Description:
SCP-4181 is a large millipede believed to be a Lazarus Taxon of Arthropleura, a prehistoric animal deemed to have gone extint during the late Carboniferous Period. First discovered by park rangers in the valley of the grand canyon after a large earthquake, Afermentoned earthquake is supposedly the reason for SCP-4181’s emergence. SCP-4181 burrows through rock by orally secreting an acidic compound designated SCP-4181-A, SCP-4181 will stick three-fourths of its body out of the ground and from here it will either jump towards victims, spray SCP-4181-A, or performing a sweeping motion with its body. SCP-4181-A, a product of SCP-4181’s digestion, can rapidly dissolve whatever it touches when exposed to air and silicon has shown high resistance to this effect. The foundation currently has contained 13 instances of SCP-4181, designated SCP-4181-1 through SCP-4181-13
