Description: SCP 5292 is of a Native American totem that is round and made of oak wood. The top of the totem has a blue face carved in the wood. When a subject makes physical eye contact with the face of SCP 5292 they claim to hallucinate a face telling them "Insomnia is a gift.". After contact with the subject if the subject sleeps they have reported having dreamed of a tall tan humanoid monster SCP 5292-1 chasing them through an empty forest that had trees with no leaves. In some cases subjects exposed to SCP 5292 haver never woken up. Subjects after they have woken up say that if they die in the dream they die in real life. SCP 5292-1 is about 8 feet tall. Reports also say that SCP 5292-1 has a mouth full of about 72 teeth that are 4 cm in length. The creature can run up to 45 mph and claw and destroy the victim's body with its teeth. If exposed to SCP 5292 for an extended period of time they will enter a coma in which escape is impossible.
Addendum: SCP 5292 was brought to site X05 Antarctica in 1986. The scientist in charge of the oversight of SCP 5292 was Dr. [REDACTED]. Until the SCP was moved to site X08 in 1994 were it is currently contained in now. During the first test on SCP 5292 in site X05, two class D personnel were exposed to SCP 5292 were given class Class-A amnestics as they claimed to see SCP 5292-1.
Addendum-2: A second SCP 5292 was found in [REDACTED] in 1997 and was brought to site Z06 in 2004. The second SCP, SCP 5292-2 was perfectly identical to SCP 5292 except red was in the place blue was on SCP 5292. A test in 2004 on SCP 5292-2 found that if you cut the face-off of the totem pole it is rendered harmless SCP 5292 is still in original condition. Scientists at site X08 are still currently trying to understand how SCP 5292 is functioning.
