SCP-5078 is an anthropomorphic piece of paper, edges seemed to have been cut out of the paper so that the paper left takes form a human's shape. Despite the physics, SCP-5078 always seems to be elongated, scaling at roughly 1.88976 meters. (6"2 in ft.)
Further examination shows that the details on SCP-5078 are imprinted by colored/black ink. Black ink outlines a humanoid entity, as it seems to have fingers, toes, feet, legs, arms, eyes, hair, ears, a nose, and a mouth.
The ink seems to be smooth by looks, as if it was a cartoon. SCP-5078 seems to be wearing red jeans, green shoes, and a green short sleeve shirt. It has tan skin, black hair, and ovular eyes with brown ovular pupils. It's head, compared the rest of SCP-5078's body, is larger. His limbs, torso, and feet all seem to be of the same width.
It is notable that SCP-5078, unlike humans, does not possess a pelvis.
It's mouth seems to be making some kind of smiling gesture at all times.
The strands of paper SCP-5078 calls his "arms" are 2 ovals, in which he says they are "muscles".
Despite the fact that SCP-5078 is made entirely of paper, it seems it can bend it's "limbs" as a human would.
When touching it, SCP-5078 is capable of entering an energy field. This field seems to be extremely tense, but is not itself charged, like an electric fence. This field seems to come from the paper itself, and seems to be surrounding SCP-5078.
SCP-5078 often displays emotions when approached, but they always seem to be confused ones. SCP-5078 likes to make happy noises, but seems to like scaring humans more. SCP-5078 will spend quite a bit of time trying to scare humans, but seems not to have any clue what he's doing.
SCP-5078 has a tendency to "breathe fire". A flame appears from SCP-5078's mouth. It does not seem to affect the surrounding paper.
SCP-5078's heart seems to be constantly beating, as it has been seen beating quickly for several minutes. When this happens, SCP-5078's arm will pop out of the paper and his arm will move quickly towards the heart of its holder. This seems to cause the wearer of the heart to "breathe fire" much more strongly, though it doesn't seem to do any noticeable damage.
SCP-5078's arm often comes out of the piece of paper at least once a day, to some extent. This seems to be an effect of the "breathing fire". It can be stopped by chewing the paper, although it often persists for a minute or so after this.
SCP-5078 has been recorded reading a small amount of text and folding the paper over several times. It seems to be absorbing it into its body, and occasionally later "reads" this text. Though SCP-5078 seems to have developed some degree of "clarity" on the first reading of this text, later readings seem to be "raw", even uninformative. It is unclear if SCP-5078 is the reason behind the subjects unresponsiveness during readings.
Addendum 5078-1: SCP-5078 "Breathes fire" while holding a metal shank in its hand, which glows a bright red colour and has a large blade on it. The blade contains blood, and when it touches any part of the victim's body, the victim begins to bleed profusely. The injuries appear to vary greatly, and SCP-5078 seems to be unaffected. Most wounds heal within 3 minutes, with exceptions such as deep wounds such as through bone and muscles.
SCP-5078's effect is usually triggered by threatening to hurt the subject, and it normally does not kill them. It has been noted that, once SCP-5078 has reached the brink of the victim's death, it will not initiate the breathing fire effect any longer, instead giving the subject time to think. If the victim makes any noise, SCP-5078 will proceed to finish the effect off.
SCP-5078 is always able to start the fire effect whenever the opportunity presents itself, regardless of whether it is in the middle of a second reading or during a first reading.
SCP-5078 may only maintain the fire effect until 1.5 seconds after a subject attempts to end it. A number of fire conditions have been known to trigger the breathing fire effect and if the burning continues for longer than this, SCP-5078 will cease to continue the effect.
[DATA EXPUNGED]
SCP-5078 uses a "data channel" to store and access its knowledge, memories, and any info it has acquired since it was originally created. By accessing this channel, it is possible to view any message it might have in any particular folder, as well as seeing a visual of how SCP-5078 constructed the message in question. In addition, it is possible to see any one of its previous effects.
SCP-5078 is sentient and vocal. It will speak in its native language (currently Telugu) when directly addressed. SCP-5078 is, in effect, a perfect intelligence that must have been built by human hands (SCP-5078 does not, however, need energy to "speak", in the way a computer does, suggesting that an implant of some kind must be used to turn SCP-5078's speech into a data channel capable of communicating with the outside world.
SCP-5078 cannot be located in a natural environment. An embedded camera in SCP-5078's chest allows its appearance to be observed from a variety of angles, but its exact location is still unknown. However, if SCP-5078 is forced to remain in a room, isolated from the outside world, it will slowly waste away until its effective age is about 700 years (this is about the point at which it will stop speaking). Although a humanoid humanoidoid entity will never physically deplete its energy reserves, it does not metabolize food at a rate that keeps up with its energy expenditure. The current estimated age of SCP-5078 is 16,660 years (April 15, 1952).
It was found on ██/██/2016, by two reports from the ██████████ Institute, that SCP-5078 had not been seen for over ████ years, and that its physical appearance had radically changed. The body is now covered with a white, cobweb-like material. It also has multiple, indistinct red blotches on its face, eyes, and neck. These blotches are persistent across many individuals, indicating that there are other instances of SCP-5078 existing, but currently unknown.
It is suspected that SCP-5078 is a sentient species in a biosphere. The exact source of SCP-5078's energy is unknown, but it is believed to be sustenance provided by the original owner of SCP-5078. The loss of SCP-5078's ability to speak has made its communication impossible. Several attempts have been made to recover information from SCP-5078, and have been unsuccessful. However, it is known that several survivors of SCP-5078 have reported seeing a brightly glowing humanoid figure. At least one survivor describes the entity as humanoid, with blood-red eyes, a reddish hairless skin, and a humanoid upper torso. This survivor stated that the entity was not entirely humanoid, but some kind of alien. This is believed to be the origin of SCP-5078.
