Maser of War

A family of four decided to go on a trip to the Grand Canyon for the 4th of July one year but while they were there the youngest member of the family- a 6 year old boy named Adam Cadeus -had wandered away from his family while they were watching fireworks. While roaming near the cliff edge at the Grand Canyon, Adam stumbled upon something he couldn’t see or comprehend at first but he could feel it and he feared it. The feeling coming from the thing he couldn’t see was pure dread in the air and soon the a spot on the ground shifted enough to make a small dust cloud, this was all it took for Adam to try and run away but he couldn’t for some reason. Adam also tried to scream but again he couldn’t and after being stuck like this for a few minutes he noticed that the dust cloud was still there but now it was more see trough like it was thinner and more spread, he decided to trace its spread in his head and noticed it was coiled around him making a barrier a few feet away from him. Eventually he saw his family on the outside of the barrier looking for him and his older sister Lena- who is 16 -seems to be the only one to also feel the dread in the air, but it was more than that for her. After about thirty seconds she was swarmed with feelings of dread, helplessness, and immense apathy and depression to the point where she couldn’t handle it, so she jumped right into the canyon mere feet from her parents and brother. Shortly after she had jumped the dust cloud released Adam and it seemed that everyone but him forgot about Lena’s existence and when his family returned home his house even had one less bedroom and it was like all trace of her had disappeared. From then on through the rest of his life he grew afraid of dust in any form but little did he know that the dust cloud didn’t just release him it attached to him and has made it self undetectable while staying in Adams right ear. On Adam’s birthday 10 years later when he was turning 16 the dust creature began speaking to him and told him that it wasn’t the one responsible for his sister’s death but was rather protecting him from the thing that was. Adam started trying to scream and run because he didn’t believe the being but once again he was silenced and halted but this time the dust revealed its true form to be a snake with wings and it’s entire body was made of wood that sprouted leaves and flours, the snake could alter its visibility and form to a certain extent but this was its natural appearance. The serpent revealed that it took a liking to Adam right away and decided to protect him and then told Adam that from now on he would like to act as his invisible guardian watching over him and warning Adam of any threats, Adam agreed because he assumed saying no would end poorly. After 2 years the 2 of them had been through a lot and formed a bond and trust between eachother after the serpent protect Adam and his parents in a number of events. It was the spring break of Adam’s senior year when he was 18 that this trust was put to the test. Him and his friends went to a beach and were having a good time partying when all of the sudden the water started to turn blood red and rise in the shape of another snake with the same abilities as Adam’s serpent, this new water snake began to warn everyone at the beach that great horrors were coming and that they could only be safe if they went into the water. Most complied after seeing an individual that tried to run get killed by a dust cloud ripping him in half, but Adam realized that the dust cloud was his “guardian” and immediately knew something was wrong but before he could say anything, something had sent the water serpent flying. The new thing that entered the fray was none other than Adam’s sister Lena who somehow hadn’t aged at all and she was riding a serpent made of rock and lava that had apparently saved her from her fall. Apparently the three serpents were siblings and the one made of rock was the oldest while the two others were twins. The twins had apparently gotten tired of the benevolent nature of their older sibling and banished it to another dimension so they could be free to do as they please, and this incident at the beach was a planned massacre to start of a world domination plan of theirs. No one knows why they chose here and now but they weren’t prepared for or aware of their older sibling’s ability to enter the prime dimension every time they used their other powers and so it had been saving would be victims of the twins in secret and bringing them to its dimension unbound by time and space as often as it could so it could train them to fight without worrying about them aging. Adam began watching the battle that ensued in pure horror and seeing his friends bodies turn lifeless and Lena fight along the rock serpent. Adam began to laugh in an unsettling manner, his laughter was so loud and blood curdling that it could be heard in all dimensions and all three of the serpents quickly tried to contain him but Lena got in their way not realizing what her brother was doing, she bought him just enough time where he was too far gone to be stopped. Suddenly copy after copy of Adam began to form and pull itself out of his body until there were enough to surround the part of the beach where this whole thing took place. Their cackles became so loud and pains that blood started pouring out of their mouths and that section of the beach somehow turned into nothing but a crater and only Adam survived. He quickly turned himself in to the foundation where he was put in a cell and given constant supervision and antipsychotic/antidepressant drugs. He was also to be given repeat visits from SCP 999 to help keep himself from derailing like that again. While kept in the foundation he was occasional used to combat world ended class SCPs because for some reason his chaotic laughter was capable of ripping anything apart, even the entire universe at once, this is why scp 999 kept watch on him when he was to be used because if he started to go too far 999 would immediately calm him down and the foundation would devise a new plan. He also provided the foundation with information on the serpents and their powers just in case they weren’t gone for good.
