Mematic Hazard

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Any instances of SCP-XXXX are to be found, transferred to a secure database, and then deleted from public viewing. All viewing of SCP-XXXX must be conducted by a person between the ages of 74 and 56. This does not apply for D-Class during tests. If an instance of SCP-XXXX failed to be found before a civilian viewed it, the subject, now known as SCP-XXXX-A is to be terminated as soon as possible. Anybody in close contact with SCP-XXXX-A should be applied amnestic as soon as possible.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an image of unknown origin containing a variation of a random internet trend. The differences in the pictures are subtle, yet lethal. Anybody between the ages of 4 and 39 viewing any such image will usually die by cardiac arrest, asphyxiation, or ruptured brain aneurysm, though other forms of death have happened. This is due to the brain's reaction to the image, causing the SCP-XXXX-A to laugh uncontrollably, then dying. People outside the said age group are not affected at all. Memetic effects can be reversed if another individual intervenes and applies amnestic within a certain time period.
