Anomalous Area 9000

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the extreme public knowledge of SCP-9000, it is currently impossible to completely contain it away from the public eye and even keep the public away from it. Instead, teams of two Foundation members of Level 4 clearance or members who have been given clearance to work in procedures regarding 9000, are to join the group of tourists on the night tours of the public park on nights of either a full or new moon (deemed SCP-9000's active cycle) in case the anomalous properties of SCP-9000 come into public knowledge by accident. If this were to happen, the person or people who have been victimized by SCP-9000 are to be considered lost for the time being and all immediate witnesses to be administered Class-A Amnestics. SCP-9000's anomalous properties are to be shut off by the Foundation members on-site by conducting a double knock on either SCP-9000-A, -B, or -C. If a person has been exposed to SCP-9000-A, B, or C, then a recovery team will be dispatched later in the night to retrieve them. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS SCP-9000 TO REMAIN ACTIVE FOR EXTENDED AMOUNTS OF TIME DUE TO DANGER OF A BREACH. SCP-9000 can only become active when it is hit by a double hit (double knock if you will) to it's arches, this series of impacts only work in activating SCP-9000 if the object that hits it is biological. Currently no known form for it to know this has been found. Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6 (Village Idiots) are to be the ones to conduct the rescue operation after the surrounding area has been deemed clear for Foundation members to work. [REDACTED] All MTF members must shut off SCP-9000 after entering either 9000-A, B, or C by conducting the same double knock-on A, B, or C. SCP-9000 must not remain active for long periods of time no matter what due to danger of breach. If the MTF members do not reactivate and exit SCP-9000, they will be deemed lost and all Foundation members are to lock down the site until SCP-9000's active cycle period ends. The worlds on the other side have all been reported and confirmed to have breathable air to humans but all Mobile Task Force units are still required to wear oxygen helmets and to undergo decontamination in case an unknown airborne or infectious disease is brought back through the instance. No operations will be conducted with SCP-9000 unless approved by either the 0-5 council or personnel with Level-5 clearance.

Description: SCP-9000 is Stonehenge. SCP-9000-A, B, or C, regard to the completed arches that make up the area of SCP-9000. The anomalous properties of SCP-9000 came into Foundation knowledge quite recently in the year 20██. The date being June ██. The discovery came when a woman filed a missing person's report to the local police station after she had attended the national park's Special Circle Visits at night. The report quickly came into Foundation custody and the women and officers involved with the report were amnestied. The report detailed that two of her children were playing around the monument with sticks. This continued for a while from the mother's point of view until she turned her head away for a second only to not see her children anywhere near. She began searching around the monument but could not find them at all. The circle tour was quickly canceled and the women went straight to the station soon after.

We should consider ourselves lucky SCP-9000 was shut off before the women viewed where her children actually ended up. (See Addendum 9000-A-1) The activation of SCP-9000 might have been due to the sticks the children were playing with were hitting 9000-A causing it to activate and also coincidentally deactivate from the inside. Probably due to the children continuing to play not understanding where exactly they were.

The Foundation planted personnel within the company that owned the area and conducted the tours at Stonehenge. MTF units and Foundation researchers quickly populated the area within and around Stonehenge under the guise that they were a regular inspection crew working at the park. It was when the researchers started conducting experiments on SCP-9000 when it's anomalous properties were shown.

+ Researcher's Note

Dr. McCoal's Log-9000-1

We started experimenting with SCP-9000 to try and figure out if it was truly an anomalous entity. We didn't know exactly how to make it's properties become active but according to the missing person's report, it made the Foundation very suspicious of this area. Stonehenge has been famous for being an object of fascination within the scientific community and the public alike due to it's strange and bizarre nature so finding evidence that might prove that this area is indeed an anomaly would be wondrous.

The anomalous properties that SCP-9000 seems to exhibit are those of spacial and time displacement. How it is able to conduct such humongous feats without the apparent need of a power source is currently unknown. SCP-9000 is able to focus its properties unto the arches surrounding the center of the Stonehenge monument, which have been named SCP-9000-A, B, and C respectively. In the past, Stonehenge's arches have been rumored to number into the 30's so it is highly possible that SCP-9000 could have had more SCP-9000-Letter Instances. The letter instances of SCP-9000 seem to operate as gateways through time and across space. These instances seem to offer near-instantaneous travel across space-time with little to no negative effects on an object that passes through them. The worlds observed on the other side of these instances seem to be uniquely different from each other except for the occurrence of a Stonehenge-Esque like monument being reported to be on the other side as well, aside from SCP-9000-C. (See Addendum SCP-9000-C)

There have been no other reported signs of life inside SCP-9000's instances other than SCP-9000-1's. These specimens harbor many similarities towards the modern-day human aside from their skin being extremely opaque to the point the skin appears to be pitch black. The only light that bounces off their bodies is that of light bouncing off their eyeballs offering the image that the eyes themselves are glowing. They have also been reported to have "glowing mouths" when they open them.

It is unknown if SCP-9000 was made by anything at all and what exactly what purpose it served but it seems the world's SCP-9000's instances open up to have been flooded with 9000-1 specimens. These specimens have been observed to have near-superhuman traits and powers, they've been recorded to reach sonic speeds and to summon whole tsunamis out of nowhere. (See Incident Logs 9000-A-1, 9000-B-3) These specimens have come close multiple times into conducting an SCP-9000 breach in containment and have been deemed extremely dangerous to the Foundation.

+ Researcher's Log

Dr. McCoal's Log 9000-5

After having multiple run-ins with SCP-9000-1's. I and my fellow researchers have discussed raising SCP-9000's Euclid status to Keter. (Log was created before the creation of a new class system introduced in 20██) These 9000-1 instances seem to be near godlike and we currently don't have the resources to be able to try and contain them. Whenever we think we have one cornered, another instance appears from it in a way not unlike asexual reproduction. We've been extremely lucky with the breaks we've been having regarding our encounters with them but we can only keep up this "luck" for so long. For the time being, we're shutting down experimentation with SCP-9000. The 0-5's and Level 5 personnel can continue along as they wish but I believe I've gotten what I needed out of this. I just hope they don't manage to let those things past those arches.

Addendum: Below are addendum paragraph's regarding Anomalous Area 9000. It's instances are separated and given there own sections regarding them and their experiments and incidents

+ SCP-9000-A

SCP-9000-A is one of the completed arches surrounding Stonehenge. 9000-A allows for passage to a world that is nearly identical to our own upon exiting 9000-A into the world. The extent so far in similarities are only the surrounding area of the Stonehenge-Esque monument within -A and the area itself until it reaches a distance of about 61 meter radius. Once that area is met, everything past becomes "out-worldly". The trees of a small forest, nearly 0.8 km away display pigments that wouldn't be possible with trees from Earth. The star of the world is recorded to be a red giant along the end of it's life cycle, the distance from the planet to the star is far enough for the world to be in the "Goldilocks Zone". Constellation viewing has resulted in the star system to be in no known galaxy NASA or any creditable space agency has recorded to date. The oxygen of the planet shares near identical levels of carbon emissions and oxygen molecules to current day Earth so the possibility that highly intelligent life existed here is possible. No other information captured from drone flights or MTF expeditions have yielded any further insight on what caused this civilization to go extinct and the reason why the only remnants of them reside in the atmosphere and the existence of a monument like our own Stonehenge. WARNING: SCP-9000-1 instance levels are reaching what was not thought possible, conducting any further experimentation is extremely dangerous and could result in a SCP-9000 containment breach. Testing on 9000-A must be given exclusively from the 0-5 council. Any experimentation conducted without 0-5 jurisdiction will lead to immediate termination.

9000-A Expedition-1

"First Recorded Rescue Operation into SCP-9000-A"

Rescue Team: Mobile Task Force Epsilon-6 (Village Idiots)

Lead: "Team, targets are two adolescent boys. They've probably been in here for 4 hours. Air checks out to breathable so it's possible they are still alive."

Control: "Epsilon, this is control, can you read us?"

Lead: "Read you loud and clear control. 9000-A seems to allow for radio frequencies to also pass through. How nice of it."

Control: "Epsilon we need to remind you that you have an extremely limited time frame for this operation. 9000-A is currently unknown if it has a fixed active cycle. If that cycle ends, the Foundation will have no way to retrieve you all until it's cycle continues again."

Lead: "Copy that control, we'll try to be efficient in finding them. I'll have my team spread out to try and cover ground that they may have covered."

An hour has passed

Control: "Epsilon Lead, this is control. You're an hour into the op. If you don't find those children you will have to be forced to come back through."

Lead: "Calm down control. I just got something from one of my teams, I'm heading over to check if it's our guys."

Control: "Can you confirm location?"

Lead: We're about 121 meters out from 9000-A. Kids must've only walked till they saw-"

Control: "Lead, come in. What's with the sudden interruption?"

Lead: "Control, we…found your kids. They…they're not looking so good."

Control: "What do you mean? Any mutations, augmentations?"

Lead: "If weird decomposition is a mutation. Then yes."

Control: "Explain, Lead. We need to know if it was caused by SCP-9000-A"

Lead: "It can't have been directly from 9000-A, me and boy's are looking fine. Control, it's not a complete decomposition. It's like random patches from the bodies are just gone. No bite marks or claw marks so we can rule out predators. It's just smooth patches of skin, muscle, and bone just gone."

Control: "Epsilon, you are to return back through 9000-A immediately. The kids are lost but with the possibility of an anomalous creature coming through SCP-9000-A, it's too dangerous to have an ongoing expedition under these circumstances."

Lead: "Roger control. You heard the man, move out back towards 9000-A!"

MTF Member: "Lead, we're further out from the rest of the teams. It may take us a while but we heard over comms about the kids. I think we may have found the creature who did it."

Lead: "Can you confirm? What do they look like?"

Member: "Can't outright confirm but it's been the only thing we've been able to see for miles. At first we thought it was a human but on closer inspection it's a humanoid with black opaque skin. It's been staring at us for a while but it hasn't done anything."

Lead: "Can you confirm it's location?"

Member: "Around 500 meters from 9000-A, but about 100 meters from our position."

A screech was heard over comms

Member: "Lead, do you copy?! Figure just let out a screech on our end, we've got weapons trained on it if it tries…HOLY SH-"

Camera footage transmitted from Epsilon Member's helmet showed the figure, now designated SCP-9000-1, sprinting towards them. Speed's observed to be 100 m/s, a third of Mach speeds in a second.

The remaining members of Epsilon-6 made it through 9000-A and -A was shut off. Screams of the Epsilon Members and SCP-9000-1 were transmitted until 9000-A was shut off.

Note: This marks the first ever sighting and encounter of 9000-1. It's containment was deemed extremely important by the O-5 council once it was discovered. Following log details one of the attempts to capture it.

9000-A Expedition-6

Prelude: This is attempt number 4 to capture SCP-9000-1. Expedition 1-2 have been merely rescue and exploration expeditions. Expedition 3-6 have all been containment attempts on 9000-1. All earlier attempts have either failed or resulted in all Mobile Task Force teams to go radio silent. This is the last attempt at containing SCP-9000-1 within 9000-A.

Lead: "Control, this is lead. Initiating SCP-9000-1 containment attempt #4."

Control: "Lead, this is control, we read you. You are to try and contain SCP-9000-1 through means of a lure back through SCP-9000-A. Where containment teams and other MTF members will be standing by to contain the specimen."

Lead: "Roger, control. We're moving out to Point A. From there we'll try and lure in SCP-9000-1."

10 minutes pass and SCP-9000-1 is within sight of Epsilon Lead

Lead: "Control, specimen is within sight. Repeat, SCP-9000-1 is within sight and is establishing visual contact."

Control: "Lead, your mission is when 9000-1 gives chase, bring it back through SCP-9000-A. So containment teams can capture it. Make sure to plant the bolas near the arch so we can hopefully slow it down."

Lead: "Roger, control. Okay it looks like we got movement"

SCP-9000-1 screeches and sprints away from Epsilon Lead. Speeds thought to be around Mach 1. No audible sonic boom was heard

Lead: "Negative on containment attempt, control. Specimen just left the vicinity. Advise if objective is still to lure it?"

Control: "Stay where you are, Epsilon Lead. This containment attempt is crucial for our understanding of the specimen."

SCP-9000-1 reappears over the horizon. Speeds reaching Mach 1

Lead: "Contact! Contact! Control, SCP-9000-1 has reentered line of sight and is moving in on our position. Initiating containment lure attempt now."

Epsilon Lead attempts to reach SCP-9000-A but 9000-1 reaches him right before he enters 9000-A. Epsilon Lead is grabbed by the specimen while it speeds away. One of the MTF members shoots at SCP-9000-1. A bullet it's the specimen but it continues running until out of sight. MTF members are ordered to capture the blood that dripped from SCP-9000-1's bullet wound and return through SCP-9000-A immediately. All blood contents of SCP-9000-1 evaporated instantly once brought through 9000-A. Containment Attempt #4 was deemed a failure.

O-5 Council Notice: It has come to our attention that SCP-9000-1 levels remained to a singular entity during Expedition 1-5. Since our hostile approach taken during Expedition-6. It of course multiplied and made any further expeditions highly susceptible to a containment breach of 9000-A. Expedition's 7-10 have proven that levels of SCP-9000-1 have reached a point that we can't endanger any more of our operatives or researchers in attempts to contain even ONE specimen. We're shutting down any further SCP-9000-A experimentation. SCP-9000-B and SCP-9000-C experimentation shall continue but must be met with higher restraint and security.

+ SCP-9000-B

SCP-9000-B is the second completed arch of Stonehenge. 9000-B allows for passage to a world that offers no similarities to our Earth aside from a Stonehenge monument on the other side. The air is breathable to humans and oxygen levels allow for life to exist but there aren't enough carbon emissions or signs of structures that hint towards the possibility of intelligent life. Although the possibility of life on this world is within scientific standards. Absolutely zero instances of life aside from plant life have been recovered and recorded. Drone flights and expeditions have confirmed that the planet may be one gigantic singular tree line of magenta leaved plants. The only hint of a clearing in this tree line is where the Stonehenge monument is located along with SCP-9000-B. No rivers or oceans have been discovered either via drone flights or on-foot expeditions so it may be possible that the entire planet-wide tree line is supported solely on underground water veins. The star this planet orbits has been classified as a white dwarf. The distance the planet is from it's parent star is at a distance that shouldn't be possible for plant life to exist at all on a planet. Constellation viewing has resulted in the system resides in a galaxy not currently known to be within the known universe but not in the same galaxy as SCP-9000-A's world. A known galaxy has been viewed from SCP-9000-B but it's one of the furthest recorded galaxies in the universe to date. WARNING: Due to SCP-9000-1 activity. The planet on the other side of SCP-9000-B has been completely submerged underwater. Any attempts to enter SCP-9000-B must have retrieved approval from either the O-5 council or any Level 5 personnel with O-5 clearance.

SCP-9000-B Expedition-1

A drone flight into SCP-9000-B was conducted as the first expedition into 9000-B instead of an on-foot expedition

The drone transmitted back footage of trees of magenta leaves that stretched far past the horizon and the height of the drone didn't show any break in this tree line aside from the monument clearing where SCP-9000-B was located.

No rivers or oceans recorded on drone flight.

No signs of life on drone flight.

Air is breathable and carbon emissions extremely low

Air resistance non-existent.

Drone feed cut off

Researcher's Note: "The sudden disruption of our drone flight was because of the deactivation of SCP-9000-B. One of my fellow researchers shut it off "by instinct" he tells me. He told me and my co-workers that he swore he saw somebody watching them through the tree line. This worries me. It worries me perhaps that SCP-9000-1 may also exist in this world as well. It would give us a stepping stone as to why these worlds have a Stonehenge monument and another connection would be the existence of a SCP-9000-1 entity. But with no signs of life on 9000-A and now 9000-B's worlds. I worry that these specimens may have caused all life to go extinct on those planets. we must be very very cautious on what we do with this information. We're raising the security level of SCP-9000 to Level 4 clearance."

SCP-9000-B Expedition-2

MTF Epsilon-6 goes into SCP-9000-B to initiate the first on-foot expedition. SCP-9000-B will be closed once all members are through. Communication will be non-existent. If MTF members do not reactive and come through SCP-9000-B by the end of the lunar cycle of SCP-9000's active phase. Then all members will be considered MIA/KIA until the next lunar phenomenon that reactivates SCP-9000's active cycle.

Epsilon-6 is still inside nearly 5 hours later, 3 hours left in lunar cycle

SCP-9000-B is reactivated and remaining Epsilon-6 team members return. Suits are drenched with an unknown liquid. Team Members are given an emergency decontamination and the liquid is analyzed.

Liquid is recorded to be a variation of H2O with slight molecule changes.

Several MTF members are missing, deep wounds have been observed on the surviving MTF members. Medical aid was given as needed and their bloodstreams analyzed in case of blood borne diseases.

Epsilon-6 had made contact with multiple instances of SCP-9000-1. Epsilon-6 was forced to fire upon them when the instances made hostile advances and grabbed away many MTF members.

While in retreat, MTF members were observed to slip and slide on water that had been secreting from the ground. (Footage from helmet cameras). The liquid was the same pigment as the water that were found on the surviving MTF members.

Once MTF members made it safely to SCP-9000-B and were trying to activate it, Epsilon Lead looked back at a swarm of SCP-9000-1 instances that had opened their mouths to reveal their glowing insides and a huge wave of liquid rising behind them. MTF members were able to get back through SCP-9000-B before the wave hit but it is safe to say the entire 9000-B area on the other side is completely flooded.

O-5 Council Notice: Due to the confirmation of the existence of SCP-9000-1 instances in both SCP-9000-A and SCP-9000-B's worlds. We highly caution any personnel on activating SCP-9000-C. We have authorized ONE activation of SCP-9000-C that will be overseen by Level 5 personnel and high ranking MTF members of Epsilon-6. On that one activation, an on foot expedition will take place. If any instance of SCP-9000-1 is reported there, we will be shutting down testing of SCP-9000 and all further operations regarding SCP-9000 will only be in the objective of the containment of it's anomalous properties from the public eye.

+ SCP-9000-C

SCP-9000-C is one of the last intact arches of Stonehenge. SCP-9000-C allows for travel to, unlike the -A and -B, to a space station in space. Also unlike -A and -B, there is no Stonehenge-like monument on the other side just the one singular instance of 9000-C. There are no identifiable figures or signs to give a clue to what race/company/or people the station belonged too. The room SCP-9000-C opens up to on the space station is a big large observation room which is currently the only room recorded on the station with there being no doors or vents to other places of the station assuming there are any. The station orbits the super-massive black hole, Sagittarius A in the middle of the Milky Way Galaxy. Once this knowledge came to Foundation knowledge, it scoured any available photos taken of Sagittarius A to make sure there were no signs of the space station but to no avail. It is unknown if either the station has some type of cloaking device to hide from frequency telescopes and satellite cameras or if SCP-9000-C is somehow able to traverse people across time and space. If this theory is correct, the Foundation wouldn't be able to observe the Sol system to confirm this for nearly 400 years according to star movements and star positioning. Any frequency telescopes or x-rays are completely blocked due to the amount of stellar radiation in the galactic center without a super massive built telescope that is of course impossible to construct in the confines of the station. The station also offers zero communication or transmission receiving or sending devices due to the station's computers being non-functional even though the station seems to be running at optimal power. How it obtains and stores this power is currently unknown because there is no way to exit the observation room at this time. NOTICE: SCP-9000-C's station computers have come online, displaying statistics and data on the super massive black hole, Sagittarius A. The computer screens can't be interacted with and can't be changed but the data retrieved from this station excited more of the astronomically inclined of our personnel. Currently unknown as to why and how the station's computers became operational at this time. SCP-9000-C is deemed to be the only safe destination the portals lead to and can be freely tested upon.

IMPORTANT O-5 NOTICE: Due to recent events regarding the activation of SCP-9000-C's station computer screens. A chilling message was flashing on one of them. The message was in modern English, we can't be certain if this is our future selves or some other species who has learned English from our future selves. All we known is that SCP-9000 must no longer be tampered with no matter what. We must keep it deactivated at all times and must keep anyone from reactivating it. The faults we've had with SCP-9000-1 were our own fault, and we must keep our mistakes from affecting those we protect. That is what we at the Foundation intend to do everyday we come in. To protect people who cannot protect themselves from things they don't understand. SCP-9000 will come directly under our jurisdiction and no experimentation other then with SCP-9000-C, can continue without our green-light. Each of you has been warned, we must not let this disease spread.**

SPECIMEN HAS ESCAPED BLACK HOLE PHENOMENON, CLOSE AND LOCK DOWN ALL GATEWAYS TO PREVENT SPREAD. WE ARE SORRY, WE COULDN'T STOP THEM. WE HOPE THIS REACHES YOU, WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL.
