An image of SCP-XXXX collapsed into a pile during autumn.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a reinforced concrete humanoid containment chamber within Site-19. The flooring of said chamber is to be covered in a nutrient-filled soil. Personnel of at least Level 2 clearance are permitted to enter SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber. Once every 24 hour period, a standard sized (.5 liters) bottle of purified water is to be supplied to SCP-XXXX for absorption.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a tall (measuring 2.24 meters), viridescent humanoid entity with an exterior composed of moss and leaves with floral activity sometimes present. It has no facial features, and it is unknown how it sees and hears. No noticeable bone structure of any form is present within SCP-XXXX, nor is there any known internal organs. This allows it to slip into cracks, holes, or other penetrable surfaces with little effort as it can collapse its body into different forms. It’s collapsible property allows it to camouflage into trees, plants, and the ground if there’s grass. Its pigmentation changes with the colder months to reflect trees and allow for accurate blending.
Originally classed as Euclid as it can slip through possible holes, SCP-XXXX is classed as Safe, as it doesn’t seem to want to leave. SCP-XXXX poses no threat to humans and enjoys interactions with them. Its behavior is usually still and predictable, watching the plants that grow in its containment chamber. SCP-XXXX requires no sustinece other than small amounts of water, which is provided once each day. Flora is planted in the chamber to keep SCP-XXXX calm, so staff bi-monthly checks on the condition of plants and replant as necessary. If SCP-XXXX has no access to plants, it will become visibly frightened and seek out any sentient being to comfort it. This has ranged from onsite staff, D-Class personnel, and even other SCPs. Plants are now kept in the room, and emergency plants kept in storage nearby.
Despite its inability to verbally communicate, SCP-XXXX has a basic understanding of the English language. It can also use simple gestures such as waving to people and giving hugs to those it likes. Along with this, it seems to be able to see the recent brain activity of humans, animals, plants, and possibly even SCPs, and will react differently depending on what is present in the room and could show violence in rare circumstances (see Incident Report XXXX-1). Due to the violence only being caused by purposeful violent nature, SCP-XXXX is permitted to roam certain corridors of the site while supervised, and is sometimes used in testing with SCPs.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was discovered by the foundation when police were called in █████, Kansas on report of ‘a man dressed in leaves watching people through their windows’. When police tried apprehending SCP-XXXX, it was frightened and molded into a pile on the ground. Foundation staff was notified of the incident and sent a recovery team, who contained SCP-XXXX by ‘luring it in with politeness’, as said by a recovery agent, due to it having obvious panic in it.
Incident Report XXXX-1: D-Class personnel D-6271 was sent into SCP-XXXX’s test chamber under the impression that it was ‘safe’. He had been arrested under murder charges. SCP-XXXX had waved to the subject when he entered, but showed no interest. This is presumably due to D-6271’s violent actions in the past. D-6271 was instructed to throw something at SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX was hit with a clump of dirt and didn’t seem to change in emotion. D-6271 was instructed to stomp on a plant. He stomped on a flower next to him. SCP-XXXX almost immediately reacted with violence and [REDACTED], causing D-6271 to burst apart from the inside. The blood was cleaned up and the flower was replaced quickly, and SCP-XXXX became calm again.
