Special Containment Procedures: There is an area with a radius of roughly 20 km where it is likely that SCP-XXXX-A will manifest. This area is hereby referred to as the Threatened Zone. As of the latest update of this report, the Threatened Zone is located in southwestern Pryor's Lake, TN. Containment procedures should be updated after every new manifestation event to reflect the current Threatened Zone.

After each new appearance of SCP-XXXX-A, a new Threatened Zone is declared centered on the location of the previous manifestation event. Foundation agents must locate at minimum three (3) but preferably up to twelve (12) isolated residences within the Threatened Zone and remove the current occupants if necessary. These locations should be as far away from large populations as possible.

Once these locations have been obtained, Foundation personnel are to obtain and store at least five hundred (500) kg of expired produce. In addition, a specialized ventilation system will be installed in order to direct the fumes from the expired produce away from the location. This ventilation system will also begin dispersing incapacitating agent once it is remotely activated. One (1) D-Class personnel will be installed at each of these locations to reside indefinitely. They will be provided with three meals per day and daily health checks, along with as many amenities as possible. They are not permitted to leave the premises. Reasonable requests for items or materials from outside the location should obtained by Foundation personnel.

At least five (5) Mobile Task Forces should be deployed and on standby within the Threatened Zone, near the pre-determined locations where the D-Class personnel have been installed. When a manifestation event commences, the nearest MTF is to report to the site of activity. At this point, the ventilation system may be remotely activated to circulate incapacitating agent within the location. At least two MTF squads should be active in the Threatened Zone at all times and patrolling and monitoring local reports for SCP-XXXX-A manifestation outside of Foundation expectations.

If an instance of SCP-XXXX-B manages to breaches the perimeter created by SCP-XXXX-A, then stationed MTF agents are to incapacitate them from a distance and quickly return them to inside the perimeter.

Description: SCP-XXXX-A is a mammalian species closely resembling sika deer (Cervus nippon). Members of this species normally appear outwardly non-anomalous but occasionally are reported to have human faces. Individuals that have seen this phenomenon have reported that the faces they see belong to deceased individuals with whom they are familiar. This experience is entirely subjective.1 Other key differences include larger antlers with darker coloration on all members of SCP-XXXX-A. This species has been found to be active only across the southeastern United States.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-A exhibit extreme regenerative capabilities and appear to be effectively immortal until the manifestation event has concluded. All attempts to incapacitate instances of SCP-XXXX-A before the conclusion of the manifestation event have failed. Most poisons and pathogens have no effect on instances of SCP-XXXX-A.

SCP-XXXX-A has not been observed outside of a manifestation event. Instances of SCP-XXXX-A have so far only been observed in groups and only one herd has been identified as active at any given time. New manifestations of SCP-XXXX-A almost always occur within a 5 km radius of the last manifestation. There is approximately three weeks between manifestation events on average.

A herd of SCP-XXXX-A will target one currently occupied residence at a time. These creatures target locations where there is already a large amount of decaying organic matter. A herd of SCP-XXXX will surround the location at night and begin consuming everything that is composed of organic matter, including wood, wool, and meat. Several dozen instances of SCP-XXXX-A will form perimeter in order to prevent the escape of the occupants, creating several rows of creatures in a circle around the location.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-A will attempt to consume living organisms if they are the nearest object composed of organic matter. They do not do so with particular speed or vigor, having even been described before as "grazing." If an individual flees from an instance of SCP-XXXX-A attempted to feed on them, it will not give chase. This includes if an instance of SCP-XXXX-B2 manages to breach the perimeter of SCP-XXXX-As.

Once everything composed of organic matter within the residence is consumed, all present instances of SCP-XXXX-A will collapse and die. Vegetation will begin sprouting from the corpses of SCP-XXXX-A, resembling flora that would be commonly found in the surrounding area. This vegetation appears to be extremely hearty and resistant to damage and disease but is otherwise largely non-anomalous. Roots will sprout and embed themselves into the ground underneath these corpses as quickly as one hour after death.
