Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be surrounded by an electrified fence, preventing unauthorized personnel from entering inside of SCP-XXXX. Any personnel attempting to enter SCP-XXXX is to be detained and administered Class-B amnestics before release. SCP-XXXX-B is not to be entered or interacted with for any reason, except with a written clearance from at least two (2) Level 4 personnel for testing purposes.
Description: SCP-XXXX is any house which contains a room with anomalous effects similar to SCP-XXXX-B. The only known instance as of 1/██/19 is SCP-XXXX-1, a colonial style house built in 2001 by the [REDACTED] building company, and was previously owned by the W█████ family before discovery by the Foundation. SCP-XXXX-1 is located in ████████, Massachusetts.
SCP-XXXX-B is a room inside of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-B always appears to be a bedroom, furnished with a rocking chair and stool. No other information can be gathered about SCP-XXXX-B due to its anomalous properties.
SCP-XXXX-B exhibits a cognitohazardous effect on living beings and cameras. Living beings who enter into SCP-XXXX-B and leave are unable to recall what they have seen inside of SCP-XXXX-B. Additionally, all photography and videography taken inside of SCP-XXXX-B fail in varying manners. The entrance to SCP-XXXX-B appears to block all forms of radiation except light between the ranges of 670-620nm, giving the room a very red tint from the outside.
Addendum XXXX-A1: Discovery.
Foundation web trackers were alerted to a post on reddit to r/████████████ about how the poster felt unnerved that scratching and breathing sounds were reportedly coming from SCP-XXXX-B, formerly known as the guest room of SCP-XXXX-1. Though most comments dismissed this post as fake, two suspicious plainclothes foundation agents tracked the location of the house from the poster's previous posts and comments, and upon arriving, discovered the anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX-B. The W█████ were administered Class-B amnestics and were provided a new, unoccupied house in the same town.
Addendum XXXX-B2: SCP-XXXX-B Testing Log.
Test: Test video recording inside of SCP-XXXX-B. Date of test: 12/██/18
Test Materials: One (1) D-class personnel holding a iPhone Xs set to record, Dr.████
Procedure: D-class instructed to walk into the room and film various parts of the room with the camera.
Results: Upon entering room, D-class reported feeling slightly cold but otherwise well. D-class rounded the corner in the room and went out of contact of Foundation personnel. D-class could be audibly heard walking around the room for 26 seconds, before stopping and [DATA EXPUNGED]. D-class and smartphone have not been seen since.
Note: After this test, five (5) more D-class were sent in under the same procedure. All tests ended in identical ways, excepting that all additional D-class screamed in disgust upon rounding the corner. - Dr.████
Note: Next time, could you send them in with a cheaper camera? It's not useful to blow six thousand dollars on top of the line smartphones when you could just give them disposable cameras. Fits their name well too. -Dr.██████
Test: Test cognitohazardous effects of SCP-XXXX-B. Date of test: 1/█/19
Test Materials: Two (2) D-class personnel holding ███████ disposable video cameras, Dr.████.
Procedure: D-class instructed to walk into the room, view around the corner, then immediately walk out. Subject instructed to record with the camera what they was seeing.
Results: Both D-class rounded corner and promptly vomited. Subjects successfully exited SCP-XXXX-B. Immediately upon crossing the door of the room, subjects stopped vomiting and asked what was going on. Subjects recalled nothing while inside the room. Upon viewing one video recorded by one of the cameras, Dr.████ died via sudden stroke. Medical records of Dr.████ show no sign of stroke causing conditions in him or his family. Disposable camera has been incinerated. Other video was exposed to D-class with no reaction. Upon re-evaluation of the test materials, one camera was a slightly different model than the camera which caused a stroke.
Note: It seems that different cameras have different responses to SCP-XXXX-B. Maybe we should look into this… Dr.████
Test: Test effects of SCP-XXXX-B on different cameras. Date of test: 1/██/19
Test Materials: 10 D-class personnel, Dr.██████, one (1) iPhone 7 Plus recording on both cameras at the same time, three (3) different models of Nikon brand DSLR camera, two (2) different models of Canon brand DSLR camera, one (1) Samsung Galaxy Note 8 recording on both cameras, one (1) GoPro Hero 5, one (1) ████ ultraviolet camera, and one (1) ████ infrared camera.
Procedure: Each D-class was given one (1) of the cameras, and was instructed to walk into the room, point the camera around the corner without viewing it themselves, and walk out of the room.
Results: All subjects could not recall what they did in the room. Seven out of ten cameras proved fatal to D-class, causing more strokes. The ultraviolet and infrared were not fatal, but also did not record anything useful. Only the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 proved non-fatal among the visible light cameras, recording a simple black screen.
