Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 should be unplugged from any electronic device(s) and kept in a standard Euclid-class inanimate-object containment cell. Any Foundation personnel found removing, or having removed SCP-XXXX-1 or SCP-XXXX-2 from Site-██ is to be terminated.

Level 2 clearance is required to obtain access to SCP-XXXX

Description: SCP-XXXX-1, upon first inspection, is a standard, wired, desktop computer keyboard. SCP-XXXX-2 appears to be the typical wired computer mouse. (A picture of a similar-looking keyboard and mouse provided)

Object History:

03/13/Year?: A young office worker (SCP-XXXX-VIC01), is hired at an office building in [REDACTED], California. Some office employees, finishing the assembly of VIC01's cubicle, found SCP-XXXX sitting on the desk next to the cubicle's desktop computer, unplugged. The employees plugged SCP-XXXX into the desktop computer but did not use SCP-XXXX. After his first day of employment, VIC01 scheduled a doctor's appointment after coming into contact and using SCP-XXXX for his basic office work. After ██ hours using SCP-XXXX, he had begun to faintly hear noises of SCP-XXXX being used (keyboard and mouse clicking) audibly. Although no-one else could have been using SCP-XXXX as the office was closed for the night. The doctor dismissed VICS01's claims, seeing it as unlogical and impossible.

03/14/Year?: SCP-XXXX-VIC01 returns to the doctor's office, complaining that the sounds of SCP-XXXX's use are much louder and clearer. VIC01 is placed into a mental ward within the city.

03/15-18/Year?: SCP-XXXX-VIC01 continues to moan about the ever-increasing volume of
SCP-XXXX's use. However, once again, no-one was seen working at VIC01's cubicle on any of these days upon future investigation.

03/19/Year?: SCP-XXXX-VIC01 is heard screaming in his room, blood dripping from his ears as he shrieked about "The Clicking". Minutes later, VIC01, after being detained by the ward staff, perished. At this point, the SCP Foundation took over the investigation.

03/20/Year?: SCP-XXXX-VIC01's autopsy performed at Site-██ revealed his eardrums had been shattered. The Foundation retrieved SCP-XXXX from the office building and terminated anyone known to have treated VIC01 in the ward or doctor's office before his death. VIC01's family members are to be noticed that his cause of death was of a stroke.

04/01/Year?: 3 (three) Class D personnel (SCP-XXXX-VIC02 through SCP-XXXX-VIC04) are assigned to test the effects of SCP-XXXX. Of the 3 subjects, none survived. After being hooked up to a desktop computer, VIC02 used only SCP-XXXX-1. VIC03 used only SCP-XXXX-2. VIC04 used both SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2, just like VIC01. VIC02 and VIC03 began to develop similar symptoms to VIC01 after ██ hours.

04/17/Year?: SCP-XXXX-VIC04 lasted the same 16 (sixteen) days before death as SCP-XXX-VIC01. They heard both keyboard and mouse noises; the noise swelling each day, eventually causing sleep-deprivation in VIC04.

04/19/Year?: SCP-XXX-VIC02 and SCP-XXXX-VIC03 lasted 18 (eighteen) days before death; two more than SCP-XXXX-VIC01's 16 (sixteen) days. Additionally, unlike VIC01, VIC02 only heard keyboard pounding, and VIC03 only heard mouse clicking. VIC02, VIC03, and VIC04 all suffered similar causes of death to VIC01; the eardrums being utterly destroyed when examined in an autopsy.

05/03/Year?: Testing on SCP-XXXX is ceased until further notice.
