Item: Wandering Amnesiac SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: It is to be contained within a 5x5x5 metre cube with minimal amenities. It is allowed a few luxury items such as pencils, paper and erasers so that it may continue to write. If it does escape its containment and it confronts you, try to keep it occupied. Once security arrives they will escort it back to its containment and you will be screened for possible injections. If signs of injection are shown, you will be quarantined for 24 hours with enough food and water to keep you alive. If multiple instances of injection occur, after the 24 hours of quarantine you will be required to attend addiction therapy sessions at least bi-weekly.
Description: A jellyfish like organism, the main body has a diameter of 1 metre and the tentacles are 3 metres long. These tentacles are used as graspers. Every tentacle has retractable stingers near their end that injects a venom. The venom in question has unknown properties.
Every time it decides to sleep, it writes down everything that occurred while it was awake. It is theorised that at some point in the past it lost the ability to create long-term memory, as well as destroying some of its memories.
Some of these destroyed memories have been restored through the use of anomalous objects. Through the writings of the scip, we have discovered that there are at least ██ objects relating to its memories. As of writing this document, we have recovered █ of these objects.
Experiment Log:
Experiment █:
A D-class was instructed to stand within the containment for the scip. The object did not acknowledge them, instead focusing entirely on writing down its memories before it went to sleep. The D-class was removed after 30 minutes.
Experiment █:
A D-class was instructed to stand within the containment for the scip. As soon as the D-class entered, the object went over to inspect. It appeared to look the D-class over for at most 2 minutes before it injected them with its venom. The D-class was immediately removed and checked for any anomalous effects. The Venom had made them hallucinate, the D-class went on to spout out that they were King Henry and that they would have us beheaded for our treatment of him. The venom's affects wore off after 24 hours.
Experiment ██:
A group of C-class personnel were instructed to harvest some of the venom from the scip. When they entered, the object tried to hide what it had been writing down and then tried to stay as far away from the C-class as possible. Eventually, the C-class were able to have it reveal one of its stingers and extract some venom from it. The venom proceeded to multiply itself from within the container until it was filled to the top. When venom was removed from the container more of it replicated. For further experiments involving this container, please refer to SCP-XXXX-A.
Experiment ██:
C-class personnel were instructed to harvest more venom from the scip. The object was far more trusting this time around, though it seemed overly friendly. When the venom hit the bottom of the container, it was set alight and burned the container to ash. The object appeared to be distressed by this and immediately clung to one of the walls, it then proceeded to phase through it. Security was called and they managed to get it back into its containment with minimal damage to the facility and personnel. More security has been called in to help secure the scip.
Experiment ██:
C-class personnel were instructed to harvest more venom from the scip. The object didn't seem to pay any mind to the personnel. It went to sleep soon after entering. The C-class managed to coax one of the tentacles to show one of its stingers. When the venom hit the bottom of the container, it turned into a foam like substance. Once the foam subsided, a small orb was left at the bottom of the container. This orb has not shown anomalous affects so far, although the material is currently unidentified.
Event α:
The scip escaped its confinement by phasing through one of its walls outside of an experiment. It roamed the facility for 1 hour before being caught. It had confronted professor Powell when he was locking up memory object 1. professor Powell was unharmed and without any form of injection. The scip appeared to regain some memories, more specifically the understanding of a currently untranslated language. The written language resembles the rune that was inscribed on the object.
There have currently been no more events involving the scip.
Addendum: Any anomalous object created as a direct result of the scip will have a containment procedure named SCP-XXXX-Letter while any anomalous object relating to the memory of the scip will be named SCP-XXXX-Number.
If the scip is proving more aggressive than normal, use of the memory related objects as leverage is permitted. If all of the memory objects are recovered, the scip must mot discover their presence within the facility.
Item: Replicating Venom SCP-XXXX-A
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The object is to be put in one of the lockers at site ██. The lid of the scip is not to be removed unless the contents are required for an experiment. When handling the object, make absolutely sure that none of the contents spill out.
Description: A small see-through container originally used to extract venom for the creation of anti-venom. It now contains a self-replicating venom. The venom does not ever exceed the limits of the container and it will refill the container within moments. The venom contained within is a shade of purple and is mostly opaque. The full range of effects the venom has are currently unknown. The venom originates from the scip detailed in SCP-XXXX.
Experiment Log:
Experiment █:
Lab mice were injected with the venom from the scip. One of them fell into a coma for 24 hours, one of them started to act as if they were drunk, one gained immense strength and one had increased puzzle-solving capabilities. After a 24 hour period was over, the mice stopped exhibiting the effects of the venom and the next excretion of the mice was the same colour as the venom.
Experiment █:
Lab mice were injected with venom and then after a 12 hour period were injected again. The effect of the venom did not increase, it just lasted for 12 more hours. However, after the 36 hour period the mice seemed to associate the C-class with the administration of the venom. Those that had negative effects recoiled from their hands while those that had positive effects came to the hand of the scientists willingly.
Experiment ██:
The same lab mice were injected with venom again. The mice appear to have become dependant on the venom, even the ones with negative effects seemed to want the venom. The withdrawal symptoms seem to include inability to sleep, itchiness around the point of injection and more aggressive behaviours towards fellow mice. Human tests are currently under process of review.
Experiment ██:
D-class were injected with the venom. We got more clear detail on what exactly the venom did to their subjects. Some of the D-class gained increased intelligence and could hold their own in scientific debate, with as much as their own knowledge allowed, some gained strength that allowed them to pick up 5 times their own body weight with relative ease, others started hallucinating while stumbling around and others exhibited a far more negative reaction to the venom, possibly allergic. Many of the latter D-class died.
Experiment ██:
D-class were repeatedly injected with venom to see what the withdrawal effects were. The full withdrawal symptoms are an inability to sleep, more ease to become irritated, rashes developing around the points of injection, less comprehension of simple tasks and auditory hallucinations.
Experiment ██:
Rehabilitation has been set up for the D-class affected by the venom, effectiveness of practises of rehab is being tested. Results are mixed, those who had negative effects were easier to coax out of their dependency on the venom while those with positive effects found it much harder to heal.
Experiment ██:
The venom within the scip was moved to a different container. The original container produced venom until it was full, the second container produced venom until it was full. Upon writing down the effects of the venom, the second container was spilt and nothing of special note occurred. The C-class conducting the experiment took one drop from the original container and dropped it onto the floor. That room is still flooded with the venom and will stay this way until we can figure out how to empty the room without creating further problems.
Addendum: If you spill the contents of the scip, leave the room and call the site janitorial staff. They will be there to clean up the ever increasing mess of the venom. If you see the venom start to rise, close off the room and contact someone with level 3 access, they will be able to activate the incineration of the contents of the room. If you are inside a room with rising venom, do not panic. The venom cannot harm you unless you ingest it or it is injected into you. You may be able to leave the room before the venom reaches the door. If it has reached the door, immediately call in the janitorial staff and have them prepare for the venom spilling out of the room.
Item: Glowing Rune SCP-XXXX-1
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: The object is to be kept secure inside of a locked safe within site ██. The object is only to be removed if someone has been injected with venom by the scip described in SCP-XXXX.
Description: A small stone with a glowing rune on it. The rune itself is from a currently untranslated language. The rune glows with a purple colour. The glow of the rune reverts the effects of the venom produced by the scip described in SCP-XXXX and can help those who are rehabilitating from multiple injections. This object is linked to the memories of the scip described in SCP-XXXX. It caused the scip to regain the knowledge of the untranslated language on it.
Addendum: Without contact with this object, the scip described in SCP-XXXX will begin to lose the knowledge of the language, the runes become less like their originals until the scip ends up writing old Norse.
