Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard chamber, and no personnel is allowed inside.
Anyone who comes in contact with SCP-XXXX is to be terminated immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard household kitchen knife, with some brown stains dispersed over the blade, and is around 30 centimetres in length.
It was recovered in 12/12/19██ by Agent ███████ during a raid in ███████, Russia, and is now being contained at Site-██.
If SCP-XXXX comes in physical contact with someone, it will cling to the subject's hand (Now designated as SCP-XXXX-1) and SCP-XXXX-1 will experience a murderous rage, attempting to stab and mutilate anyone it sees.
The only way to stop this is to either to neutralise SCP-XXXX-1, in which case SCP-XXXX will detach from SCP-XXXX-1's hand and SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to rapidly deteriorate.
Or, if SCP-XXXX-1 doesn't manage to attack anyone, subject will die of unknown causes in approximately 15-30 minutes, and SCP-XXXX will detach fromSCP-XXXX-1.
Subjects near a 4-meter radius of SCP-XXXX have reported to experience hateful thoughts and an extremely aggressive behaviour.
SCP-XXXX is not to come in contact with other sentient SCP's, since it may project this "Murderous Rage" on them, and may cause a containment breach with severe casualties.

Test-XXXX-A
Date: 06/01/20██
Subjects: SCP-XXXX, D-66724 (Male), D-94172 (Male)
Procedure: D-66724 and D-94172, accompanied by an armed guard, are lowered to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber.
D-6674 is ordered to retrieve SCP-XXXX.
Results: Just as D-6674 makes contact with the SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX latches on to his hand, and is now designated as SCP-XXXX-1
SCP-XXXX-1 immediately attacks D-9472, stabbing D-9472 directly in the heart, and after that, it proceeds to mutilate D-9472's hands. After this, SCP-XXXX-1 attempts to attack the guard, but the guard shoots SCP-XXXX-1 multiple times until SCP-XXXX detaches from the subject's body.
The guard is moved for debriefing and the test is concluded.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX-1 seems to lunge at the heart of its victim, dealing a terminal blow to its victim. After this, SCP-XXXX-1 will not move on to another target until it removes its victim's hands via mutilation.
Gathering samples from SCP-XXXX-1's tissue was unsuccessful, because when SCP-XXXX detached from its body, SCP-XXXX-1 deteriorated in a matter of seconds and turned to dust, leaving only SCP-XXXX on the floor.

Subject: SCP-XXXX, D-75821 (Male)
Procedure: At 17:00 D-75821 is lowered to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, the subject is alone. D-75821 is ordered to retrieve SCP-XXXX.
Results: At 17:01 SCP-XXXX becomes attached to D-75821, and subject D-75821 is now designated as an instance of SCP-XXXX-1.
Immediately after the attachment, SCP-XXXX-1 becomes increasingly hostile and starts to bang and scratch the walls of the chamber, repeatedly saying it wants to be "Let out" and that it will "Kill all of you bigots"

At this point, SCP-XXXX-1 starts screaming intensely, and seconds later it drops dead on the floor, with SCP-XXXX being detached from it.
Analysis
The subject died of unknown causes, and its cause of death is still being investigated.
SCP-XXXX-1, if not able to kill anyone, starts to speak in a very provocative manner, and it started taunting staff members to go down with him.
After seeing that this didn't work, SCP-XXXX-1 continued with its insults, until it died an unknown cause at 17:25.
Test-XXXX-C
Date: 09/30/20██
Subject: SCP-XXXX, D-77831 (Female)
Procedure: D-77831 is lowered to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber, and the subject is ordered to grab SCP-XXXX.
Results: Varying from the other test subjects, D-77831 (Now designated as SCP-XXXX-1) didn't go into the "Murderous Rage" that the other subjects have experienced. Instead SCP-XXXX smirked and started talking with a calm tone.

SCP-XXXX-1: "Finally, a vessel I can control, I was so sick of all those other useless vessels. Now I can even talk without getting oh so angry."
SCP-XXXX-1: "Hello? Anyone up there? I would like to leave this chamber, I promise I'll behave."
Dr. ██████: "SCP-XXXX-1, you are not allowed to leave under any circumstances."
SCP-XXXX: "Oh that is such a shame, I would love to take a tour of this wonderful facility, but, if you insist, I'll stay in here, oh so alone."
Dr. ██████: "You will now be questioned by Researcher ████████"
SCP-XXXX-1: "Oh, questions! How I love questions, please proceed Doctor"

SCP-XXXX-1: Is that my vessel's name? Well, I am afraid not Doctor, I've just transferred my conscience to this vessel, and the vessel's original conscience is gone.
Dr. ██████: Noted. Why are you calm now, while with you were extremely violent when possessing the other subjects?
SCP-XXXX-1: Those other vessels were just so immature and they lacked the ingenuity to be an effective vessel. And I am oh so sorry for the things I called you back then, my vessel wasn't so nice. And forgive me for causing some "casualties" as you say, that other vessel was also so immature and childish. But I promise you that this vessel is effective.
Dr. ██████: Ok, what makes a vessel "effective" and "immature"?
SCP-XXXX-1: By their temper. Vessels with a hard-to-control temper usually jump out into an explosive rage. While vessels that have an easily controllable temper, are calmer, and I can express myself easier.
Dr. ██████: What is your purpose?
SCP-XXXX-1: (laughs slowly) I'd tell you, but then you'll have to neutralise me, or lock me up forever, and that doesn't seem fun.
Dr. ██████: Why do you mutilate your victim’s hands?
SCP-XXXX-1: Oh, that’s just a thing I have. Some would call it a “fetish”, but it is a little more personal for me, it brings out some quite joyous memories.
Dr. ██████: Where are you from?
SCP-XXXX-1: The Great Soviet Union silly, remember? You recovered me from there.
Dr. ██████: I see, why do you have the form of a knife?
SCP-XXXX-1: Oh… (SCP-XXX-1 smirks)

Analysis: SCP-XXXX is now considered sentient, and is to be locked away in its chamber, all further testing has been halted for SCP-XXXX, and it is to be stored inside its box, it will remain this way until further notice.
