SCP-5975, Without The Beam Of Light
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5975 is to be walled off with a 30 meter steel wall filled with concrete and security guards all along the wall. Additionally, turrets are to be set up in case the wall is swarmed.
Description: SCP-5975 is a tropical forest 20 Kilometers south-east of the city of Palembang, Indonesia. Once a subject enters SCP-5975, no sunlight is observed at all, no matter the time of day. SCP-5975 is filled with thick fog and heavy forrage, along with SCP-5975-1 and SCP-5975-2 instances. SCP-5975 has ruins of shacks and houses, which are locked. Keys are found, which can be used to unlock these doors. Additionally, beams of light will appear occasionally, which point to a giant white glowing tree of unknown species. Compasses or any other navigation device will stop working. A giant titanium door embedded in the ground has been found, but we have yet to find out the code.
SCP-5975 came to the attention of the Foundation when reports of people going missing in a forest 20 Kilometers south-east of the city of Palembang, Indonesia. Once Field Operatives arrived, they entered the forest. Only half the Operative team survived, see document SCP-5975 Exploration Log 1 for more.
Addendum 5975.1
SCP-5975-1 are unknown creatures with white glowing eyes that follow subjects. They walk at the same pace of the average human, but are still dangerous. There is an unknown amount of these instances in SCP-5975.
SCP-5975-2 are unknown creatures with red glowing eyes that follow subjects. They walk at twice the pace of SCP-5975-1 instances, and are extremely dangerous. There is an unknown amount of these instances within SCP-5975.
Addnedum 5975.2
Date: ██/██/██
After Test 5975-1, a swarm of SCP-5975-1 and SCP-5975-2 instances approached the walls. They climbed the walls and breached containment. The security guards were overwhelmed and were confirmed dead. MTF Gamma-Theta 17 "Are We Cruel Yet?" had to be called in. Approximately 30 percent of the team was wiped out in the following fight, with 20 percent of the 70 percent being injured.

LA-17 Adonis: Radio's live, everybody good?
LA-17 Sullen: Hold on.
SiteCommand: 30 Seconds Until Deployment.
LA-17 Adonis: Copy that. Sullen, you done?
LA-17 Sullen: Yeah, I'm ready.
LA-17 Adonis: Everyone good?
LA-17 Bleak: Me and Veradil are good.
LA-17 Adonis: Great. Keep your lights on, it'll be dark in there. If you see any glowing white or red eyes, hit your helmet and tell us. Remember, this is a forest. There's a pretty solid chance we could get seperated, so if we do, hold your position until the other team finds you. Use broadcasters if a member isn't responding, and if you see red or white glowing eyes, FIRE.
SiteCommand: 15 Seconds Until Deployment.
LA-17 Adonis: LA-17 Veradil, you take lead. Information states we'll need to search the area for keys to unlock doors. There'll also be beams of light, which probably lead somewhere, so follow it.
LA-17 Veradil: Copy that.
LA-17 Adonis: Anything else?
LA-17 Bleak: Yeah. Do we have a specific path to the doors?
LA-17 Adonis: Unfortunately, negative.
LA-17 Bleak: That's bad.
LA-17 Archleon: Yep.
SiteCommand: Ten seconds until deployment.
LA-17 Sullen: Alright.
LA-17 Archleon: I hope this operation goes well.
LA-17 Adonis: Get ready, men.
SiteCommand: Killing Fields, you are clear to begin operation.
LA-17 Adonis: Let's roll.
Team enters SCP-5975. As expected, SCP-5975 is very foggy and dark. LA-17 Veradil takes lead.
SiteCommand: Team, we are now monitoring you. But regardless of that, let us know if you experience unexpected events.
LA-17 Adonis: Copy that.
Team begins searching for 20 minutes, until they finally find a key.
LA-17 Bleak: I found a key.
LA-17 Sullen: Good job Bleak.
LA-17 Archleon: That was surprisingly quick.
LA-17 Adonis: Alright. One key down. 3 more to go.
LA-17 Veradil: Now we have to find where this key goes.
LA-17 Adonis: Yeah true.
Team continues to search for 15 more minutes, finally finding the door.
LA-17 Sullen: I found a broken up house. Let me try the door.
LA-17 Veradil: Seems locked to me.
LA-17 Archleon: Then let's use the key.
LA-17 Adonis: Alright. Bleak, insert the key in.
LA-17 Bleak enters the key in, and the team looks inside. They see a pair of white glowing eyes.
LA-17 Veradil: SHIT! OPEN [RADIO STATIC]
Gunfire is heard, with quick footsteps following behind along with more pairs of white and red eyes appearing.
SiteCommand: Team Lead, you copy? Is everything alright?
LA-17 Adonis: We're being chased by SCP-5975-1 and SCP-5975-2 instances!
SiteCommand: Copy that. Do you need an evacuation?
LA-17 Adonis: No. The situation isn't too bad. Bleak, throw a grenade!
LA-17 Bleak: Copy that!
The grenade is thrown, and it slows down the instances long enough for the team to lose them.
LA-17 Sullen: SiteCommand, we lost them.
SiteCommand: You lost your team members?
LA-17 Sullen: No. We lost the instances.
SiteCommand: Oh. Keep going.
30 minutes of searching occurs. Luckily, the team finds the key…. Next to an unknown liquid.
LA-17 Veradil: I found a key. But it's next to -pauses- an unknown liquid.
LA-17 Adonis: I guess don't touch it. Hopefully a [RADIO STATIC] does not come out of that.
LA-17 Sullen: Yeah, hopefully.
LA-17 Archleon: Let's hope that's what lets us get out of here alive.
LA-17 Bleak: Now let's find the door.
SiteCommand: I keep hearing radio static. Hopefully you guys aren't injured or anything?
LA-17 Adonis: No. But you better get used to the static, [RADIO STATIC] it'll probably happen often.
LA-17 Sullen: I see a beam of light!
LA-17 Veradil: Let's go. It might lead us to the door.
LA-17 Bleak: Yeah.
The team follows the beam of light, and without knowing it, they are watched by red and white glowing eyes as they follow the beam of light.
LA-17 Sullen: You sure this is the right choice? It's part of the anomaly. We could be walking into a trap.
LA-17 Adonis: We can [RADIO STATIC] it, I'm sure of it.
LA-17 Archleon: Bit bold to say that in an anomaly.
LA-17 Sullen: Let's just follow it.
LA-17 Bleak: Yeah, it isn't looking that bleak.
The team does not laugh, not even a chuckle.
LA-17 Bleak: Yeah -pauses- that [RADIO STATIC] a good joke.
LA-17 Veradil: I see a white tree in the distance.
LA-17 Sullen: Wow, a white tree in an [RADIO STATIC] forest. What else?
LA-17 Adonis: I see a note!
The note reads "for the first is north but it only comes forth so you must first find the fourth, for the tree of white is in the lore".
LA-17 Bleak: What the fuck does [RADIO STATIC] mean?
LA-17 Archleon: Not sure.
LA-17 Veradil: I don't know. Maybe there's four notes, which we can find after using the four keys, maybe? Also, maybe we should go north?
LA-17 Sullen: Navigation devices don't work here.
LA-17 Archleon: No shit sherlock.
LA-17 Bleak: He's right. I checked the navigation device.
LA-17 Adonis:Wait… [RADIO STATIC] RUN!
The team is quickly surrounded as the instances begin closing in on them.
LA-17 Bleak: IT'S TIME FOR [RADIO STATIC] LAST STAND!
LA-17 Veradil: OPEN FIRE!
LA-17 Archleon: Yeah about that, -pauses- WE'RE FUCKED.
LA-17 Sullen: SiteCommand, we're being overrun!
SiteCommand: Copy that. We're sending another team to evac you.
LA-17 Archleon: What kind of [RADIO STATIC] signed up for that?
SiteCommand: MTF Eta-19 "The Hard Way".
LA-17 Sullen: I don't think there's -RADIO STATIC- I DON'T THINK THERE'S [RADIO STATIC]
At this point, all radio contact with MTF Lambda-17 "The Killing Fields" was lost. MTF Eta-19 "The Hard Way" was sent to explore.
