Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX's host is to be kept in a cryostasis chamber inside a cell with 1-meter-thick iron walls until it is necessary to remove it. A tranquilizer gun is to be loaded on the ceiling The host's skin should be completely covered at all times unless adequate reasoning is provided. If the object is without a host for any reason, it is to be contained in the smaller cryostasis chamber in its cell. If the object escapes confinement with a host, the host is to be tranquilized and placed back in confinement. If the object escapes without a host, D-class personnel are to enter the chamber until the object takes a host, which is to be tranquilized immediately.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an earthworm, about 300 mm in length. Neural scans show that the object has a very irregular amount of neural activity for its species. Due to its seemingly indestructible skin, surgery on the object has proven impossible, and CAT scans show no sign of the object having a brain. The worm shows a remarkable ability to traverse through dirt, and an even more remarkable ability to traverse through living tissue.

If the object makes physical contact with an animal of a greater size, it can inhabit that animal's mind. Once the worm inhabits a host, basic instincts and muscle memory is kept. However, when inhabited, the host's IQ will rise to an average of 180.1

Once SCP-XXXX has inhabited a host, it can exit at any point
