Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locker the size of 5x5x5cm, the containment unit must be of non-conductive material, misuse of SCP-XXXX by unauthorized personnel must be prevented at all times. Due to the anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX it can’t be operated for longer than 1 hour, after use it must be in storage for an approximate of 2 days.
Description: SCP-XXXX resembles a coin cell with the dimensions of 23mm Diameter and a height of 3.2mm.
SCP-XXXX can be inserted into any battery compartment, it will then take on the properties of the appropriate cell its replacing with, the Capacity of SCP-XXXX is currently unknown and seems to be unlimited.
When SCP-XXXX is in use the object it powers will function normally for 1 hour, after this time the object will break or absorbed into SCP-XXXX
After SCP-XXXX was used it must be in storage and to not be used for at least 2 days, when used before these 2 days are over, SCP-XXXX will not work and instantly absorb the object into itself.
When needed SCP-XXXX will multiply in order to fill the entire compartment of batteries, these copies although wont work alone or again after usage, SCP-XXXX must absorb the copies before it will be in functioning state.
Note: Whoever short-circuited SCP-XXXX is getting terminated, it almost blew up the whole test chamber! -Dr. Volta
Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX Came into the attention of the Foundation after a child used SCP-XXXX on his handheld on ██/██/2019 for longer than 60 Minutes, the toy disappeared and when tried report to the police that "The Handheld suddenly disappeared only leaving the Batteries" they marked it as "Unusual" and informed the Foundation of the Incident. SCP-XXXX Was then taken care of by the Foundation.
Log of tests with SCP-XXXX
Object: A desk fan, battery powered.
Duration: 5 Minutes
Analysis: The Fan operated Normally for 5 Minutes.
Object: A Toy Crane, Powered by 3 Tripple A Batteries.
Duration: 50 Minutes
Analysis: SCP-XXXX suddenly multiplied when it came in contact with the battery compartment, these copies didn’t work on their own.
Note: Interesting, the Battery multiplied in the compartment, although the copies don't work on their own. -Dr. Volta
Object: A phone gimbal, phone inserted and recording.
Duration: 60 Minutes and █ Seconds
Analysis: The battery absorbed the gimbal after the time ran out, the phone was still recording and didn’t disappear.
