Item #: SCP-5134 (Final Number TBD)
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures:
In short, the Special Containment Procedure for SCP-5134 is good will between all sides.
Even though SCP-5134's inhabitants are overall friendly and helpful to visitors so long as they are non-hostile, this anomaly has a numbed of defense mechanisms that have demonstrated that they could easily dispel all Foundation agents and breach containment should they so desire. There have been multiple instances of hostile forces from other times and realities which would pose a serious threat to MTF's, which were easily neutralized by SCP-5134's Guardians, which have demonstrated advanced directed energy weapons and shields, as well as the ability to quickly recover from damage that would instantly KIA a human being, while the corridors themselves have demonstrated the ability to deploy stun fields in instances where two or more parties engage in fights, which were instantly stopped.
The Guardians have prevented the Foundation or Global Occult Coalition from preventing none-members such as US Citizens and tourists from abroad from accessing the SCP-5134 network, nor have they been permitted to remove them. Any agents who have attempted have been temporarily banned from SCP-5134 for 24 hours, while any superiors who ultimately gave the order have been banned for up to a decade. Anyone who has been banned from the system will be instantly escorted back out by Guardians, or simply teleported back to the entrance. Both the Foundation and GOC has been warned that the use of amnestics on non-member visitors is also a violation of their terms of use, and is punishable with the "ban of their entire organization until the effects of the reason for this ban expire", such as the amnestics wearing off, or the person who the amnestics were applied to passes away.
SCP-5134's AI has stated that this system was designed to be used by anyone, and that any visitors who attempt to violate the purpose of its design will be removed.
Description:
SCP-5134 as a whole is a non-Euclidian place first discovered in the London Underground in 19XX during repairs following the Second World War. A second entrance was found in the New York City Subway System in 2001 during repairs near the former World Trade Center site. Entrances from both sites consist of a stairway going down an additional level, and a short corridor, which do not correspond to any known maps or schematics for either underground railway systems. The stairway and hallway leading to the SCP-5135 system is classified as SCP-5134-1, and has been under Foundation control since 1949. The entrance in New York City has been under the control of the GOC since it's discovery in 2001, however, the Foundation has been allowed free usage under a treaty negotiated by SCP-5134's AI.
SCP-5134 itself consists of a complex system of corridors and stairs which occupies a place outside of normal space-time, not unlike SCP-2000. This system of corridors and stairs has rows of exits leading to other times places, and alternate realities. Navigation is possible via a system of highly advanced holographic displays, which describes the name of the place, year, and disposition that the exit leads to. The language will always appear to the user in the language he/she is most fluent in, suggesting some form of telepathic or cognito-technology interface.
Addendum: SCP-5134's AI confirms that the interfaces scan the minds of potential users to "better serve the needs of visitors". The AI has stated however that the system is programmed not invasively scan for thoughts that the user does not want to share, such as classified Foundation material.
A system of corridors and stairs that exhibit not entirely Euclidian properties, and are out of phase with reality (registered as SCP-TBD-1)
A system of rapid transit resembling vacuum trains, similar to those connecting major Foundation sites, but far more advanced (SCP-TBD-3)
Artificial sapient entities made out of nanites, capable of taking any form as necessary (SCP-TBD-2), whose primary function appear to be in assisting any visitors, and the removal of any threats.
An artificial intelligence (SCP-TBD-4), whose purpose is to administrate SCP-TBD, and to brief any visitors when they first arrive.
SCP-TBD has a system of corridors with purposes not unlike the one found in the New York Subway System, each of which allows access to a particular reality, time period, and place. These instances are registered as SCP-TBD-5
Initial Exploration Audio Log:
*MTF crosses end of the dark corridor, and find themselves in a massive, well-lit corridor.*
MTF-2: "What?! Where did all of this light come from?!"
MTF-3: "There wasn't any light coming from the other side. It was completely dark!" *Pauses, and crosses back over the entrance corridor threshold* "Okay, I can't see that massive corridor from here". *Steps back into the massive corridor* "Okay, this is very strange. *Pauses* It's like I can only can't see the other side of the corridor from the other side."
MTF-4: "Could be some sort of cognitofilter. Might explain why we only found this place now."
MTF-2: "Control, are you seeing this?"
Control: "We read you, and see you, MTF-TBD."
MTF-3: "Would you look at the size of this place?! This corridor must be big enough to allow two lanes of traffic going both ways!"
MTF-2: "At least two lanes! And look how high the ceiling is! Corridor appears to go in both directions, with no end within visual range."
MTF-1: "Remember ladies and gents, this is not a sight-seeing tour. We don't know what could be down here with us. Just because this place is well lit, just means that we made easy targets ourselves, so stay alert!"
Control: "MTF, please continue to describe what we are seeing."
MTF-1: "Roger control. The floor of the corridor appears to be made out of some dark, silvery alloy, segmented apart by strips of a glass like material. *Leans down to get closer to the floor* "I think they could be made out of some type of gem, maybe quartz."
MTF-3: "Is it my imagination, or could this be diamond? It certainly sparkles like diamond."
MTF-Leader: "The metal alloy rises up the walls in crisscrossing patterns, about a foot think in width. They kind of look a little like branches. They are flush with the walls, and go all the way up to the ceiling."
MTF-4: "I think that they could be for structural support."
MTF-5: "Are you sure? They don't thick enough for structural support."
MTF-4: "I'm the resident combat engineer, remember? Trust me, whoever built this place is very, very ahead of us in technology, and who knows what architectural techniques they had at their disposal. The Foundation has only just recently begun to expirement with carbon"
The following are instances of SCP-TBD-5:
Reality appears to be recovering from a nuclear war. Population consists of instances of SCP-1000. Appears to be the same or a similar reality from which SCP-2273/Alexei Belitrov originated from. Assigned MTF reports machines floating through the air that appear to neutralize the surrounding radiation. Further exploration has revealed that all surviving signs of human habitation have been abandoned. A massive space launch complex have been found at the nearest major Foundation site.
Addendum 01: All further exploration of reality number TBD has been suspended following hostile action from SCP-1000 instances.
Entrance is 45 meters high, and leads into what appears to be some sort of advanced military base, which is stocked with huge military zoological androids. MTF team was apprehended by base security shortly after arrival, but later escorted back to SCP-TBD-5 entrance after convinced that they did were not enemy spies. Diplomatic ties were established shortly afterwards.
Addendum: Military base has been taken by enemy forces, and all former personnel, including Foundation personnel have either been KIA or taken as POWs, and all military units assigned to the base have been either terminated or otherwise neutralized. Efforts are under way to negotiate the release of Foundation personnel. Due to the disposition of SCP-TBD-2 and SCP-TBD-4 towards military solutions, as well as the apparent fighting strength of this universe's military units, armed intervention is strongly discouraged. SCP-TBD-4 has especially strongly discouraged military retaliation.
