Item #: SCP-4892

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4892 is to be contained within a 8-inch by 8-inch by 8 inch container made for containing thermal energy. Several specimens are contained at site ██.

In unregulated conditions, SCP-4892 should be submerged in water in order to prevent large heat waves.

Description: SCP-4892 is a phenomenon which occurs within candles. Ordinarily, candles in which this phenomenon occurs are red, and smaller in size, but variations have occurred. SCP-4892 ordinarily appears to have a face on the upper side of the candle. Candles acquire this "face" at random time intervals. Other than the apparent "face", SCP-4892 only other anomalous property is that at seemingly random time intervals a wave of heat is seemingly emitted from the candle which does considerable damage to an area about an acre in size.

Addendum: SCP-4892 was first noted on ██ in ██.
