SCP-XXXX pre-containment.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in Site-19 with minimal contact to personnel, pending further trials. SCP-XXXX is to be placed in the company game room for use only by Level-2 or higher staff.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a dice tower used in the tabletop game "Dungeons and Dragons", that appears to be a dwarven leader. When dice are placed into the tower for the first time, the tower will not allow the dice to go through, and will instead demand in a deep and stern tone to insert the figures that represent each character into the dice tower. Following this, a slot will open in the surface the dice tower is placed on. It is currently unknown how SCP-XXXX performs this phenomenon. SCP-XXXX will then ask for the character sheets to be inserted into the slot.

After this has been done, the miniatures will fire out of the front of the dice tower with a fresh coat of paint, even if it has already been painted, and the character sheets will fire out with a sleeve over it, almost as if it was laminated. Following this, the dice tower will fire out a set of dice for each player, consisting of two (2) twenty-sided dice, two (2) ten-sided dice, one (1) eight-sided die, and one (1) four-sided die.

A game grid appears on the surface, and the game will be played like a normal game of Dungeons and Dragons. The same voice is used as the narrator, while character voices are voiced by the players and non-player characters are voiced by the dice tower. It should be noted that the character sheets update on their own, and the player characters are moved by the player, but the NPC figures fire out of the tower and move on their own. Any attempt to move an NPC figure is resisted by a strong, unseen force.

Experiment Log:
Experiment XXXX-E1
Purpose: To attempt to gather more information about SCP-XXXX’s origin.
Testers: Doctor Albright, Doctor Margeon, Researcher Jones
Input: Three (3) 3D-Printed miniatures depicting scientists in lab coats. Three (3) character sheets with “Goals” listed as “To find more information on SCP-XXXX”.
Output: Three (3) painted miniatures resembling Doctor Albright, Doctor Margeon, and Researcher Jones almost perfectly, three (3) sets of white dice with black inscriptions, and aforementioned character sheets.
Gameplay: Following the appearance of the game grid, a factory manifested onto the area with various machines similar to some that would be found in a toy factory. This caused SCP-XXXX to narrate a factory tour guide who explained the process of the factory. Following this, a dice tower that looked similar to SCP-XXXX with no paint hopped out in front of them, and they entered a battle. The factory worker explained how the dwarves gained their powers, and how many aspects of their behavior are made, similar to a “tutorial” of the product.

Doctor Margeon’s Note: It seems these dice towers are mass-produced. Noted.

Experiment XXXX-E2
Purpose: To attempt to investigate SCP-XXXX's ability to respond to errors in gameplay.
Testers: D-12983, a twenty-one-year-old Hispanic male. (It should be noted that D-12983 is an avid player of Dungeons and Dragons.)
Input: One (1) miniature, hand painted by D-12983 depicting a Caucasian Dark Elf. One (1) character sheet filled out and stats rolled properly. There is a mistake in the level count, where the level should be one, but it is instead five.
Output: One (1) aforementioned miniature, albeit with facial features and skin color resembling D-12983. One (1) aforementioned character sheet shredded into confetti-sized pieces. Said pieces fired out directly at D-12983 at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour. D-12983 sustained several papercuts but was otherwise fine. SCP-XXXX then asked for a new character sheet to be inserted. Test aborted. SCP-XXXX returned to its previous state following D-12983's exit from the room.

Doctor Margeon's Note: Remind me to have SCP-XXXX be not allowed anywhere near Bright. He could do some strange [REDACTED] with those shredding capabilities.

Experiment XXXX-E3
Purpose: To attempt to investigate SCP-XXXX's possible sentience.
