SCP-5096 spreading SCP-5096-A to individual tiles during a containment breach
Object Class: Keter.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5096 is to be contained in a 5x5 cube made from uranium lined with 1cm of led lining the inside of the cell and 1 meter of led on lining the outside of the cell. The cube is to be suspended 1 meter above the ground, hanging from cables attached to the ceiling and 1 meter away from all walls. The cell is to be sealed with a triple airlock to ensure SCP-5096 will not escape.
The inside of the cell should have 15-20cm of hay/dried grass on the floor. There is to be a trough of water 1x2x0.5m in dimensions that is to be filled with distilled water at all times. The water is to remain perfectly distilled at all times and any contamination is to be removed immediately. The walls of the cell are to be painted blue to give the illusion of the sky with a false sun in the corner which acts as a light. A small "bed" is to be placed in the corner of the cell, the bed is to be a standard "dog bed" available at pet stores. In the front left corner of the cell is to be a bench and a top of this bench is to be a small teddy bear referred to as SCP-5096-1.
SCP-5096 is to bed fed once every 63 hours. Food should consist of bread, wheat, and grain. All food fed to SCP-5096 must be dead, it is never to receive any living plant matter. During feeding, D-Class must check for any contamination in the distilled water and clean any excretion produced from SCP-5096. D-Class is to also check for any signs of damage on SCP-5096-1, if there is any SCP-5096 is to be tranquilized for no longer then 30 minutes during in which time SCP-5096-1 is to be replaced and the old one destroyed with SCP-██.
Description: SCP-5096 appears to be young goat of 3-4 months of age although its true age is unknown. SCP-5096 has been in foundation control for ██ years and has not shown any signs of aging or growing. Whilst SCP-5096 has never shown any aggressive behavior or know to harm any sentient being or object it must be contained due to the possibility of a colour leak.
Whenever SCP-5096 comes into contact with any surface it will begin to "pump" the surface with colour pigments and it will continue to add more pigments of different colours until the surface has turned brown. if there is a patterned floor SCP-5096 will change the colours of the ground following the pattern, so on a tiled floor it would only do one tile at a time. If there is no pattern SCP-5096 will pump pigment into an area between 1-2 metres large at a time. This area is to be referred to as SCP-5096-A. When SCP-5096 starts to turn the colours of an area it will first take it 10-15 minutes to complete SCP-5096-A, and after each completion of SCP-5096-A the speed in which SCP-5096-A spreads will increase, with the area effected being increased by 2-4 times however it will take exactly 1.5 times longer than the previous time for the SCP-5096-A to spread. Radiation from uranium will slow the spread of SCP-5096-A, combined with a lead lining 99% of SCP-5096-A will be stopped however small amounts will still spread. SCP-5096-A will not spread if SCP-5096 is not in contact with it, but it will also not shrink. There is currently no known to reverse the effects of SCP-5096-A.
For unknown reasons, SCP-5096 will appear to be angered by non-sentient life such as plants, or imitations of sentient life such as teddy bear or a child's doll. When SCP-5096 comes into contact with non-sentient life it will enter a stage of distress in which it will begin bleating, crying brown tears and appear to be in pain. After staying in this distressed state for 10-15 minutes it will begin to become angry in which it will start attacking the life form. At first the attack will consist of head buts, kicks and attempts to consume the life form, shortly after SCP-5096 will start to cry more brown tears resulting in an accelerated occursion of SCP-5096-A which will only effect the life form. The life form will quickly decay and turn into a brown sludge. The same events will occur if SCP-5096 comes into contact of an imitation of sentient life, however certain objects such as a teddy bear are able to achieve a peace with SCP-5096 which will cause SCP-5096 to stop producing SCP-5096-A. It is unknown why certain objects possess this ability or why the peace occurs.
If SCP-5096-A comes into contact with a human or other living creature it will quickly spread to the eyes. The first symptom is the pupil turning brown, followed by the Sclera. The person infected vision will begin to turn brown followed by complete blackout of vision. The person or creature's flesh will soon begin to decay into SCP-5096-A, this process is painless and the victim will not even notice it occurring. After the victim's body has been completely transformed into SCP-5096-A, the face of the victim may appear inside of SCP-5096-A or a distorted voice of the victim may be heard. Once someone has become infected with SCP-5096-A it is impossible to stop the worsening and they will be transformed into SCP-5096-A. SCP-5096 seems to be aware of its effect on other life forms and will attempt to not spread SCP-5096-A to sentient life forms, however it seems unable to control the spread of SCP-5096-A and will infect anyways.
