Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard containment facility and kept under 24 surveillance through cameras by on-site surveillance team. Surveillance team must have a detailed log of all known statements made in the presence of SCP-XXXX at all times. All contact with SCP-XXXX must be permitted by Dr.█████.
As of 23/08/99
SCP-XXXX must be kept under 24 hour surveillance through cameras by both on-site and off-site surveillance teams. Off-site surveillance team must be located at least 1 km away from SCP-XXXX.
In the event of wide range cognitohazard, off-site surveillance team will guide on site security if sufficiently unaffected. If the wide range cognitohazard renders security incapable, off site security guided by surveillance team must be brought on site immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a genderless, hairless, humanoid child. This form is subject to change. It seems to remain dormant unless a statement is made in it's presence. Depending on the nature of the statement different effects will occur. It is unknown what statements were made in the presence of SCP-XXXX before containment began.
Statements made in SCP-XXXX's presence have a cognitive effect on the subject who made the statement causing the subject to believe the statement is true and act on that belief in an extreme manner. Depending on the nature of the statement, SCP-XXXX may affect only the speaker, everyone who hears the statement, everyone within 534 meters or even itself.
02/02/98
Experiment 002-A: Test Subject 242-D was sent into SCP-XXXX's containment cell with instructions to tell SCP-XXXX that it's containment cell walls were grey, SCP-XXXX showed no response. Test Subject 242-D unaffected.
Experiment 002-B: Test Subject 243-D was sent into SCP-XXXX's containment cell with instructions to tell SCP-XXXX that it's Containment Cell walls were blue (they were actually coloured grey at Dr.XXXXXs request). this caused SCP-XXXX to take a glance at the wall but otherwise caused no initial reaction in either SCP-XXXX or Test Subject 243-D
Experiment 002-C: Test Subject 244-D was sent into SCP-XXXX's containment cell with instructions to tell SCP-XXXX that it's containment cell walls were grey. SCP-XXXX responded by raising it's head, looking Test Subject 244-D in the eye and saying the word "Liar". this is the only recorded instance of SCP-XXXX speaking. Test Subject 244-D as well as Test Subject 243-D (held in a separate cell) simultaneously fell to their knees and began begging SCP-XXXX for forgiveness, after a minute of this had passed with no visible response from SCP-XXXX, both Test Subjects attempted to commit suicide by biting their tongues. both Test Subjects were immediately removed from their cells and brought to Medical Bay-17 for treatment, treatment was successful on both, however they both died from what initially appeared to be a seizure simultaneously exactly 24 hours from when SCP-XXXX spoke.
Autopsies on both Test Subjects found the cause of death to be unclear
Dr.█████ Notes: True statements made in SCP-XXXXs presence will not activate SCP-XXXXs effects unless that statement conflicts with a previous statement. Further experimentation required.
06/17/98
Experiment-014: Test Subjects 234-D and 127-D entered SCP-XXXX's containment cell with instructions to tell the other D-Class Subject "I love you" seconds later the 2 subjects began sexual intercourse on the floor of it's cell. Security removed the subjects from SCP-XXXX's containment cell with ease however, once separated both subjects immediately began pleading with security to allow them to see the other and became violent when told they could not.
SCP-XXXX showed no response
Subject 234-D administered Class-A Amnestics, while 234-D did in fact forget all interactions with 127-D as well as 127-D's identity, 234-D still appears to be under the effects of SCP-XXXX. upon reuniting with 127-D, 234-D showed no lack of recognition.
Dr.█████ Notes: Statements made in the presence of SCP-XXXX but not directed at SCP-XXXX will cause subjects to believe the statement and act upon it accordingly. Amnestics ineffective as a counter measure. Further experimentation required.
10/12/98
Experiment-019: Test Subjects 217-D and 218-D entered SCP-XXXX's containment cell with the following instructions. 217-D is to say to 218-D that SCP-XXXX "has brown hair". Upon completion of the sentence SCP-XXXX sprouted 3 cms of brown hair from it's entire body. Subjects 217-D and 218-D showed no signs of being affected by SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX showed no response to it's sudden hair growth.
Dr.█████ Notes: Statements made about SCP-XXXX but not directed at SCP-XXXX will cause SCP-XXXX to change it's form physically to match the statement. Further experimentation required.
23/08/99
Experiment-022: Test Subject 245-D was sent into SCP-XXXXs Containment Cell with instructions to tell SCP-XXXX that it "does not exist". SCP-XXXX reacted with audible cries and began to rock back and forth where it sat. Test Subject 245-D also began showing extreme emotional distress but was not removed due to the effects of SCP-XXXX having spread to the researchers listening in on the experiment. the 2 researchers who were affected were Dr.██ and Dr.█
the affected researchers appear to have become effectively invisible to all life, both researchers seemed incapable of seeing one another and began searching the facility for people. Upon discovering a patrolling security agent, Agent ███, the researchers began attempting to get his attention, Agent ███ failed to acknowledge the researchers. at this time Dr.█ split from the group and headed to Media Storage Bay 5 where he made an audio recording of himself (see Audio Recording - 5973) and played it back, Surveillance footage seems to indicate that Dr.█ was incapable of hearing himself on the tape and hung himself in that very room using his neck tie.
Shortly after Dr.█ left, Dr.██ began beating Agent ███, Agent ███ did nothing to stop the beating and was summarily killed. Surveillance footage of this event was recorded (see Surveillance Log - 59084) however surveillance teams reported that they were unable to see what it was that killed them despite the video evidence. Site wide alarms were raised and security teams were instructed to fire upon and around anyone who seemed to be under attack from either nothing or an invisible force. Agent ██ was attacked by the researchers and wounded when he was subsequently fired upon, Dr.█ died instantly
Upon the death of the final researcher, SCP-XXXX stopped it's crying and resumed it's dormant state, it was then found that Test Subject 245-D had committed suicide by biting off their own tongue.
All surveillance footage of the event has since been examined and no tampering has been found

09/10/99
Experiment-025A: Test Subject 231-D entered SCP-XXXX containment cell with instructions to tell SCP-XXXX that "SCP-XXXX is blue". SCP-XXXX skin colour changed to a deep blue. On-site surveillance team reported that Test Subject 231-D had also changed skin color, Off-site surveillance confirmed 231-D was unaffected physically. Off-site surveillance officer, Corporal ███, proceeded to SCP Site ██ where he also reported Test Subject 231-D had not changed skin colour.
Dr.█████ Notes: Statements directed at SCP-XXXX that are also about SCP-XXXX causing wide range cognitohazard effect also effect SCP-XXXX physically. Persons outside the 534 meter effect range are unaffected even if they step into the effective range before the effects wear off. Further experimentation required.
11/10/99
Experiment-025B: Test Subject 231-D administered Class A Amnestics, cognitohazard unended.
Entire SCP Site ██ staff administered Class A Amnestics, Congnitohazard unended.
Test Subject 231-D killed. Surveillance reports 231-D's skin colour changed back to normal upon death. SCP-XXXX showed no reaction and is still blue.
Dr.█████ Notes: SCP-XXXX wide range cognitohazard effect wears off when subject speaker dies, currently no other known methods for ending the cognitohazard effect are known. Further experimentation required.
