP-XXXX so far and this is the first one caught. It seems to appear more or less randomly and has no preffered habitat
