Item #: SCP-2304

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2304 is and must be contained in an open room with the dimension of 3mx3m. SCP-2304 is located in Site [█]. The room must be well ventilated to collect, secure and exterminate the airborne toxic gas SCP-2304 produce. SCP-2304 can create two kinds off gasses, SCP-2304-1 and SCP-2304-2. These two gasses are similar but also severely different. As well as ventilation the specimen also need artificial sunlight and must be well lit at all times.

SCP-2304’s soil must be replaced with the exact quantity as before each and every month. Failure of this creates a dangerous situation in where the gas becomes corroded and deadly. Is under any circumstance highest priory at the end of the month and must be done by Level 3 Security Clearance Personnel only. The procedure of replacing the soil is done as follows:

Step one is to equip each person going into the containment cell with gas masks. Since both
SCP-2304-1 and SCP-2304-2 paralyzes humanoids you have to protect the staff. The door has to be closed behind the Personnel to create a seal. Walk into the cell and place the foundation created ceramic vase on the table in front of you. The vase is specificly created to show markings on how much soil is needed. Extract the soil from your containment bag into the vase. The soil must not exceed the soil limit and must not under any circumstance be spilled onto the floor. One of the Personnel must grab the specimen by the thick green stalk and take him out of the old pot. When SCP-2304 is outside of it’s soil it starts producing large quantities of SCP-2304-2. This means you must work with haste. Put SCP-2304 into the new container with exact amount of soil and dig the specimen back in. The creation of SCP-2304-2 will stop and it will start producing SCP-2304-1 instead.

SCP-2304 does not need any other supplicants then the nutrition in the soil itself. This means that the soil must be of perfect quantity and from the correct dig site. The dig site is located at the south of the city of [████] in the country of [██████]. The dig site is the original discovery site of SCP-2304. The site must be securely guarded by 2 security agents at a time. Only Level 3 Security Clearance and authorized Class D Personnel is allowed into the containment unit of SCP-2304.

Description: SCP-2304 is a 1m tall Dictanmus flower or commonly referred to as a gas plant. The soil and the roots of SCP-2304 is placed in a foundation created brown ceramic vase which has marking inside for soil measurements. The Specimen itself looks like a normal Dictanmus flower with a thick green stalk, purple flowers sprouting all up over from the stalk. SCP-2304’s flowers will start to become increasingly more brown the longer it goes without new soil.

An aura surrounds SCP-2304 with the airborne toxic gas named SCP-2304-1 and SCP-2304-2. The means of creating the SCP-2304-1 and SCP-2304-2 seems to be similar to photo synthesis and cell respiration. SCP-2304-1 is an airborne toxic gas which when inhaled by humanoids will put them in a state of euphoria and deep sleep. Class D Personnel who has purposefully inhaled the SCP-2304-1 reports that after inhalation, they will dram of fantastical things, both extreme wealth, fame and their own fantasies. There are no other physical or mental side effects after thoroughly checking the Class D Personnel who has been subject to the SCP-2304.
The other gas, SCP-2304-2 is a complete contrast to SCP-2304-1. When a humanoid inhales SCP-2304-2 created from The Specimen, they will as the same with SCP-2304-1 go to deep sleep, but their entire body will turn bleak. After waking the Class D Personnel are reported to have become increasingly more agitated and turn to self harm. The subjects have stated that the dreams they have had from the SCP-2304-2 is the most horrible thing they could have imagined. Other side effects include but are not limited to: Insomnia, [██████], dizziness and internal bleeding. No subjects who has inhaled the SCP-2304-2 gas has survived. By any means they will always find a way to kill themselves.
While from an outsider perspective it seems that subjects exposed to SCP 2304-1 or SCP-2304-2 are still in the current dimension, theories from Dr. [███████] suggest that the subjects are sent to a pocket dimension belonging to SCP-2304.
It seems to indicate that some of the symptoms associated with SCP-2304-2 makes a comeback when subjects exposed to SCP-2304-2 talks about their experiences in their dreams. This happens either or if the subject has been exposed to SCP-2304-1 after inhaling SCP-2304-2. In Abbendum 2304-B in the midst of the interview, the subject, Dr. [█████] starts to sweat and show the common symptoms of the SCP-2304-2.

Addendum: Addendum 2304-B: Recorded transcript of interview with Dr. [█████]

Dr. [████] has inhaled SCP-2304-2, gone through both the dream phase and side effects, he has since inhaled SCP-2304-1 which has calmed him down from his sub SCP-2304-2 state

Interviewer: What exactly did you experience while effected by SCP-2304-2?

Dr. [█████]: It.. it was.. miserable, just the most terrifying, horrible thing any humans could experience.

Interviewer: Could you describe in detail what you saw?

Dr. [█████]: I can’t, it is quite simply, indescribable.

Dr. [████] started to sweat profusely and asked for the interview to be over.

After further studies conducted on Dr. [█████] it seems that some of the side effects came back after talking about his experiences
