Item #: SCP-5192

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5192 is to be kept under constant observation by three teams of five research personnel, assigned 5192-T-1, 5192-T-2 and 5192-T-3, each led by an instructor: Dr. H. ██████, Dr. P. ██████ and Dr. Z. ████ respectively. All teams are to be kept under constant vigilance by emergency response team 5192-S, consisting of twenty four armed security personnel with four military grade incinerators available at all times.

Should 5192-S fail to secure containment, an on-site emergency state is to be declared and off-site assistance is to be deployed. No personnel are to be allowed to leave the facility until the on-site emergency state is lifted.

Should containment prove ineffective, SCP-5192's observation site is to be terminated via an HE-1 Bombing strike, followed by an HF-1 Napalm strike. This process is to be repeated every four hours until no major traces of organic material are detected on-site.

Description: SCP-5192 is a celestial body, approximately 1,852 kilometers in diameter (as of its last documented observation report), with a mostly red and grey surface area, and a number of dark metallic formations protruding from its crust, some of which are estimated to be as tall as 3.6 kilometers. Its surface is believed to be largely composed of biological matter; particularly muscle mass, while its structures appear to be made of an unknown metallic material.

SCP-5192's main method of locomotion is believed to be related to its ability to shift its own gravitational field, as it has been observed "shrinking and expanding" between 12 to 60 hours before disappearing and reappearing at its destination. Attempts to predict its next point of arrival have been mostly met with failure, though it is easily lured to heavy radio emissions.

Occasionally, once SCP-5192 approaches orbit on larger celestial bodies and satelites, multiple projectiles can be seen leaving 5192's surface and crash-landing on its target. Such projectiles are to be labeled 5192-P-XXXX upon first observation, and until 5192 ceases its attack. Attacks have been noted to last between twelve hours to four months, with 5192's mass steadily decreasing until it stops completely.

SCP-5192 appears to be unable to determine its target's physical composition, as it has been obesved attempting to launch an attack on Jupiter's surface during december of [REDACTED]. Though the reasons behind the attacks remain officially undetermined, it is speculated that SCP-5192 may be seeking sustenance to replenish and increase its biological mass. It has yet to approach Earth's orbit.

Should SCP-5192 approach Earth's orbit, protocol [REDACTED] must be put in effect immediately. The following orders are to be enforced among staff members, D-Class personnel and civillians alike:
