Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: As of 02/06/2018, SCP-XXXX is considered uncontained. Containing SCP-XXXX is considered a C-class priority. SCP-XXXX research is currently coordinated at Site-84.
Any civilian contacted by SCP-XXXX is to be apprehended immediately, and any mobile devices confiscated. They are then to be amnestized and released to the general public.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the Hook, Loan, and Sinker loan company. SCP-XXXX claims to be able to provide loans with which to purchase a number of anomalous 'products', as well as facilitate their purchase if necessary.
SCP-XXXX's location is unknown. SCP-XXXX contacts potential customers via e-mail, directing customers to the website YYYYYYYY.org1 where they will be able to both take out the loan and make the desired purchase.
At this point in time, there have been 72 known attempts by SCP-XXXX to contact potential customers. 97.2% of these events have been ignored or treated as phishing.2 Because of this, SCP-XXXX is seen as a low priority in containment.
SCP-XXXX offers loans at a scale that no non-anomalous organization could offer, with aggressive interest rates. SCP-XXXX's goal appears to be indebting its customers to itself, though the reasons for doing so are unknown.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was first brought to the Foundation's attention by SCP-4602, who claims to be indebted to the company. SCP-4602 has proven reluctant to speak about SCP-XXXX at length, stating that they have never met any member of the company in person. Moreover, SCP-4602 has claimed that its current state is due to being unwilling to perform criminal actions for SCP-XXXX. The veracity of these claims is unproven; however, it does align with the current understanding of SCP-XXXX's capabilities.
Research into the company revealed that SCP-XXXX had been noticed by several email security companies, though none had noted SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties. Interviewing individuals who had reported SCP-XXXX's email were unable to provide meaningful information, due to SCP-XXXX's contact being disregarded as spam.
The first meaningful lead was when Ms. Eve Nye contacted her local police, claiming that she had gotten into debt for purchasing 'pyrokinesis'. Foundation operatives were sent to oversee the investigation.
