Special Containment Procedures: SCP ??? is to be kept in a 50x50x50 cm steel box. The box must be stored in a concrete room with earth floor and ventilation leading to an incinerator. The room where SCP ??? is contained must be sprayed with high doses of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine (or other powerfull Herbicide). Any form of vegetal life within 200 meters of SCP's ??? contaiment chamber must be incinerated upon discovering.
Description: SCP-??? is a 16 inches tall ceramic garden gnome. When in dorment state, the statue resembles a sleeping gnome using a red mushroon as a pillow. When within 200 meters of any vegetal life form or any seed, SCP-??? becomes active.
When active, SCP-??? change its appearence to a gnome sitting in the same red mushroon and smoking a pipe. No mass os size alteration was noted but a thin smoke of unknow substance comes out of the pipe. The origin of the smoke is also unknow.
Any plant life form within 200 meters from the object start to grows in a fast and unpredictable way. The proximity with the SCP is shown to affect the growing ratio, exponentialy. A seed in within 30 or less meters from SCP-??? will reach adult stage of development in about 24 hours. If the distancy is bigger, the development get slower, but all of the test subjects have reach full grownth in less than 72 hours. After that, the plant will start to display anomalous behavior and grown strange structures.
Each plant development is unpredictable, and things like weather, soil propreties, distance from SCP-??? and others factors may affect the outcome. All the subjects have displayed:
- Animal-like levels of inteligence.
- Predatory behavior against animal life forms.
- Advanced hunting techniques and even use of tools in some cases was observed.
- Mobility, incompatible with vegetal life forms.
SCP-??? smoke also was noted to affect animal life form, but in a much slow ratio. Prolonged exposure to SCP-??? smoke causes lethargic behavior. After more then several days of direct exposure, subjects will experience a hibernation-like sleep. If removed in this state, the victim will suffer no long term effects, fully recovering after one day in quarentine. If exposed for more then a week, any subject will enter in a irreversible coma state. This was only observed to affect animals within direct contact to SCP-??? smoke.
SCP-??? was retrieved from a abandoned farm in [DATA EXPUNGED], Kenya, where twelve people are went missing. A small MTF was send to investigate and found the object.
Experimentation log

Test subject:
A small branch of Solanum lycopersicum (normal tomato), 20 meters away from SCP-???, for now on referred as SCP-???-A.0h10 after exposure: SCP-???-A starts to germinate.
22h after exposure: SCP-???-A has fully grown in a 12 ft tall tomato plant.
22h35 after exposure: SCP-???-A start then to produce about ten and fifteen tomatos.
23h after exposure: All the tomatoes grows to about 5 inches each. They display what appears to be sharp sting-like protuberances, with about half inche each.
24h after exposure: SCP-???-Aeactions from SCP-???-A .
30h after exposure: Dr. ████████ order to release an starving adult pig in the testing room.
Final result: As soon as the pig entered the testing room, a loud buzzing was heard. SCP-???-A start to move, shaking violently. Then it "threw" fruits towards the pig at impressive speed. The sting-like anomalies easily pierce the animal skin. After less then three minutes, the pig start to present seizures and died after. SCP-???-A then go back to normal state.
The room was sprayed with herbicide and all the instances of SCP-???-A and its fruits are incinerated.
