SCP-5170 (D-9306) at the time of registration as D-class personnel. (anonymised)

Item #: SCP-5170

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
Due to the nature of SCP-5170 no special containment procedures are required.

Description:
SCP-5170 is part of the D-class personnel and is given the number D-9306. Subject is also known as "Samuel Dole", nicknamed "Sam". SCP-5170's appearance ist that of a young Caucasian male with medium-long, dark brown hair. Subject is 1.87 metres tall and weighs about 85 kilograms, age unknown. Personality is described as introverted, polite and friendly. SCP-5170 is characterised by the fact that it does not appear to be affected in any way by other anomalies. The phenomenon was recently observed by coincidence. SCP-5170 has undergone several medical tests, but shows a normal human anatomy and no signs of supernatural abilities. Interviews revealed that SCP-5170 is apparently unaware of its immunity to anomalies. Regarding past incidents, the subject describes itself simply as a "lucky man".

SCP-5170 is of high interest as it could potentially open up completely new possibilities for anomaly investigation. It is currently under discussion whether and how SCP-5170 could be used. This would lead to an immediate classification in the object class "Thaumiel". Tests with SCP-173 and SCP-049 are planned next. It is fairly certain that there will be no interaction between SCP-5170 and the two objects, as they will probably not recognise SCP-5170 as a human or any kind of living matter.

Addendum 5170-1:
The first reported incident involving SCP-5170. The subject tried to interact with SCP-294, but failed to get a simple cup of coffee. SCP-5170 tried again several times, but without success. Other D-class personnel was able to use SCP-294 at the same time without any problems. This suggests that SCP-294 only does not respond to SCP-5170.

Addendum 5170-2:
Another incident was reported anonymously when SCP-5170 found a copy of SCP-096's file entry on a desk during cleaning works. The subject then accidentally looked at the attached photo of SCP-096's face. However, for some reason this did not trigger any reaction in SCP-096.

Addendum 5170-3:
For testing purposes, five sweets of SCP-1079 were given to SCP-5170 at once. SCP-5170 showed no symptoms as if it was just ordinary chewing gum. It is assumed that neither organic nor inorganic anomalies have an influence on SCP-5170.

Addendum 5170-4:
For testing purposes, SCP-5170 was sent into the chamber of SCP-682 and told to start a conversation. SCP-5170 was kept in the chamber for almost 3 hours, but no conversation took place. SCP-682 ignored SCP-5170 at all times and remained motionless on the ground, even at close distance to SCP-5170. SCP-5170 seemed to be slightly scared, but did not panic at all. The subject was then allowed to leave the chamber. This event was recorded as a significant anomaly of tremendous importance.
