She sat at her desk reading a novel. She heard Adam’s voice saying, "Hello? Miss Thompson?" Iris groaned, the last time Adam’s had done something like this it had ended up with the gocs ambushing them.
“Come in,” Iris said, setting her novel down.
“We have a problem”
“What kind”
“ will explain along the way ”
……………ok.
In the briefing room, all stops were out, as the Intelligence Agent (IA) was giving info faster than she could take it in. it was “intel says” this and “observations say” that. Iris just wanted to go to bed, but she was in charge, so she sat up.
And then there were explosions on site. Everybody else sat up, startled, as they were clearly not expecting anything. Iris opened her mouth to speak, but then a platoon of Mobile Task Force (MTF) rushed in and said
“The site is under attack, we need to move.” It was as if everybody was running from some invisible foe, most of them went to the breach shelter, while Iris, site director light, and dr alto clef ran to the control room.
The control room was a mess of Klaxons and flashing red lights. Iris stopped for a moment, adjusting from a dull corridor to a roomful of lights and movement.
The whole room was in utter chaos. Iris left the hectic control room and started to run to the MTF A9 armory, in sector 2.
When Iris reached the armory, most of her team was there, hurriedly gearing up. Iris’s arrival went unnoticed. Iris hurriedly put on a Kevlar vest. When Iris finished sliding on the vest, she grabbed an HK416 as a primary weapon, an iPhone 11 as a secondary weapon, and a Glock 17 as a sidearm, she felt ready.
“Move out,” Iris said to her team. her team did not know she was there previously, but being seasoned professionals, they kept their surprise to themselves and noded.
The team ran in a double-column line to sector 3, where security was facing heavy casualties. When the team got there, they were instantly pinned down by the enemy fire.
About half of her team went down then and there. The main security force was down to 5 people, about half a squad. They were almost out of ammo and they were taking very heavy casualties by the time Iris’s team got there.
Iris opened fire, taking down an enemy with each shot! Soon there were no hostiles left. What was left of the security squad thanked Iris and her team.
The rest of the MTF that was with Iris split up, Iris talking about 5 team members with her into the HCZ, an area where Iris felt her task was. little did she know that she would face off against SCP-106.
When Iris was running through the facility, the stench of gunpowder was everywhere. She heard an announcement saying ”SCP-106 has breached containment. Please be vigilant and exit the facility in an orderly fashion—” at that point, there was a gunshot and a thud.
Iris froze remembering the horror stories. some say he is a god from an era long ago, others say he is WWI in the flesh, while others say he pulls prey into a pocket dimension and toys with and tortures them than spits them out to die. Unknown to Iris, all of those are at least half true, and more.
Iris resumed running. Around the corner, she heard oozing slime, heavy footsteps. Iris froze, smelling the stench of mud, death, and disease. She heard gunshots then a scream which cut off abruptly. Iris then saw a dark, slime-soaked figure coming towards her, and she ran, taking potshots at it, to no avail.
Recognizing the monster as SCP 106, she ran. Sweat soaked her body. She almost missed the team of NTF(MTF Elipson 11 ”9 tailed fox”). she ran towards them, sliding through the gap in the line as they opened fire.
Later, after the debriefing, Iris lay down and started to think about how did this happen. The forest air was heavy with the smell of smoke, fuel, and sweat. Helicopters were carrying out the wounded, and some of the SCPs were being loaded onto trucks.
The chaos was nothing, compared to Irises head. “What happened”, she wondered, a question that was probably not going to be answered. Iris knew that this will probably be redacted from documents soon. Hell, she was lucky that the warhead did not detonate. Iris was to be evacuated with the class A personnel in a few hours.
Amazingly, no news networks have caught on, despite the fires and explosions. The foundation outdid themselves this time.
iris thought as she stood up, and steadied herself against the tent wall. She exited the tent, stepping into a cloud of dust from a helicopter landing, and given the fact that there were several armed guards around. the landing pad, iris could tell they were important, whoever they were. As the helicopter touched down, a person in a suit exited.
“Iris Thompson, AKA SCP-105, will you come with me,” the person said, pulling her into the helicopter. Before iris could say anything, the person attempted to drug her, but iris fought back. She kicked the person in the stomach, but then the person stuck a needle into, her leg. Then she blacked out.
Iris woke up in a fancy bedroom, nicer than anything she had ever been in. the air was light, but iris could tell it was filtered. Iris realized her clothes had changed, instead of a combat suit she was wearing a formal suit. She got out of the bed, the heavy blanket falling on the plush floor.
Iris stepped out of the room into a hallway that looked right out of a palace, right down to the gold plated light fixtures. It was still very clearly a foundation site due to the logo being omnipresent. A person in a suit walked up to her, clearly knowing who she was.
“Mam, will you please follow me”, the man said. Iris chose to follow him, but it struck her as odd that he referred to her as mam, not SCP-105. They stepped into an auditorium with the logo of the O5 council
“SCP-105, welcome to the O5 council”.
