Item #: SCP-5196

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5196 is to be locked into an empty room made out of 2 inches of thick concrete. It is to be monitored every other hour through surveillance cameras. One guard can protect the entrance to the room, but most of the time this is unnecessary. It is to be given 3 meals per day, at intervals similar to human meal times. It does not seem to require regular entertainment or physical exercise. Staff members protecting it often do not need much therapy, though there have been certain cases where a staff member is slightly disturbed.

Description: SCP-5196 seems to be a humanoid child, with its left half of its body missing. It has a height of around 5 feet. The internal organs of the child are visible from its missing half, and it seems to feel pain when the insides meet physical contact. Due to oxygen exposure, the internal organs seem to be disfigured and withering. 5196 seems to be capable of basic speech, although it often finds it hard to form proper sentences and phrases.

It is often very compliant and attentive to foundation personnel, and exerts extreme obedience and loyalty when psychological tests are ran on it. There have been cases of 5196 befriending Class-D personnel during tests, to the point where the Class-D in question requests to see them again. In addition to that, it is very charismatic and friendly to most foundation staff. However, it is capable of weak self defense when it feels threatened or disturbed.
