Morae

Class: Euclid

Special containment procedures:
SCP-???? is to be contained in a 15x15 meter room, with a table of appropriate height for use by subject when standing, a large flat screen television, and a nest-like pile of blankets and pillows for the subject to sleep and rest upon. Subject should be fed approximately 3lbs of raw meat per day. Larger feedings will result in longer time periods before SCP-???? will request additional food. Requested items should be approved by the level 3 researcher in charge of SCP-????.

SCP-???? has shown no inclination to harm anyone who does not attempt to injure it first, but should be kept isolated from all but previously screened members of staff due to the potential for violent reactions.

Description:
SCP-???? is a previously unidentified bipedal creature standing approximately 2.5 meters tall, with two sets of upper limbs. The smaller set appears to be mostly vestigial, only serving to hold items passed to them from the larger set. The subject has a very long and highly mobile neck, approximately half of which consists of SCP-????’s mouth. The subject lacks an identifiable head, the neck instead terminating in a mask of humanoid appearance made out of porcelain, which seems to be fused to the flesh SCP-????. In the center of the subject’s body is what best described as an aperture, and when open, it reveals a variable quantity of eyes staring from what seems to be the depths of space.

SCP-???? was discovered in 19?? after the small village of [REDACTED], Peru, ceased its previous export of high quality alpaca fibers and yarns, and instead began bringing quantities of rare metals and gemstones for trade. In addition, members of the village had begun displaying behaviors similar to those found in cult members or very devout worshipers, despite this behavior being previously unseen in this population.

A team was eventually deployed to explore this incident after a previously unknown metal was brought to their attention. The village was observed as having a reduced population from previously known figures, although many members were later found in the surrounding mountains, where they had been exiled for failing to worship the new ‘deity’ of the area.

The subject seems to alter the movement of light around it’s abdominal aperture, although this seems to be an involuntary process. As such, all attempts at video recording and photography appear highly distorted, and approximately 75% of subjects who are exposed to SCP-???? for more than one hour will begin to complain of headaches and nausea. Of the affected population, 10% will begin to display aggressive and hostile behavior if they are continually exposed to SCP-????, and may eventually attack the subject in an attempt to end the effect. SCP-???? has, on 3 occasions, devoured whole the class D personnel who were attempting to harm it. This effect does not extend to images of SCP-????.

Other: Subject requires a minimum of five minutes to retrieve items it has placed through the portal itself, and a minimum of half an hour to retrieve other objects. The amount of time required to retrieve objects seems to be related to how commonly occuring the substance is, with rarer materials such as [REDACTED] having taken over 12 hours of the subject’s uninterrupted attention. Subject achieves placement and retrieval of objects by use of its primary upper limbs, which extend to reach into the portal. 100% of viewers will experience headaches and nausea within 5 minutes of this process beginning. All items retrieved will be 3 degrees kelvin, so anything damaged by long term exposure to such temperatures will be considered irretrievable. Subject will happily take requests for specific materials, and depending on the complexity can retrieve up to 10 pounds of the requested item before expressing fatigue and hunger. Subject is unable to obtain items larger than what can be held in one hand at a time.

Subject is easily bored, and will request entertainment on a regular basis. Subject seems to prefer movies and audio dramas if allowed access to crafting materials (subject has expressed a preference for knitting), or when asked to retrieve objects from its portal. Subject also requested educational materials to learn English after it was first contained, and has since requested similar materials for additional languages (Chinese, Russian, [REDACTED], and Hindi so far).
