Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4718 is to be held in a standard humanoid containment chamber, as described in Document 4718-001-01. To avoid SCP-4718 having any knowledge of its containment, personnel will refer to SCP-4718 as "D-12". SCP-4718 is required to attend weekly meetings and have two trained assistants. The assistants are to receive regular physical exercise to prevent their physical stress and potential for bodily harm.
If SCP-4718 should appear to be in distress, the agent should request medical attention from at least two Level 4 personnel immediately. Full-face masks have been issued by the SCP Foundation and are to be contained onsite in one of their standard containment cells. They have been fitted with an automated, non-hazardous, self-regulating air purifier. All staff near the containment chamber have been issued with personal personal air purifiers. In the event of any air contamination of SCP-4718, the containment chamber will be immediately sealed and the affected staff transported to Site-19 for medical treatment.
Description: SCP-4718 is a humanoid approximately 3.1m in height and has no visible or detectable facial markings, It appears to have a series of symbols covering its body, with the symbols becoming darker the higher it is on the subject. When not actively in distress, SCP-4718 is an amiable creature, but when in distress will display a state of "hyperventilation" that increases in severity as the stress level increases.
While SCP-4718 does not have a respiratory system of its own, SCP-4718 is able to draw in oxygen through small gaps in its skin. SCP-4718's gas production is variable while calm, but has been found to be roughly the same in all instances of its distress. It is able to maintain a constant temperature of 22.8°C and has shown no discomfort from extreme heat or cold.
When in a distressed state, SCP-4718 will frequently take to using its gas to assist in self-rescue. When not in distress, SCP-4718 use its gas to cause erythema, pain, or distress in nearby subjects. SCP-4718 does not seem to be physically harmed by the gas and the gas does not appear to have any effect on inanimate objects.
