Item #: SCP-4252
Object Class: Euclid Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4252 is to be kept in a 1x1.5 meter2 tank of quartz glass filled with liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen is to be automatically filled via its connection to a 5x10 meter2 tank filled with liquid nitrogen. Every 21 days, attendants must completely refill the larger tank of liquid nitrogen in order to maintain the smaller tank at temperatures sub -186 °C. SCP-4252 must always remain in a liquid state. This tank is to be kept in an air tight room with limestone walls. Under no circumstances should any cellular devices be used within 50 meters of SCP-4252.
Description: SCP-4252 is a conscious being whose physical form exists of an interchangeable amount of Argon from the bisosphere. SCP-4252 can move its consciousness into any nearby atoms of Argon. In it's gaseous state, argon is colorless, odorless, nontoxic and intangible. SCP-4252 does make sound at a frequency of 31-37 kHz. This is approximately 11-17 kHz above a humans basic capacity of hearing. Therefore SCP-4252 is unobservable by the 5 senses attributed to humans. Animals with greater capacities of hearing (such as dogs or bats) have been shown to react sparatically when exposed to the ultrasonic frequencies produced by SCP-4252.
Problems involving the safety of researchers have arose. Cellular devices react abnormally when in proximity with SCP-4252. When used within 50 meters of SCP-4252 the devices start to overheat, and spontaneously explode after 30 seconds. These devices make the frequences sent out by SCP-4252 more spasmodic in comparison to its normal tranquil and docile behavior. To accomodate for this need, SCP-4252 is kept at Research Area ██ in ██████ Greenland, over a kilometer away from civilization.
Researchers hypothesize that communication with SCP-4252 will allow them to better understand the properties of consciousness with respect to anatomy. This hypothesis makes communication a priority of researchers. Radios and [REDACTED] have been used in attempts to interact with SCP-4252. Initial attempts to communicate have resulted in failure. On December 26th, 20██ scientists began the process of associating wave lengths with objects to test if communication with SCP-4252 is possible. Although this test has great potential, as of the publication of this document the results of these tests remain inconclusive.
