Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 1.2 kilowatt, high-speed electric water pump with a return aperture of 38 millimeters and a transfer aperture of 44.5 millimeters. SCP-XXXX’s casing is made of ABS plastic with branding indicating SCP-XXXX was produced and manufactured by [DATA REDACTED], being assembled on 07/12/20██ at a facility located in █████████, Oklahoma. Identical models of SCP-XXXX show no anomalous behavior. Comparing SCP-XXXX with its identical counterparts shows no deviation from manufacture. Disassembling SCP-XXXX and returning it to working form has no effects on its anomalous behavior. Approval to test replacing components of SCP-XXXX with its non-anomalous identical models is awaiting approval from a Level 5 supervisor.
When used to pump water, SCP-XXXX functions as a water pump, transferring water at 435 liters per minute. SCP-XXXX displays its anomalous behavior when the return aperture is placed against or into any material other than water. Placing the return aperture against or into another substance, other than a gas, will pull the substance into SCP-XXXX. The process of SCP-XXXX pulling material into itself takes 1.8 seconds, remaining the same time without regards to mass, density, or state of matter with a maximum of ████ m3 of the material. Within SCP-XXXX, the substance is compressed or suspended into a perfect sphere with a diameter of 44 millimeters, retaining the state of matter the substance originally possessed. After the compression or suspension, the material is designated an instance of SCP-XXXX-1, and is pushed through the transfer aperture of SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-1, when in a solid state of matter, will retain the properties of the substance before transformation. Compressing materials does not generate heat as traditional methods of compression exhibit, allowing any solid material to remain in its previous state of matter while also allowing theoretical infinite density as long as the material remains within the size limitations of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 will suspend material by unknown methods when the amount of material cannot occupy the volume of a 44 millimeter diameter sphere, filling the surface area of SCP-XXXX-1 before the remaining volume. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 which occupy less than 5% of the volume of a 44 mm diameter sphere appear to return to a non-anomalous state after passing through SCP-XXXX’s transfer aperture. SCP-XXXX-1, when in a liquid state of matter, will retain most properties of the substance before transformation. Exceptions include the substance gaining impenetrable viscosity and inability to transfer over surfaces. Similar to the solid state of SCP-XXXX-1, any liquid substance will fill the surface area of the sphere before filling the remaining volume. When a liquid state of SCP-XXXX-1 is handled, the liquid will react as if moving around inside a sphere. SCP-XXXX-1 will not allow any amount of force to penetrate an undetectable barrier of the boundaries for the sphere when any surface area is not filled.
