Distortion Marble-MeargleSchmeargle

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept within a locked, shock-absorbant 1×1×1 inch cubic storage container when not being tested. All tests regarding SCP-XXXX requires approval of two level 3 personnel.
It is forbidden to test SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects inside foundation sites without express permission of site overseer due to concerns of object-induced structural integrity issues leading to potential containment breaches.

Containment Update: After D subject test resulted in said D subject's disfigurement and death, no personnel are permitted to throw or toss SCP-XXXX at other personnel. (See test log XXXX-B)

Description: SCP-XXXX is a spherical opaque black glass marble ball measuring 16 mm in diameter. Anomalous properties are activated when the marble collides with a solid object moving at a minimum speed of 5 feet per second. Upon collision, the marble embeds itself into the solid object the with the exposed point on the marble being perpendicular to the solid object's surface. Changing the traveling speed of the marble to any point beyond 5 feet per second does not alter how marble is embedded in object or cause damage to the object.
After 3 seconds of being embedded, SCP-XXXX morphs into a smooth, hollow ring with a basal diameter equivalent to the diameter of the original marble form with a depth also equivalent to marble form's original diameter. The ring's diameter then radially expands to 100 times its original measurements over the duration of 10 seconds, forcing any surrounding solid matter to radially distort and creating a perfect, 1.6 meter diameter circlular depression that is 16 mm deep.
After the ring holds this shape and size for 30 seconds, it reverts back SCP-XXXX's original marble size and shape. The circular distortion left in the solid object by SCP-XXXX is permanent until filled with more solid matter or object's structural integrity is compromised.

Addendum XXXX-01: Foundation Acquisition

SCP-XXXX was first discovered in ████, Georgia in 19██ when a homeowner in the area reported that a marble in her collection was dropped to the floor resulting in a circular hole in her floor. Foundation personnel arrived at the homeowner's property and took SCP-XXXX. The homeowner was questioned on where she obtained SCP-XXXX, the homeowner claiming to have found it while rockhounding in the local area. Personnel then repaired damages to the home caused by SCP-XXXX after administering Class A amnesiacs to all involved civilians to cover up the event. SCP-XXXX was brought to Site-██ for containment.
