Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a box in a storage room of Site-19. The book does not need to be watched, but any personnel at the site who wish to read the book require Level 2 access or more.

Any files regarding the book need to be reviewed three times over, and potentially deleted, to make sure that said files don't have any information that can be misinterpreted or that may distract Foundation personnel.

Description: Once upon a time, in a facility not so far away, a special book with special properties, anomalous properties, is stored, locked away from public view. Due to the book's special properties, it doesn't have a definite description. The only consistent part of the book is its shape. It is so special, in fact, that it has its own little box in such a big facility, free to write itself however it wants to.

When the special book is opened, the reader experiences déjà vu. Some of the readers feel completely bizarre, while many others, perfectly normal. These people, who feel normal, are friends to the book, who, in return, tries to give its friends the best bits of reality. This is because the book doesn't want its friends to suffer from sadness, a potential effect from reading it.

The special book is not like any other because it can foretell an event in the future, one that cannot be avoided, even if one were to try. It wants to be perfect, and will write itself over and over again. Sometimes, the book will become sad, and write in a sad tone. Sometimes, the book will become happy, and will want the reader to be happy too. It all depends on what the book wants to write about, and if the next reader is a friend of the book.

When a person who has read the special book, friend or not, is asked details about the book, the reader will respond by telling every detail in the form of a story. The reader will remember every detail that he or she has read. This is why the book wants to write joyful stories for its friends, to make sure that they can sleep at night with the knowledge they have gained.

If the special book is feeling mischievous, it will mess around with any of the documents that even reference the special book, changing it, or parts of it, to a story, much like the people who read the book.

The special book can foretell the future, but sees no end in sight. Sometimes it wonders about those who read it, their stories, and such. But, despite all the rough drafts the book makes, the book has plans, for, one day, it will finally read how the world will fall, and, if humanity shall be brought back, how it will rebuild.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered after a rumor that an old lady at ██████ ██ had the uncanny ability to read the future. When nearby Foundation personnel arrived at the location, they discovered that it wasn't the old lady that was looking into the future, but that it was a small book that was actually telling the future. On the ride to Site-19, the book grew in

Addendum XXXX-01:

Dr. ███ was the first person to open the book, which read the following:

Dr. ███ and Dr. ████ were hard-working individuals who did their best to turn in only the greatest and best-made documents. Everyone admired the focus they radiated. One day, however, they had to put a different kind of skill to the test, for they had met a beautiful woman, named Dr. ████, whose blue eyes shined deep into their souls, but it wasn't a bad kind of shine, for the woman was described by the two men as the perfect lady. That was the only thing they would agree on. Since they first met the lady, Dr. ███ and Dr. ████ began competing to see who would be the first to treat her to a good dinner, who would be the first to buy her gifts, and, overall, who would be the first person she would want to be with in a relationship. The childish competition would never end, as the two men would always find something to compete for, regarding Dr. ████, at least, until one of the men could no longer pay for the woman. One day, Dr. ███ ran out of money, to the point where he could barely support himself. While he was busy making himself financially stable, he would notice Dr. ████ and Dr. ████ sitting together everywhere they went. He would wonder why she would pick Dr. ████ over himself. Eventually, he became angry at Dr. ████ so angry, in fact, that he [REDACTED].

Personnel who read the book with Dr. ███ feared him, but when they tried to tell other people, they felt as though they couldn't speak. On top of that, they weren't able to make gestures, so the others weren't able to understand what they were trying to communicate to them. At one point, they became able to take the other personnel to the book, but when the book was opened, it read an unrelated story about a skydiver who managed to survive a fall when his parachute failed. Everyone was shocked, the other personnel, because they were amazed that the skydiver survived, and the personnel and Dr. ███ who first read the book, because they would never be able to tell others until Dr. ███ [REDACTED].

Addendum XXXX-02:

Dr. █████ read the book, this time, in what appeared to be a children's book. The book read:

There is a boy named Nick. He is friendly. One day, he was at the beach, and saw a girl crying. The boy asked, "What's wrong?" The girl said, "I lost my bucket," as she pointed to the water. There was a bucket in the water. Nick went into the water and picked up the bucket. When he gived the bucket to the girl, she thanked him. She was so thankful that she kissed him on the cheek.

This story sure was useless, but was it not wholesome? It almost remind me of my childhood, growing up on the beach.
