Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5649 must be kept in a 18 ft. high, circular container with a total diameter of 16 ft. surrounded and covered by 3 layers of thick, soundproof walls with the addition of an outer layer composed of a 1.3 m. thick steel alloy wall. The containment area must be secured by a noise monitoring system at all times accompanied by 4 armed guards on rotational 8 hr. shifts and must be decontaminated of all biological agents everyday. If the noise monitoring system detects any sound emitted by SCP-5649 outside of the containment area, all foundation personnel in contact with SCP-5649's emitted sounds or emissions within its proximity must maintain a minimum distance of at least 1000 m away from the entity and must proceed to any nearby specified soundproof bunker wards immediately within the first hour of announcement to avoid prolonged area exposure that may increase any possibility of the previous incident from ever occurring again. If any personnel is to be exposed to the said biological substance that SCP-5649 emitted, immediate decontamination and medical assistance is to be given at the infirmary to prevent further spread of the flesh eating substance . Guards assigned to monitor SCP-5649 must wear a set protective gear composed of a modified noise cancelling headset and military grade hazmat clothing to meet standard containment protocols.
Description:
SCP-5649 is an unusually large floating and still beating human heart around 11.5 ft. in height and exactly 12.4 ft. in width vein like tendrils approximately 14 ft. in length emanating from its sides and a small pipe organ lodged deep within it approximately 8 ft. in height and 10 ft. in width. Found in ████, Italy on the night of ████-██-██ when a local town went under foundation investigation after a small group of undercover foundation operatives stationed in the local town sent a faint SOS signal a few hours into the midnight of ████-██-██. When a search and rescue team was deployed in the area to track down the still active SOS tracking beacon issued to the undercover operatives, the team was met with piles and piles of rotting bodies laying motionless and scattered all over the town. Large portions of the surrounding area appeared to be coated in epidermal and cardiovascular tissue. Additional observation reports show signs of a previous firefight between the town's local law enforcement and some unknown entities leaving signs such as the huge amounts of bullet casings found throughout the surrounding area and mutilated bodies of what seems to be local law enforcement units left around the town's plaza along with scattered chunks of flesh and bones, overrun defensive blockades, destroyed barricades, and a site with what seems to be a failed evacuation event.
Questions were raised as to how and why such an event went unheard of, later discoveries presented the team with destroyed cell towers and the burning remains of the local power plant. After a few hours of exploration and investigation throughout the town, the team had finally located the the tracking beacons leading them straight to the town's only church where they found the 3 bodies of the undercover foundation operatives heavily mutilated and enveloped in fleshy growths emerging from beneath the bodies. The only thing left of them was their identification and the SOS beacon issued by the foundation.
After about a few minutes of trying to finalize the overall site report and confirming a major cleanup and body removal operation, the team reported hearing the sounds of a piano playing, after looking around the area, they located the source inside the nearby church. Upon entering the building to check who or what was playing the pipe organ, they instead found SCP-5649 glowing red and still pulsating. The team confirmed that the entity was indeed the source of the sound. After further examination of the site, the small search team called foundation and requested additional utilities and help for backup and retrieval of a possibly anomalous subject within the grounds of the church. A few hours in preparation of the cleanup and retrieval operation, the rescue team had gone completely silent and halted all communications with command. Upon arrival at the designated location, the retrieval team had discovered that all of the crew members from the rescue team sent to the town had already died of mysterious circumstances. External observations and assessments recorded that of severely bloodshot eyes and heavy bleeding from the nose on each of the crew member's bodies. After retrieval, the foundation kept SCP-5649 to a temporary containment area where it was to be examined for any anomalous properties before being transferred to the official containment area.
Upon closer investigation, researchers and other foundation personnel discovered a pipe organ that seems to be playing an unknown music piece, this was concluded to be the exact source of the noise the rescue team heard earlier, the pipe organ was wrapped in what seems to be living human tissue and muscles inside. Within about 2 hours of examination on SCP-5649's anomalous properties, all foundation personnel within a range of 60-75 m. experienced symptoms of drowsiness, confusion, serious headaches , slight nose bleeding, and blurry visions with varying intensities based from how far they were from SCP-5649. After a few minutes, said SCP was recorded to have emitted a huge shock wave instantly killing most foundation staff and incapacitating a few within the said range of effect causing seizures and serious hemorrhaging, majority of the affected personnel died within minutes after being subjected to the shock wave with only a small portion of foundation personnel surviving after being rescued by emergency staff members. Surviving individuals were taken to the foundation infirmary and had been put in monitoring for a week whilst the whole foundation section affected the catastrophic event had been sealed off due to the high risk of an overall breach every hour that passes by.
Remaining emergency responders in the area were ordered to leave their posts and take whatever valuable data records they may come across with them and to discontinue the retrieval of bodies within the breached area due to the hazardous effects the area causes towards individuals under the proximity of SCP-5649. In addition, the area was to be put under strict monitoring to find probable solutions on how extraction procedures were to be carried out for anomalous entity under proper foundation protocols to prevent more unwanted casualties and to be able to create a secure containment area fit to counter and prevent all of SCP-5649's dangerous effects. On site operatives and researchers did several prototypes for a new containment unit where said entity was to be kept in. Planning and execution of the extraction for specified anomalous entity lasted for a span of 1 month and 2 weeks. Operatives sent inside the sealed off zone were ordered to report and keep track of all the new information gathered and current expedition status at all times. Foundation recorded all transmissions between all the teams sent inside. The recordings presented below are the submitted information containing all status reports regarding the missions held and their outcomes.
HAZARDOUS EFFECTS CAUSED TOWARDS INDIVIDUALS
Regarding further observations recorded among the foundation staff recovered after the event, on site medical examiners noted of various biological effects undergone by the individuals who were heavily affected during the incident caused by SCP-5649. Such effects are noted below during the thorough examinations of both the cadavers and surviving staff members:
- Intraparenchymal hemorrhaging: Caused by SCP-5649's anomalous properties, this was the probable cause of the said drowsiness, headaches, blurry visions, and confusion among staff members within SCP-5649's range and proximity.
- Subconjunctival Hemorrhaging: Another effect by SCP-5649's anomalous properties, this was the confirmed cause of the severe bloodshot eyes and nose bleeding the affected staff and deceased rescue team had upon continuous exposure.
- Ruptured eardrums: Caused by the intense shock wave recorded during the incident.
- Collapsed lungs: Another thing caused by the intense shock wave recorded during said event.
- Severely bloodshot eyes: Caused by the subconjunctival hemorrhaging the individuals underwent after exposure to SCP-5649's anomalous properties.
- Torn blood vessels within the nose: Cause of the observed nose bleeding that individuals experienced during prolonged exposure to SCP-5649's hazardous properties. This was also the cause of the detected blood clotting around the blood vessels located within the nose of the affected individual.
- Inflamed nerves: No specific cause has been noted yet for this effect but it is currently theorized to be another one of the effects caused by SCP-5649's anomalous properties.
- Leg paralysis: This specific symptom was observed among the survivors of the previous incident, recovery was indeed possible among those who were affected but leg paralysis seems to be the one irreversible damage done to an individual's body once it has occurred.

=The foundation sent in a batch of reconnaissance personnel composed of 5 foundation tactical response units provided with military grade gas masks and issued with the standard M4A1 assault rifles loaded with 5.56x45mm NATO rounds and a maximum of 4 mags per individual. The team was also accompanied by 3 D-Class personnel and 3 other foundation researchers using standard kevlar armor, standard civilian grade gas masks, and a small medical equipment pack. A standard noise cancelling equipment will be provided for each individual member of the expedition to counter SCP-5649's mind affecting anomalous properties.

:Status report, we're currently deep inside the sealed off area approaching the original containment site for SCP-5649, so far most of us had been feeling a bit weird within the past hour with one of the D-Class personnel observed to be suffering from rapid and involuntary eye movements and another guard having a strong headache, confused as to what's currently going on, I on the other hand started experiencing a slight nose bleed. With regards to other problems, these noise cancelling equipment you people provided seem to be doing no help at all because weirdly enough, we can still hear the sound being emitted by SCP-5649. Other than that, a few small observations we made show that 25 m. into the area, the pipe organ music started becoming louder and more audible, signifying that we are now within SCP-5649's proximity. Even though we are now surely exposed to SCP-5649's sound emissions, we will still proceed with the task.

:We are currently stuck in one of the security rooms with the doors refusing to budge open possibly due to a system malfunction. 2 of the guards tried to budge the door open to no avail. We'll be here for some time but we'll be sure to keep contact with command. We're currently facing a bit of a situation here and we'd like to request immediate technical assistance, maybe you people can send in some technicians to help us out of here because we've been trying to get the doors open for almost half an hour already and let me tell you, things aren't going great so far, the D-Class personnel I mentioned earlier had a seizure and not too long after, he had some sort of hemorrhaging, probably the result of SCP-5649's mind affecting properties. For now, we placed his body near the file cabinets and salvaged any valuable equipment he had with him, oh and before I forget…we also found the rotting corpse of 2 foundation guards still sitting in their posts. That's all the things we observed as for now. And please do note that we'd really appreciate it if help would be able to as soon as possible because my vision is starting to blur out and I'm already feeling a bit nauseated, I just hope we get out of here alive.

:Hey command, it's already █ o'clock in the morning and we just got out of the security room consuming about an hour and a half of our expedition time, you f*ckers didn't even answer our calls and to make matters worse, one of the guards who was suffering from a headache earlier collapsed within minutes after we got out of the security room, I'm afraid he's going to join the D-Class guy who died an hour ago any minute now. And did I mention, ever since we reached SCP-5649's proximity, we've been hearing that pipe organ music non-stop, and its really….really…irritating to hear that sh*tty sound on repeat for almost and hour and a half. Additional observations I took note of show that most of the team is already experiencing drowsiness, worsening bloodshot eyes, severe nose bleeding, and painful headaches and another one of the researchers developed a high fever, these ailments mentioned were the recorded effects of SCP-5649 towards individuals with prolonged exposure within its proximity. With those things mentioned, I'm guessing that we still need to proceed to SCP-5649's chamber to retrieve any new information regarding the anomalous entity that was "unfortunately" recorded within the area minutes before the incident.

:As expected, the guard didn't make it. He died of similar causes to that of the D-Class guy, to make the matters even worse than before, the things we've been suffering from only got worse. We had to carry one of the researchers because he already can't feel his legs due to circumstances regarding SCP-5649's hazardous effects. Cooperation between the members of the team is slowly fading away due to the worsening effects the entity has been causing towards us. On the bright side, we're nearly there since the stupid church music I've been hearing ever since we got in its proximity has been getting louder and louder, passing through the noise cancelling equipment and at the same time getting more and more irritating than before.

:Status report, we finally got inside of the observation room found the bodies of a few foundation researchers who died just 4 days ago and boy are things looking gross, the stench of the rotting bodies were too much for our civilian grade masks to handle and boy did I nearly puke in my mask. We managed to retrieve a few journal logs made during the time they examined SCP-5649 and at the exact time we felt a slight relief as the sound emanating from SCP-5649 stopped and along with it, the worsening effects we were experiencing.

:Quick status report, the power went out, we did some small troubleshooting in one of the emergency maintenance systems to find out as to why this happened, the program detected a small problem within the area. The electrical transformer in one of the maintenance rooms has been overloaded with electricity due to lack of staff monitoring and triggered the breaker. In its current state, it may explode if it gets flooded with too much more power for a little bit longer so we were instructed to cut the power being supplied to the transformer. The good thing is that the systems already took measures so that we don't get trapped in the area, all the doors except for the main exit gates were switched to emergency mode and will therefore be left open, I wondered if this was safe because we're pretty much still in an area that have various SCP's contained which happened to include SCP-5649. Well luckily for us most of the entities in the area were all under the "Safe" category and need less things to worry about. We've already retrieved a bunch of information and hopefully the next expedition would be focusing on how to transfer SCP-5649 to its new container.

The Doctor and all the other personnel who managed to return were examined back in the infirmary where medical staff ran tests and found traces of spore like substances within their ears which may be directly linked to SCP-5649's anomalous and hazardous properties, possibly causing previously identified maladies. Fortunately for them, the spore's effects were at a minimal levels. They were treated afterwards before any possible complications can occur. This finding led the foundation to equip other personnel assigned for future expeditions with military grade hazmat suits to combat possible spore contamination.

:Foundation sent in the second batch of operatives composing of 6 tactical response units into the closed off foundation area. They are to be provided grade B hazmat suits and issued with a custom Benelli M4 semi-automatic shotgun using #00 Buckshot rounds with a maximum of 30 shells per individual. The team will also be accompanied by 3 foundation technicians equipped with the same grade B hazmat suits. They will be carrying with them specialized utilities and a standard foundation issued Glock 17 loaded with 9mm parabellum rounds with a maximum of 2 mags per person and 2 standard issue medkits. The last and final member to join the team was Dr. ████████ herself issued with the same military grade hazmat suit and given the standard foundation issued Glock 17 pistol using the same 9mm parabellum rounds and 2 extra mags. The team was also provided a slightly modified noise cancelling equipment.

:Status report, we started the expedition just a few minutes ago and are now en route to accomplish the task of opening the eastern gate exit that is to be utilized for SCP-5649's transportation to its new containment area, foundation issued a new memo ordering all foundation personnel further within the eastern wing to move to their temporary station posts for the meantime. To prevent any incidents from ever occurring during the time in which the transport of SCP-5649 will take place, the foundation tightened all security measures all over the facility. Estimated time of arrival to the designated eastern gate is around ████ hours. Should we encounter any anomalies along the way, we'll take extensive measures to recapture it if possible to ease the cleanup after the extraction of the main entity.

:Command, this is Dr. ████████ coming in to report that we've already started hearing the music emitted by SCP-5649 after almost half an hour traversing through the sealed off area, current event signified that the provided noise cancelling equipment is still unable to cancel out emitted noises by SCP-5649. So far, the team encountered some slight complications along the way during the expedition within the area due to various encounters with loose anomalous entities around the site, when we got in a bit further through the area, most of the security doors stated in the previous expedition log to be opened during the last mission were now sealed shut, Hey command, any ideas as to how and why this happened?….No??..Just to add some small info, all the security doors we've encountered along the way are currently in emergency mode and could not be changed unless permitted by some level 4 or higher, security personnel. We were just forced to budge the doors open using the utilities provided to the team.

This worries me a bit as anything is possible within these foundation walls.

:Some of us had started feeling the very same symptoms recorded within the first expedition when Dr. █████████ and his crew were exposed to SCP-5649's proximity after the noise cancelling equipment failed to filter out the sounds emitted by the entity. Hopefully things don't end up bad for these people. Going back to the current task of budging security doors open, we've already been through 12 security doors and were still not anywhere near the eastern gate. I don't want this expedition to take too long since we already know what happens if we get exposed for too long. We might experience worse things of we stay here longer than what Dr. █████████ and his crew underwent during the first expedition.

One of the guards is in a state of panic and the other guards have been trying to calm him down ever since the last 30 minutes. On the bright side, were already midway to reaching the eastern gate. When i get back to the desk after this, i'm going to take a long nap and maybe drink some cold lemonade. This whole thing is making me thirsty and unfortunately for me, i didn't bring any can of coke or pepsi with me and the guards don't even have any water with them.

:Things aren't going pretty well, something or some "things" are with us in here aside from SCP-5649. 2 of the guards just got snatched through one of the ventilation ducts while we were en route to one of the inner security posts, it all happened so quick they didn't even get to fire their guns. The others weren't able to save them, god, i don't know what the hell took them both because i just want to get the f*ck outta here! Command, were going back, f*ck it! I already ordered my crew that we were going out of that place as soon as possible with or without that gate open, I don't want to lose any more crew members to whatever was in those vents!

:Are you f*cking kidding me?! All the godd*mn doors we opened, closed back?! Is this some sort of sick f*cking joke from command, most of us are already panicking because we've been hearing growls from all f*cking sides and, I don't know what the hell that was but we saw a bunch of red glowing eyes in one of the dimly lit corridors that turned out to be from the former foundation staff that died here last week….They aren't humans anymore, they're acting more like rabid animals, they chased us down to one of the areas we came from, bullets didn't do much help either, we wasted almost half of all our mags onto those things but it just slowed them down a bit. We need to find another way out. One of the technicians almost got caught had he not manage to close one of those security doors just in time. Command do you copy? Requesting all vents leading outside the closed off area to be close to prevent one of those things escaping out. We'd also like to request some backup to come fetch us up, we're trapped in here and low and just to add a bit, we…also threw the headsets away, they were nothing but useless load, didn't even worked for crying out loud. F*cks sake, should've read that agreement paper after all before i got into this job.

:More of the things came out of nowhere, most of them are former foundation staff and security members, we even saw the D-Class guy and one of the security guards that died here last week. They chased us down to the western containment wing and killed one of the guards in the process, fortunately for us we found a security room with an armory inside, we took any supplies we can use and barricaded ourselves in waiting for backup to come….. I also have a bad feeling that the… steel door and the handful of filing cabinets we used as barricade standing between us and whatever those things are, aren't gonna be lasting for long, or maybe we.. won't be lasting for so long, if backup doesn't arrive here in about a few hours, we'll probably face the same fate the D-Class guy and the other guard faced last week, I also found out that they died from intraparenchymal hemorrhaging that came with the seizure caused due to prolonged exposure within the entity's proximity. All of us are already having the same symptoms highlighted during the briefing about SCP-5649 and its effects. I just hope I get to see my cat one last time.

:One of the creatures broke through the ventilation ducts in the armory room and killed one of our technicians, we managed to seal the entry off but I personally don't think it would do anything to change our current situation. I'm already feeling too drowsy and all that's keeping us awake is the constant banging on the security doo…the secu…the security door.. separating those creatures outside…I..I..i can't really… Command.. you guys…haven't.. responded to.. any of.. our…our calls… yet.. The last words we got….was..was…stay put…and hold.. on.. Things aren't going good anymore…symptoms… worsening…everyone's already suffering from high fevers, 2 of the technicians are already…unconscious.. The guards are…..all nauseous and drowsy…

That was the last log we recorded by the 2nd batch of foundation operatives sent into the area before the rescue team dispatched an hour after the last recording, found them all dead in security room #405 in the western wing with one of the guards seemingly having committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a pistol. The backup team did encounter one of the things aforementioned in the earlier logs made by Dr. ████████ managing to wound it before it escaped deeper into the sealed off zone. On site management does not know how many of these things lurk within the closed zone when asked to pass a report on the current condition of the affected area but did notify the higher-ups that they were able to retrieve at least 49 bodies and 13 foundation personnel in critical condition after the accident. Further observations made by the foundation towards the record logs retrieved from previous expeditions concluded that the previous equipment provided to the earlier teams were rendered ineffective. Fully modified noise cancelling headsets are now to be provided to all assigned teams before expedition as soon as completion of the project is announced. Foundation has also named the creatures that were previous victims of the SCP, SCP-5649-B. The foundation will now issue and additional gear composed of noise cancelling headsets with a built in communications and 2 motion tracking sensor equipment for utilization.

=Foundation sent in the third batch of operatives into the sealed off foundation area composed of 10 MTF operatives issued with military grade hazmat suits and other valuable equipment with additional utilities such as motion tracking sensors. The squadron will also be armed with foundation issued custom Steyr AUG assault rifles with military grade red dot sights and a detachable flashlight using 5.56x45mm rounds with the maximum of 5 mags per individual. The team will also be accompanied by 4 foundation technicians wearing military grade hazmat suits, fully modified noise cancelling headsets powered by custom batteries able to last for as long as 24 hours, and military grade kevlar armor carrying the standard foundation issued utilities and a standard foundation issued custom MP9 submachine gun with attached reflex sights and a detachable flashlight using 9mm parabellum rounds with a maximum of 3 mags per person and 4 standard issue medkits. The last and final member to join the team was Dr. ████████ himself wearing military grade hazmat suit along with a kevlar vest and an additional customized noise cancelling headsets. He was given the standard foundation issued MP5 submachine gun using the same 9mm parabellum rounds the technicians were using. He was also provided with 2 extra mags.

:We've already started the expedition within the area, foundation gave some strict reminders that should we fail to reach the designated gate, more lives would be lost. Additional orders were given to shoot and kill anything that moves inside the area. The technicians accompanying us were also given briefing a week prior to the expedition, undergoing some extensive training that was aimed to improve their skills and knowledge about different ways to rewire and open jammed or locked security doors if the given utility fails to do the job. MTF operatives selected for the expedition were also informed of the previous missions and were told to be extremely cautious of the surrounding area while traversing through the zone. The council also went into a discussion whether to destroy SCP-5649 due to the increasing threat it poses to everyone around it. The proposal to terminate SCP-5649 was was brought to the table but was later rejected due to the majority opting to extract and further study the subject.

:30 minutes into the expedition, we've encountered some rotting chunks of flesh lying around the ground with maggots writhing all over it. Additional observations also show that large portions of the surrounding area appeared to be coated in epidermal and cardiovascular tissue inside the sealed off area, some of which seem to be.. pulsing, when we decided to take a closer inspection, it started glowing red to which we abruptly backed away in fear of attracting unwanted things coming our way. The further we go in, the larger the amounts of both epidermal cardiovascular tissue growths within the walls and floors we encountered. GPS map indicates that were still a few meters away from the eastern gate, estimated time of arrival, around 45 minutes to a full hour should we encounter more threats or technical hindrances….Things keep getting eerier around these parts.

:We are now entering the eastern gate area preparing to open the route for SCP-5649's extraction…….. We seem to have encountered a minor problem regarding the gate itself, the technicians are saying that the, huge epidermal tissue growth coating the gate had been keeping it jammed and would require some small demolition work to free the gate itself. :We decided to use some explosives anyways to remove the growth but soon as the growth had been removed from the area, the red liquid that seems to be flowing through the cardiovascular tissue growths started leaking and spurting out covering some of the crew in a very sticky substance. We also encountered some more problems as the sticky substance started glowing red and was observed to have extreme corrosive properties as the liquid dissolved the thick hazmat suit we were wearing in a matter of seconds, once the substance came into contact with human flesh, it started irritating the skin causing rapid rash growth around the exposed area before dissolving it entirely, causing a very painful burning sensation as it melts the flesh off. The unexpected incident wounded some of the crew. This was only the beginning of our problem as the motion tracking equipment we brought with us, showed signs of multiple signals zeroing in on our area fast, the technicians managed to seal off the doors connecting the hallways leading to our position but after some time, some "thing" started banging on the door so hard that it started to dent inwards, the banging stopped after a few minutes, but the signals registered on the motion tracking equipment shows us that whatever those things are, they're still waiting just beyond those doors. We continued on with the objective anyways after the encounter.

:We managed to tear off a huge part of the growth jamming the gates but to our surprise, as soon as it fell off, the remaining tissue started rapidly regenerating, quickly growing back the lost chunks of growth, we really don't know what to do now since were running out of ideas and we don't want to use bullets against it would obviously be ineffective against it. For a few minutes we searched around the area to find any valuable equipment left by the previous guards stationed there. Luckily for us we found a hidden stash in one of the loose metal sheeting on the wall presumably from a guard hiding contraband since D-Class personnel were never allowed to even walk around these areas. The stash contained 2 fragmentation grenades that were issued by the foundation to the guards themselves, some booze, and…a playboy magazine?!, makes me wonder why those guards were hoarding these items here. Anyways, we started discussing how to utilize the recovered items, one of the MTF operatives suggested that we place it deep within the pulsating chunk of flesh before pulling the pin and possibly turning the growth coating it to smithereens.

:Well sh*t… One of the MTF guys got his arm blown off, he wasn't get away in time and the grenades went off a bit too early than expected…… Why are you all still standing there?! Help him will you!..Jesus….Well…f*ck…..aside from that small incident, we did manage to remove most of the flesh growth jamming the gates, we quickly hacked away the small remaining parts to halt the regeneration process and prevent the tissue growths from growing back. :We managed to successfully stop the bleeding and patched the wounded guy up, we gave him some painkillers for the mean time. Update on the current objective, we're nearly done with overriding the gate system, the banging on the security doors started again, this time stronger than before, the motion tracking equipment detected more of those things and they're piling up fast, one of the doors won't be holding for long, the longer we stay here the less chance of survival we'll have….The accompanying MTF operatives are already taking up some defensive positions and Iv'e already told the technicians to arm themselves up, just in case one of the doors get busted open…..Command, we'd like to request for heavy reinforcements down the eastern exit to provide support once we start moving for the exit.

:MTF unit# 9, Bravo team reporting in for updates on current task, we have successfully cleared the first nesting ground but have suffered heavy casualties over the period of combat that occurred, the entities were very resistant towards damage, some of them were able to survive after taking a direct hit in the head from a shotgun, bullets seem to do little damage towards them and the reason for this was later explained when we examined one of the dead entities, their flesh and muscles underwent a yet to be explained process where their flesh and muscles have extremely hardened becoming very resistant to most gunfire, the electric shockers attached to the shields proved to be ineffective towards handling crowds of the entities as they had no reaction to getting shocked with almost 3000 mA of electricity, such thing only caused them severe burns and did not even impede their overall mobility. The overwhelming numbers of SCP-5649-Bs proved to be too much for our team to handle. I would advise that arming ourselves with LMGs might be a bit more effective towards dealing with the hordes of these entities. Overall we lost 8 men, most of them got mauled to death by hordes of the entities whilst a small number of them were pulled away by some who were retreating, god knows what happened to them but we just assumed that they already died. We're now proceeding back to the exit to patch ourselves up and prepare for the next assault to be carried out within the following days after further planning and recalculations.

UPDATES: While on their way to exit the sealed zone, the remaining members of MTF Unit# 9 were unfortunately attacked by a smaller horde of SCP-5649-B instances roaming near the office areas, the combat lasted for a few minutes during which Capt. ██████████ was unfortunately killed after being overpowered by one of the entities. Most of the surviving members from the previous assignment were also killed in the battle that ensued after the first encounter. The said batch of SCP-5649-Bs were eventually eliminated with the last remaining members of the team successfully exiting the area with no further casualties. Command has now placed the Remaining 2 members from MTF Unit# 9 Bravo company to MTF Unit#6 Zulu company for their next assignment.

After the success of the fourth expedition, a new task was given for the following expedition in the zone regarding the clean up operation, they were to bring back the body of a dead SCP-5649-B for further examination and research. Information gathered may be of great use to following expeditions. The foundation has also been closing in on its goal after a whole month spent working on extracting SCP-5649. Additional information also specified that there are at least 2 more sc0-5649-B nesting grounds remaining within the sealed off area. Once the primary task of extracting the SCP is complete along with eliminating the remaining nesting grounds, the foundation may finally conduct renovations, repairs, and small cleanup operations(if necessary) within the sealed off area to make the facilities usable by the foundation and its staff once again.

4 hours since the 2 squadrons left the safe zone for the assignment, they quickly tried to head back to the safe zone after taking heavy casualties, when the squadrons finally reached the safe zone, only 5
out of the 13 operatives made it back alive, Col. ███████ himself was killed in the ordeal after getting caught by what the remnants of the squadrons described as an "Unholy Abomination" entity formed out of the mutilated cadres that were scattered around the area of combat. The survivors from the 2 squadrons informed command that after they killed the last SCP-5649-B, a moderate shock wave shook the whole place afterwards causing the appearance of a small red glowing orb that was covered in what seemed to be living muscles and tissue that pulled all of the torn off body parts and corpses of dead SCP-5642-B entities towards it and forming an entity that resembled a mutated flesh entity estimated at about 8 ft. in height with 4 arms and glowing red eyes all over it, the entity was reported to have almost inhuman strength, being able to lift operators with not much effort and afterwards crushing them to a pulp with pure brute force. After such incident, security stationed at the zone entrance and eastern gate exit were strengthened and doubled in numbers, the foundation also ordered a second installment for a thick titanium alloy vault door over at the entrance to the zone and eastern gate exit once the extraction for SCP-5649 is completed.

=Foxtrot company had already headed to the center to secure SCP-5649's current containment area, before doing so, we gave them half of the C4 charges we had when we got in, as for my team and I, our ETA in the area is in 2 minutes, the men have prepared themselves as we're about the breach the class-D containment area where all of them were confirmed to have died after hours of being exposed to the emission SCP-5649 created a few weeks back. Command told us that there were around 50 class-D personnel locked up in the area but due to some electrical problem in the past few weeks that had occurred, the cell doors were opened unintentionally, possibly releasing the turned class-D guys, adding in to the fact that there were also multiple guards who died on the spot at the area during the shock wave emission. Anyhow, we are armed and ready to deal with such threats.

=This is Lt. ████████, we have successfully cleared out the remaining SCP-5649-B nest suffering mild casualties composing of 3 mercenary members and 2 MTF operatives. We have encountered no signs of SCP-5649-B-2. We will now proceed to regroup with Foxtrot company. Our observations within the area presented us with some findings, such as the vein like growths have seemed to worsen over time period as some of it had fully enveloped cells with nothing but pulsating veins filled with some red glowing substance, we also took note of the SCP-5649-Bs that we came across as some of them had completely deteriorated to headless beings with nothing but gooey tendrils taking the place of their heads, additionally their skin has now turned into a wet sand like substance, even though they might be easier to dispatch than previous encounters, we have noticed a huge difference in their movements and strength as they are now faster and stronger than before with some able to crawl onto the ceilings. Their hands have seemingly turned into long root like fleshy veins that they use to grab and pull people towards them, anyhow additional info gathered will be provided to the foundation back at the safe zone once overall tasks are complete.

=We have successfully regrouped with the remnants Foxtrot company, survivors told us that they've suffered heavy casualties due to coming into contact with SCP-5649-B-2, they've successfully killed the said abomination using the C4 charges but not before losing half the team as they were taken by surprise on their way to SCP-5649's current chamber, they told us that SCP-5649-B-2 came out of nowhere and started attacking everyone as they were making their way towards the center, one guy managed to lure the entity to one of the rooms and told them to throw in the C4 charges, while this was very much a hard decision to make, the man, identified as Cpl. ██████ sacrificed himself by activating the C4 charges while he and the entity were still in the room. Overall Foxtrot company suffered 7 casualties composed of 5 MTF operatives and 3 mercenaries. After providing medical assistance to those who got injured, we are now preparing to head to the eastern gate to make our exit.

The foundation is now planning to go through with SCP-5649's extraction to its new containment chamber.
