Mnemonix's Drafts

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a medium size secure storage room. Two guards are to guard the room's door at all times. SCP-XXXX cannot be moved due to its active nature and possibility of containment breach. On dates which are a multiple of 20, there will be a SCP-XXXX-Alpha event from 0100 to 0300. Prior to the event, any personnel in the room must leave except for one d-class. All organic matter which remains in the room during the event will be completely destroyed. There is to be no attempt to contain any additional anomalies during the event, See experiment log XXXX-A for more information.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a three part machine, consisting of two instances of SCP-XXXX-1 ("The Generators"), and one instance of SCP-XXXX-2 ("The Container"). The generators are heavily modified Scranton reality anchors. The generators appear to not require power, as they siphon Hume particles from their surroundings, focusing the particles into a 3 centimeter wide beam. The generators are pointed towards two Hume particle input ports on the container, allowing the particle beams to enter into it. The container is a spherical object with four Hume particle input ports around its equator, and an access port on the top. Two of the Hume particle input ports are constructed of a translucent material, allowing viewing of the container's contents. The access port cannot be opened at this time due to a lock of unknown make. The generators and container appear to be made out of a high strength titanium steel. No metal sample has been taken from SCP-XXXX due to the possibility of a containment breach.

SCP-XXXX originally appeared with a computer running an unknown operating system. The computer is secured to the right generator. The computer has one apparent function, which is to record and allow access to logs stored internally. Shortly after SCP-XXXX was recovered, the computer was determined to be non-anomalous, but has an inherent connection with SCP-XXXX. The connection's source is unknown, but is most likely initiated by the container. Level 3 personnel and higher are allowed access at any time. Excerpts from some of the logs are saved in document-XXXX-24.

Prior to an SCP-XXXX-Alpha event on ██/██/████, a camera and a Hume detector were placed in the storage room. At approximately 0100, a fractal of indeterminate size appeared directly in front of SCP-XXXX. During this time, any organic matter in the room during the event when into a kind of stasis, and slowly withered until no organic molecules remain. The fractal disappeared approximately an hour after the start, at 0150. While the fractal was visible, the Hume levels in the room steadily rose from half the background to triple the background. The fractal also emitted approximately 37 MJ of ionizing radiation per second. The radiation was undetectable outside of the storage room, which is hypothesized to be a secondary effect of SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX was recovered on 21/03/1993 at the hour 0151, after the safe-class storage room it anomalously appeared in was locked and displaced. All objects stored in the room were found █ km away, in the garage of a nearby abandoned farmhouse. All items were completely untouched, and still remained in their original containment units.
