The Shadow, SCP-5001
Containment- SCP-5001 has not yet been captured and is very dangerous, all personnel are advised to watch out for it. Once captured though, it will be held in a specialized room with 1-inch thick walls made of concrete and two guards with security clearance of 3 are to be stationed at the door at all times. The room is to be completely lit by overhead lights, except for one corner where the “entity” should stay, tests will continue as normal but should be carried out with extreme caution. Only personnel of level 4 or higher are allowed inside the containment to study SCP-5001, full mental and physical tests are taken before and after the procedure.
Description- SCP-5001 is an unclassified entity. It takes the form of a shadow in the shape of a tall man. It hides in the dark waiting for its next victim, death comes quick and subjects's brain is completely shut down and is unable to move. It first came of attention to the foundation after many people were seen falling over on the streets with no intentions of getting back up, once the people were killed SCP-5001 fled the scene. Instances of these acts have been seen all over the world, it seems as though it is fairly easy for SCP-5001 to travel around taking account that shadows are everywhere.
Precautions and hours of tracking having found that SCP-5001 has a main place of hiding, New York City. Since New York is full of skyscrapers and shade, it would be a perfect place for a shadow to hide. We have agents standing by in New York ready to take charge and capture SCP-5001. Since being able to see the entity gets you killed, these agents will be wearing specialized goggles that help them see in infrared vision. This may help the agents but we have yet to test the gadgets out because we were unable to use it on account that we can’t find SCP-5001.
Level 4 clearance is required to continue to the capture of SCP-5001
