Melonwater

This is where I put ideas and stuff.
I'm really new here and have yet to publish my first SCP/tale.
Feedback would definitely be appreciated.

Note: This idea doesn't seem like it's going to work. Working on it.

This is inspired by this photo (thanks to Sophia Light)
—As you can see it looks like a hollow balloon instead of an actual spacecraft, and some photoshop (e.g. removing the caved in areas of the surface) would definitely do the trick.

Description

  • An unidentified flying object approximately 30m in diameter. A small opening is located on the bottom.
  • It is not seen normally.
  • Occasionally it “lands”, hovering a few meters above the ground, and while doing so produces a intermittent humming sound. Presumably a way to attract "test subjects":
  • Any sentient biological being coming within 10 meters of the landed object will express immense curiosity towards it, and will eventually be abducted through the opening (sucked in)
  • The abducted individuals will be released after set time, when they will have become tested upon in some way. Examples: human with animal limbs biologically attached, human with parts of cerebral cortex removed or modified

Additional notes

  • For containment procedures, possibly something such as magnetic field to prevent it from taking off
  • Possibly a test log/experiment log/or whatever input-output log. Maybe a journal of an abducted individual.
  • The ideal tone here is that of the mysterious/unknown, and possibly fear
  • You probably have a better idea for what's supposed come out of the UFO.
