Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept at Site-17 in a standard humanoid containment cell. All reasonable requests for small comforts, such as books, may be granted.

Due to SCP-XXXX's properties, the door to SCP-XXXX's cell must be remotely controlled by a researcher elsewhere on-site, all personnel that interact with SCP-XXXX must have scored 90th percentile or higher on the Heller-Oteski Innate Psionic Resistance scale, they must be given an earpiece allowing for direct communication between the interacting personnel and the researcher in control of the door, and the researcher must regularly remind them that this is an SCP.

SCP-XXXX must be fed 3 times a day, with its meals being brought in by D-Class personnel, preferably the same D-Class every day.

In case of an escape attempt, the door is to be locked and MTF-Psi-6 "Psly Dogs" are to be sent in to terminate the D-Class involved.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a shape-shifting humanoid that takes the form of a hypothetical, non-existent family member of a person it comes into contact with (henceforth known as its victim), and through methods that aren't yet understood, makes the victim believe SCP-XXXX is a member of its family, and thus should be taken home and cared for.

As far as the Foundation is aware, it stays with the family until it should die of old age, at which point it appears to die, and then escapes, finding a new victim as far away as possible.1
