Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: A Foundation front company has purchased the land surrounding SCP-XXXX and maintains it as private property in order to prevent civilian access. If SCP-XXXX undergoes a type-ROM event, Class A amnestics are to be administered to all civilians that have become aware of the anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX and a cover story is to be provided for the disappearance of the SCP-XXXX-A instance.
SCP-XXXX-C instances are not to be released from SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-C instances are to be contained in standard moderate-climate avian containment cells until gestation is complete, at which point the SCP-XXXX-C instance is to be terminated and the offspring are to be diffused into the civilian populace.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cylindrical unmarked two-story red brick water tower located five km East of Elva, Estonia. The interior of SCP-XXXX is accessed through an unlocked wooden door located on the north side of the building. A fresco painting in the Netherlandic style is present on the ceiling. The painting depicts the Christian Nativity currently bordered by 280 white feathers.
The anomalous properties of SCP-XXXX manifest when a human being that is fluent in Estonian1 enters SCP-XXXX while no persons are within SCP-XXXX or within a five meter radius of SCP-XXXX-A. When the above conditions are met, a humanoid entity2 will manifest approximately one meter behind SCP-XXXX-A. SCP-XXXX-B will then proceed to lock the door unless outside forces prevent this action.
SCP-XXXX-B is a humanoid female of advanced age, currently believed to be supercentarian in nature. SCP-XXXX-B is of eastern European descent, is fluent in Estonian, and has shown no signs of aging during Foundation containment. After attempting to lock the door to SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-B will address SCP-XXXX-A by name, and invite SCP-XXXX-A to an unspecified room at the top of SCP-XXXX3. SCP-XXXX-B will generally offer conversation along with small amenities to SCP-XXXX-A if it complies in its request.
If SCP-XXXX-A states that it no longer wants to enter the unspecified room and instead wants to exit SCP-XXXX, SCP-XXXX-B will ask why the SCP-XXXX-A instance wishes to leave. If provided a reason, SCP-XXXX-B will de-manifest, and the door will open autonomously. If no reason is provided within one minute, SCP-XXXX-B will attempt to coax the SCP-XXXX-A instance into accepting the original offer. If this is not successful, SCP-XXXX-B will de-manifest in the manner previously specified.
Upon reaching the top of the staircase, SCP-XXXX-B will address SCP-XXXX-A, asking it several questions in an attempt to begin a conversation. At this point, SCP-XXXX will undergo a type-ROM event.
Type-ROM Event: A Type-ROM event designates the de-manifestation of both SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B via anomalous means and the subsequent creation of an SCP-XXXX-C instance. The first recorded Type-ROM event is translated and recorded below.
Flooding the water tower.
[Footage begins. SCP-XXXX-A enters SCP-XXXX, causing SCP-XXXX-B to manifest and lock the door. SCP-XXXX-A turns around and, seeing that the door is locked, physically assaults SCP-XXXX-B.]
SCP-XXXX-A:
SCP-XXXX-B: So few of us above, so many cities below. We are giving signs to cities, that children must go to sleep! Oh sleep my dear… If you want a bird from the sky - you’ll get it. What do you want? Just let me know - I can give you anything! So why don’t you want to sleep? Oh sleep, because in the night, when we are shining in the sky, your parents are asleep, and only you aren’t.
Hush…Hush… There were five little storks… Hush… Four flew away.
Oh sleep, because the moon just yawned, and will fall asleep in a moment, and in the morning, when dawn will come, the moon is going to feel ashamed that it was him, not you, who went to bed. Hush…Hush…
[SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B are completely submerged.]
After SCP-XXXX-B finishes this song, both instances de-manifest, and an instance of SCP-XXXX-C manifests from the water created by the Type-ROM event. No SCP-XXXX-A instances have been recovered after de-manifestation at the time of writing. The clothes, jewelry, and other non-biological objects carried by SCP-XXXX-A instances do not de-manifest.
SCP-XXXX-C instances are specimens of Ciconia ciconia (White stork) which posses a biological anomaly manifesting in the stomach. SCP-XXXX-C instances naturally produce amniotic fluid instead of gastric acid. The stomachs of SCP-XXXX-C instances contain between one to four non-anomalous human embryos, which are regurgitated by the SCP-XXXX-C instance after a gestatory period of nine months. The resulting infants are genetically identical to the SCP-XXXX-A instance that most recently underwent a Type-ROM event.
