Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in an isolated location, at least one hundred and fifty (150) kilometers away from any populated area, and to be constantly guarded by a regularly cycling team of four (4) armed guards; two (2) specialists required to have at least a doctorate or PhD in astrophysics and/or quantum mechanics; and between one (1) to five (5) D-Class members for routine testing and potential outbreaks. These members of personnel must be vigilant of SCP-XXXX for eighteen (18) hours a day in regular time, and twentyfour (24) hours in the "melodic" phase. They are to live in a dwelling loculus directly attached and isolated through thick, soundproof walls to SCP-XXXX's containment cell. Said cell must be composed of obscured, bulletproof glass and concrete floor and ceiling, with only yellow-red LEDs lining the perimeter of the floor for light. Any other type of light source is forbidden, as it will attract SCP-XXXX-1/2/3/4.
The guard has to be changed at least twice a day on regular periods, and at least three times in the "melodic" periods. All members of personnel exposed to SCP-XXXX's "melodic" phase must be withdrawn from the Site and [DATA EXPUNGED]. They are then to be given to SCP-XXXX-1 through SCP-XXXX-4 as feeding material or [REDACTED].
Any form of abnormal behaviour from SCP-XXXX-4, including unusual movement, unprompted quantum tunneling or inconsistent feeding routine, has to result in the termination of the interested part of the population.
All of the participants to the containment of SCP-XXXX must be either deaf or well versed in the IS (International Sign) language. All participants to the containment of SCP-XXXX must be equipped with sound-cancelling headphones, and they will communicate with eachother through a built-in speaker or through written manner. SCP-XXXX and all its contents must not be exposed to any visive stimulation outside of the required stimuli that connect to feeding or testing.
Every four (4) weeks, a member of the guard protected by an HAZMAT suit and sound-cancelling headphones must enter the containment cell to clean it of any residual debris or dead instances of SCP-XXXX-1/4. Cleanup must prioritize corpses or nearly dead instances of SCP-XXXX-4. All the material retrieved from the cell must be [DATA EXPUNGED] and incinerated.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cylindrical, tall vessel built in clear, white quartz, topped with a ring shaped lid that shows no signs of being removable. Inside of SCP-XXXX seems to be a miniature singularity, that absorbs any matter in its vicinity. Any matter absorbed seems to reach a separate and non-interactable region of space-time. Nothing seems to be able to leave SCP-XXXX's singularity once it enters the point of no return.
From the singularity periodically escape different kinds of insectoid creatures, designated as SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4. These secondary anomalies take the form of albino members of different invertebrates, respectively: pill bugs (Armadillidiidae family); cockroaches (Blattodea family); luna moths (Actias Luna) and grasshoppers (Acrididae family), specifically locusts.
These instances are periodically emitted from the hole on top of SCP-XXXX, in groups following a specific sequence of numbers, observed to be between the seventy-seventh (77) and eighty-eighth (88) digits of Pi (π). They are genetically identical to other members of their species native to Earth, however
