Item : SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
It is to be held in a room made from steel, the size of the room must be 5m x 5m x 5m. On each side (face) of the inner cuboid room, a chain made from titanium (length 30m) must be connected within SCP XXXX's walls. The room must be filled with hydrogen at all times to keep all the substances within and to make sure SCP XXXX does not perform its "resets".
If the room runs out of hydrogen, nitrogen must be applied ASAP with a small amount (5ml)of liquid uranium which must be poured into SCP XXXX other wise risk of breach.
If SCP XXXX breaches, all site staff working on SCP XXXX must report to their stations and must put on their safety equipment to get ready to capture SCP XXXX and enter it. When trying to re-contain SCP XXXX, staff should use high powered magnets to attract SCP XXXX and when the SCP XXXX stops moving, eight staff should grab hold of the titanium chain they bring with them (four staff should grab one end and another four staff should grab the other).
Four staff must carry one end of the titanium chain into the SCP and attach it to one of the walls using a high powered welder, while the other four staff should find a strong enough surface to temporarily hold the SCP in place (the four staff outside must also weld their end to a surface). A special team will come and return SCP XXXX to its containment area.
If SCP XXXX breaches during a reset, then all site staff must be evacuated from the site of SCP XXXX's holding. A team of twenty special agents will later return to the site and resolve the issue.
Description:
SCP XXXX, also known as "The Dark Spherical Object" is half a meter in diameter. It resembles a black floating sphere, which some people mistaken it for a black hole, but its properties are far different from a black hole. Interestingly its also known to be darker than a black hole.
Photons touching SCP XXXX will immediately turn black and create a micro explosion (does not effect anything), the only know way to have light at all in SCP XXXX is using electrons which are shot at SCP XXXX (this does not effect SCP XXXX in any way apart from producing a small amount of light for a period of 12.5 seconds)
When entering SCP XXXX, you will immediately notice that everything is black and white but this will be visible with the proper lighting, otherwise you will see blackness. The only problem is, our universe laws do not apply here. Expeditions have been done in SCP XXXX which lead to the discovery of seventeen new elements, with one molecule which was discovered and known as Uraniumpluoxide (uranium-plu-oxide), and portals which took anything entering it to another universe. At least forty-five portals have been located, with five of them which have been used by site staff, an estimated three-hundred and seventy-five more portals are thought to exist in the realm but due to the gas within SCP XXXX those portals are unsafe to search for.
The gas within SCP XXXX is of unknown origin and is unknown of what element it is, but breathing it will cause brain damage for a period of one minute, then after a period of five minutes of constantly breathing the gas, the person will dissolve into a black liquid, later becoming the floor of SCP XXXX, which anyone who survives reports a painful experience.
Something to note is no safety suit has lasted longer than twenty-five minutes in SCP XXXX, this was confirmed by group twelve with half of there team dying by the gas. Expedition 23 had discovered creatures lurking within SCP XXXX which lead to the halt of the expedition.
Tests have been done to try to mine the walls and floors of SCP XXXX but all failed, and one caused a "reset". These things "resets" where named after a book which was discovered in SCP XXXX which said "resets" and when opened, pages full of tally marks suggesting the amount of times SCP XXXX has done its anomaly later confirmed by an O4 working on SCP XXXX after experiencing a "reset". The book, when discovered, had 1782 tally marks.
Interview 37:
<Begin Log,>
Expedition team 37 have returned and are being interviewed.
The team contained 6 members with their names and roles being:
Dr.███ - Leader of expedition
Dr.██████ - Study anomalies from SCP XXXX
Dr.█ - Collect anomalies (if requested by Site ██) and send to site ██
Guard 0███ - Protect expedition group from anomalies that can be terminated
Guard 7███ - Same role as Guard 0███
Medical agent ██████ - help members of expedition if there are medical issues
Interviewed: Dr.███
Interviewer: I will probably be the first to say welcome back but anyways, site ██ requires you to tell me every single thing that happened while you where in SCP XXXX.
Dr.███: Lets just say, its darker than you think, but dark is not all that's there.
Interviewer: Go on.
Foreword: Dr.███ makes an expression of fear.
Dr.███: I thought the other groups already told you. There was tall black creatures which where probably as thin as a pencil, well until they spotted you, then they would form into some giant bat looking object. It had attacked Guard 7███ which lead to his termination due to the fact, when Dr.██████ had tried to inspect the damage dealt to Guard 7███ a black fungus started to grow all over Guard 7███'s body which we believe killed Guard 7███ and caused him to turn into a zombie like anomaly. Though terminating him after he turned wasn't hard, but he was one of our best members, though we only had 17 minutes left so we had to leave his body and continue exploring.
Interviewer: Seems tragic but do you or any of your group know any other properties of this "black fungus" apart from killing the host?
Dr.███: No, but we shall do more tests, if given permission by O5, to see if there is any cure. This might also help us find a way to kill those creatures.
Interviewer: Interesting. Well, after you and your group left SCP XXXX, have you particularly felt anything strange, like a sickness, or something?
Dr.███: Me, Dr.██████ and Dr.█ felt nothing but Guard 0███ had started to get a head ache and a small black spore has started to grow on his left hand, it's around half a CM in diameter, doctors have tried to remove the spore and have all failed, causing the spore to increase to 1.5CM in diameter.
Interviewer: Sounds rough, also what happened to the medical agent?
Dr.███: Well, he's gone… he went through one of the portals but we only had a minute before the gas would begin to melt and kill us!
Interviewer: You could of followed the agent, he's probably now stuck in some universe which no one knows anything about.
Dr.███: We couldn't …
Interviewer: why?
Dr.███: Didn't you listen to a word I said, we only had one minute left till the gas would melt through our suits and kill us.
Interviewer: And, that's your excuse!? Your jobs where to explore the anomalies of SCP XXXX not coward away. Who hired you? Anyways, we will now have to send another group to find the medical agent because of you!
Dr.███: Its better than us all being dead.
Interviewer: Well this interview is over, hopefully nothing happens to Guard 0███ and YOU should probably go tell the O5 council about Guard 0███. Also this information about the medical agent will be sent to the O5 council so there's no need for you to tell them, you are not to speak about what happened to anyone bellow clearance level 4!
<End Log,>
