SCP-XXXX, obstructed as to not cause it's memetic effects.

Item #: SCP-XXXX, The Felt Woman

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard issue Foundation container, and is only to be removed from this container if Addendum XXXX-2 is lifted, in which case a Research Team is to be constructed of Researcher’s that are have no sexual or emotional attraction to the female gender [see addendum XXXX-2].

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid felt effigy of a woman. It’s outer layer is composed of white craft felt [now grey] and is stuffed with a wool polystyrene blend. SCP-XXXX displays no physical anomalies that we know of. SCP-XXXX’s anomalous properties take the shape of a memetic effect that only affects peoples attracted to the female gender. This effect occurs after at least half a second of either unobstructed sight of SCP-XXXX or being within a one meter proximity. The more time spent close to SCP-XXXX or looking at SCP-XXXX, the faster these stages will occur, however once the a subject that is vulnerable to SCP-XXXX’s effects fufils either of these conditions, there is no way that these stages can be stopped, except for a complete memory wipe of a subject. These effects have 7 stages, and are described as follows:

Stage 1 [~0-30 seconds after initial contact]
Stage 1 has little to no effect on those infected, the only affects being an elevated heart rate, increased release of adrenaline, and a strong sense of anxiety when in close proximity to SCP-XXXX. However due to SCP-XXXX’s appearance, this can be confused with a simple fear reaction that some people feel when in SCP-XXXX’s presence.

Stage 2 [~45- 110 seconds after initial contact]
Stage 2 has a more serious effect on the infected. Stage 2 has three [3] main effects, known as the pre-attachment effect, the unknown-awareness effect, and post-adrenaline effect. The pre-attachment effect is the least serious of the three, and refers to the gap between the fear experienced in Stage 1, and the attachment to SCP-XXXX experienced in Stage 3 and onwards. The pre-attachment effect is a limbo effect, with the infected feeling absolutely nothing towards SCP-XXXX. Any fear that the infected previously experienced dissipates, and the infected often describe their feelings towards SCP-XXXX as “indifferent”, “fine”, and “tolerable”. The unknown-awareness effect is more serious and must be studied closer in order to discover its root and capabilities. The unknown-awareness effect is an effect wherein which infected are privy to information that they should have no reason to know, but are unaware that this information should be unknown to them. For example, several infected during this stage gained awareness of the Foundation, it’s work, and anomalous properties as a whole [see addendum-XXXX-4]. Other information gained includes a vast understanding of theoretical physics, an eidetic memory of the entire works of every Agatha Christie novel, and the full addresses of the entire cast of the television show “Glee” to name a few. When questioned on how the infected gain this information, the infected often anser with “I just know it.” or “I don't remember.”. Finally, the post-adrenaline effect is a physical effect, wherein the body drains itself of adrenaline as well as all other hormones after the massive release in Stage 1. This can have a myriad of effects, such as fatigue and muscle spasms. This effect would likely have an effect on growth, however most infected reach Stage 7 and ████ ████████ ████ ████████████ ████████ ████ ████ ████████ before this can be accurately measured.

Stage 3 [~110 seconds - 30 minutes after initial contact]
Stage 3 is the longest and most mundane stage. No serious developments in the infected occur. The three effects they experience in stage 2 now develop slightly, but due to the little effect on infected, this stage is known as “the calm before the storm” by researchers, referencing stage 4 and onwards dramatic effects. The pre-attachment effect now becomes the concrete attachment effect, the post-adrenaline effect wears off leaving the body to effectively and normally regulate homeostasis, and the unknown-awareness effect becomes the post-awareness effect, however it does so slowly and doesn't mature until stage 5. The concrete attachment effect now means that the infected are solidly attached to SCP-XXXX. Distancing infected from SCP-XXXX creates a large dip in dopamine and serotonin in infected persons brains, similar to withdrawal from an addictive substance. When with SCP-XXXX, subjects will maintain a close proximity. When introduced to danger, the infected will move closer to SCP-XXXX [see researchers note 2]. The post-awareness effect begins in this stage too. Infected people completely lose the ability to learn information in normal ways. Their short term memory is completely removed, and brain scans indicate that their hippocampus (the biological center for short term memory) is destroyed. Infected can still however receive new information, supposedly through SCP-XXXX. This information is random at this stage, and when participants are asked how they know these things, they always respond with an answer similar to “The felt woman told me ages ago.”. Several issues with perception occur at this stage, as well as effects similar to schizoaffective disorder. Infected will swear that SCP-XXXX is alive, however they cannot explain how or why. They will also swear that they see SCP-XXXX move out the corner of their eye, however camera footage shows that SCP-XXXX never moves.

Stage 4 [~30 minutes - 35 minutes after initial contact]
Often referred to as the “blip stage” due to its short duration and strong effects, Stage 4 is the first time where all the previous effects coincide, almost in preparation for the following stages. The concrete-attachment effect, the delusions that infected persons experience, and the post-awareness effect, nowmore matured, all coincide to become the concrete-symbiotic effect. Infected persons, now fully attached to SCP-XXXX as if it were a parent or addictive drug. Infected will ask SCP-XXXX questions, which SCP-XXXX will supposedly answer aloud, however only the infected can hear this. SCP-XXXX gives the correct answer to questions posed by the infected 100% of the time, however at this stage infected rarely ask SCP-XXXX questions and when they do, they will be disjointed and grammatically incorrect [see Transcript of interview 104 with subject 22-F ]. Infected will now see SCP-XXXX move around the room, even though camera footage shows that SCP-XXXX does not move at all. Infected will refer to SCP-XXXX as either The Felt Woman, a female derivative of the parental name [Mommy, Mother, Mom etc], or a random woman's name. It is important to note that infected will call SCP-XXXX these names interchangeably, with no perceivable pattern.

Stage 5 [~35 - 60 minutes after initial contact]
Stage 5 is the last stage in which infected retain some form of normalcy. Past Stage 5, infected are no longer considered human. Stage 5 marks the complete maturity and development of all of SCP-XXXX’s memetic effects. Infected now only converse with SCP-XXXX, holding full conversations with it despite all equipment showing that SCP-XXXX does not respond in any way. Infected will now insist that they created SCP-XXXX, and will only refer to it as a term of endearment [honey, darling, sugar etc] or a female family name [daughter, mother, etc]. SCP-XXXX continues to give infected knowledge, but now the knowledge is more relevant. Infected gain the knowledge of researchers and guards family, past, and future, as well as keypad pass codes and information on restricted SCP’s. However information seems to be limited to information immediately relative to SCP-XXXX’s situation. For example, infected Subject 88-D was able to gain the knowledge of Researcher ███████’s family history, even information unknown to researcher ██████, possibly in an attempt to scare researcher ██████ into releasing SCP-XXXX, however could not remember basic facts about Subject 88-D’s own life. Additionally, infected will engage in sexual activities with SCP-XXXX, mainly using it as a sexual aid, however they will insist that SCP-XXXX is enjoying the sexual activities as much as they.

Stage 6 [~60 minutes - 6 hours after initial contact]
Stage 6 marks the beginning of the ██████ phase. Infected will continue to refer to SCP-XXXX as a pet name or a female family name [mother, daughter etc], and will continue in conducting sexual activities. Infected will continue to insist they created SCP-XXXX, and insist that SCP-XXXX is infact a deity of █████ origin. Infected will gain superior knowledge of ██████, ██████, ███████, █████████, and ███. They will know how to conduct ██████ rituals, the time and date of ██████ events both past and future, and the reason for several SCP related incidents, most notably incident ██████. Physical abnormalities begin at this stage, in the form of cysts and cancerous growths in infected. During the around 5 hours this stage lasts, infection will develop from humanoids, into a whole manner of different anomalous creatures. Features include but are not limited to; extra limbs, exo skeletons, extra eyes, increased organ size, increase muscle mass, ██████, a change in tissue composition, ████ reproductive organs, and ███████ ███ █████.

Stage 7 [6 hours or more after initial contact.]
Due to the nature of infected at this stage, all stage 7’s must be terminated if they come anywhere close to breaching containment. Only one stage 7 may occur at any given time, all other instances of stage 7’s must be terminated. After termination, post mortem studies may only occur before 12 hours post termination. After 12 hours post termination, infected corpses must be incinerated. After Addendum-XXXX-18, no infected should reach Stage 7. If an infected comes close to reaching Stage 7, they should either be terminated or have their wiped and be transferred. At stage 7, infected become an organism of immense size due to their rapid increase in limbs and appendages. Stage 7 infected have several memetic abilities, being able to ██████ and ██████ whilst in proximity to living organisms. Additionally, Stage 7 infected seem to only have one drive, a drive to force any living creature they perceive into copulating with SCP-XXXX. Stage 7 infected can survive most injury, being able to heal at a superior rate, however healed tissue is always abnormally weak and more akin to a cancerous growth then regular tissue. Infected at stage 7 have a tendency to violently █████ at any given opportunity, regardless of sex, gender, nationality, etc. See [DATA REDACTED] for more details.[Researcher’s note: I expunged this on Head Researcher █████ orders, the reason she gave was that “no one wants to know those details. I agreed, and asked if I could put this note in to clear up any confusion or curiosity.]

What follows is a collection of transcripts of experiments and interviews conducted by lead researcher ██████ and his team on SCP-XXXX and the infected.

Transcript of interview 14 with subject 9-D by Dr ██████ [60 seconds after initial contact][Stage 2]

<Begin Log>
Interviewer: Hi there ██████, if you wouldn’t take a seat please.
Subject 9-D: Oh, thanks.
Interviewer: Well i’ve just got some questions here, nothing too serious, could you do your best to answer them?
Subject 9-D: Sure.
Interviewer: Ok first of all, what is your name, age, and last previous address.
Subject 9-D: [DATA REDACTED]
Interviewer: Yup that matches what i’ve got here. Next question, is there any random information you’d consider yourself highly knowledgeable on?
Subject 9-D: I mean, I used to be a plumber so I know a lot about that.
Interviewer: Hm ok, anything else?
Person: Well when I was a kid I used to be super into pokemon so I know a lot about that… oh also I’m a big baseball fan so I know a lot of stats. Oh and I know everything there is to know about Antoni Tapies’.
Interviewer: Antoni Tapies?
Person: Yeah, he’s a spanish artist, died in 2012. His first crush was on a girl called Amelia who he used to imagine he’d marry when he was seven.
Interviewer: And how do you know this?
Person: Well I mean… I must’ve learnt it somewhere… damn where did I… [Long pause] I don’t remember.
Interviewer: Thank you ████, that’s everything for now. For the tape, the interview is concluded. Eighteen hundred hours.
<End Log>

Closing Statement: Subject 9-D went on to fulfil all the stages up to stage 7, providing reliable and expected data. Subject 9-D was terminated and incinerated 4 hours into stage 7.

Transcript of interview 58 with subject 11-K [14 minutes after initial contact][Stage 3]

<Begin Log>
Interviewer: Hi, ███ is it? Take a seat.
[11-K silently takes a seat]
Interviewer: ███ I’m gonna say a list of words, wait ten seconds, and then get you to repeat those words in any order you’d like. Can you do that?

Subject 11-K: Sure.

Interviewer: Alright, bus, car, window, tree, road, happiness, elk, guitar, cold, fourteen, bike, eleven, distant.
[Ten seconds of silence]
Interviewer: Alright ███, can you repeat some of those words back to me please?
Subject 11-K: Sure, well… uh… um… [long pause] wait when did I get in here?
Interviewer: Thanks ███, that’ll be all for now. For the tape, the interview is concluded.
<End Log>

Closing Statement: Subject 11-K went on to fulfil all stages up to stage 7, providing reliable and expected data, although at a slight delayed rate. Subject 11-K was terminated and incinerated 3 hours into stage 7.

Transcript of interview 77 with subject 19-E [18 minutes after initial contact][Stage 3]

<Begin Log>
Interviewer: Hi there, please take a seat.
[Long pause]
Interviewer: for the tape, 19-E is remaining standing.
Subject 19-E: What did you just call me?

Interviewer: Don’t worry about that █████, please if you’d-

Subject 19-E:: How’s your daughter █████?

Interviewer: What?

Subject 19-E: How’s your daughter? Is she better now? The abortion couldn’t of been easy. She’s at home now isn't she, nineteen kings ro-

Interviewer: Interview terminated
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Subject 19-E went through the stage 1 to stage 5 at the average rate, however due to Subject 19-E increased levels of aggression and antisocial behaviour, Researcher █████ concluded that it would be too dangerous to allow Subject 19-E to reach stage 6, and so promptly ordered the termination and incineration of Subject 19-E. This was the first instance of a premature termination, and caused the Ethics committee to look into memetic agents that could be used to reverse SCP-XXXX’s effects, so that subjects that are considered too dangerous to be allowed to continue may be reused for other experiments rather than terminated.

Transcript of interview 104 with subject 22-F [32 minutes after initial contact][Stage 4]
Interviewer: Hi, take a seat
Subject 22-F: takes a seat.
Interviewer: ██████ could you please answer some questions for me?
Subject 22-F: Ok, just take me back to Mommy afterwards.
Interviewer: I… sure. Ok first question. What was the name of your first pet?
Subject 22-F: Pass.
Interviewer: Ok, what was the name of your first teacher.

Subject 22-F: Pass.
Interviewer: Ok… what’s your name?
Subject 22-F: Pass.
Interviewer: Ok…
Subject 22-F: I could ask Mommy? She would know the answer. Mommy knows everything.
Interviewer: Ok sure, you go back and ask, don’t worry we’ll hear. Interview terminated.
<End Log>
[Audio log of Research cell 17, 13:19;21, █/06/19██]
<Begin Log>
Subject 22-F: Hey Mommy, I got some question to ask. First, what my pet name? Ok. What teacher name first? Yeah.. My name is? Thanks Mommy.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Subject 22-F was steadily progressing through Stage 4, however due to concerns from Researcher ██████ surrounding 22-F’s rocky start through stage 2, the Ethics committee vetoed Researcher ██████ decision to continue with Subject 22-F’s development, and was used in the medical trials of memetic agents as previously mentioned. This led to Subject 22-F’s termination due to “medical complications”.

Partial transcript of interview 115 with subject 33-Y [44 minutes after initial contact][Stage 5]*
[Head researcher ████ had been performing a routine interview, and 33-Y had been lucid and answering the majority of questions without issue whilst sat on SCP-XXXX’s lap.]
<Begin Log>
Interviewer: Ok question fourteen, what’s 6+11?

Subject 33-Y: 17

Interviewer: Correct. Question fifteen. What’s the capital of France?
Subject 33-Y: Paris.

Interviewer: Correct. Question six- [Head researcher ████ is cut off, distracted by 33-Y who had just exposed his erect penis.] um ████? Sorry if you could put that away, and continue with the questions?
Subject 33-Y: Sorry, can’t, Mom wants it.
Interviewer: I appreciate that but if you could please just… ok please don’t do that. Ok stop that. STOP. Ok he’s doing it anyway, interview terminated.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Although Subject 33-Y had been following projections down to an accuracy rating of 0.02, this event and Researcher ████’s inability to control Subject 33-Y led to an investigation into the current methods of containing and experimenting on subjects. This investigation eventually led to addendum 15.

Transcript of interview 131 with subject 56-P [48 minutes after initial contact][Stage 5]
<Begin Log>
[Soft grunting can be heard, coming from 56-P]
[a door is heard opening]
Interviewer: Hi, ███, sorry i’m late, I- nope. Interview terminated. Get that depraved piece [audio cuts out]
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Following this incident, Subject 56-P came extremely close to breaching containment. The investigation into the methods of containing and researching SCP-XXXX subjects sited this event as “Alarming unprofessionalism” on Researcher ████’s part, and addendum 15 was almost immediately put into place.

Transcript of interview 8913 with subject 495-L [7 hours after initial contact][Stage 7]
[Head researcher ████ is speaking into a microphone that is broadcasting his voice into 495-L’s cell]
<Begin Log>
Interviewer: Hey big guy, you doing ok?
[Screeching is heard]
Interviewer: You wanna play chinese checkers?
[Screeching]

Interviewer: Chess maybe? Connect 4?

[Screeching]
Interviewer: You wanna maybe put a bullet in your head? Or my head? Or everyone’s head?
[Screeching]
Interviewer: I’m tired 495. You’ve only been here 7 hours, I’ve been here, what, 18 years? You know-
[Screeching]
Interviewer: Hey shut up I’m talking.
[Screeching]
Interviewer: Yeah up yours too buddy. Interview terminated. Like anyones actually gonna listen to [Audio cuts out]
<End Log>
Closing Statement: This log was not revised by any other member of the Foundation, despite being the last instance of a Stage 7 infected before Addendum 18 was put in place, essentially preventing the creation of Stage 7’s and massively decreasing the amount of subjects allotted to the research of SCP-XXXX.

Transcript of interview 9007 with subject 906-P [550 minutes after initial contact][Stage 5]
<Begin Log>

[Soft grunting is heard]
Interviewer: Hey you disgusting bastard. Wanna answer some questions? No? Ok you just continue having sex with you Mom or whatever.
Subject 906-P She’s my daughter. I created her from-

Interviewer: Cool, I don’t care. 905 other guys have said that before you. You know that? You know that in a few minutes you’re gonna be taken and have your mind wiped so you can be used for another experiment? Are you listening to me? They used to let me make the Stage 7’s. Haven't had one in ages. Guess you can’t wipe the mind of a giant blob that can see your future. Or guess it I don't know. 34 years doing this, you know it’s got me? Nothing. I’ve worked on other SCP’s, sure, but this felt [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] has taken up most of my time. Wow you’re really going at her aren’t you. You’re not listening to anything I say. The passcode to get out is 9986. Nope nothing. You’d just rather have sex with your “daughter”. For the tape I just did air quotes. You know a long time ago I’d be disgusted by the idea of a man having sex with a felt effigy that he believes is his daughter, but now? It’s as normal as pie. You know no one listens to these logs? I think they end up-
[906-P loudly grunts]
Interviewer: Oh you’ve finished. Fantastic. Interview terminated.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: This was the last interview of an infected subject, and the content of this log was used as evidence for Researcher ████’s psychotic break that occurred not long after. After this, addendum 21 was put in place, and there has not been research on SCP-XXXX or its effects since.

Addendums:
Addendum XXXX-1: All images, videos, and other content including SCP-XXXX not already contained by the foundation, must be found and contained. This is due to an image posted to the site Facebook.com of SCP-XXXX and what is believed to be a Stage 5 infected went semi viral, causing █ infections. The original image posted to Facebook.com is attached.

Addendum XXXX-2: Special permission was granted to researcher ████████, a heterosexual male, to conduct a small experiment with SCP-XXXX and the SCP he was assigned to researching. This led to Researcher ████████ reaching Stage 5 before being detained. Due to this, no one outside of Research Team XXXX is to conduct research.

Addendum XXXX-3: A user of the website “tumblr” was somehow able to reach stage 2 through nothing but an image of SCP-XXXX, taken from before SCP-XXXX was detained. The post is attached.

Addendum XXXX-15: Due to the investigation into SCP-XXXX’s research, a new set of rules were put into place concerning the investigation of infected. This restricted the amount of D-Class allocated to Research Team XXXX to one D-Class every two weeks, down from a maximum of five per week. Additionally, written permission from two members of the ethics committee and three senior members of the research committee was required if the Research Team wanted to create a stage 7.

Addendum XXXX-18: All members of research team XXXX were reassigned with the exception of Head Researcher ████████. Access to D-Class was limited to one per month, and creation of stage 7’s were strictly prohibited. It is important to note that Addendum XXXX-18 was designed to be temporary, acting until SCP-XXXX and its effects could be further understood so that containment was guaranteed.

Addendum XXXX-21: Due to Head Researcher ████████ psychotic break, most of those involved in SCP-XXXX’s management decided that for the moment, research into SCP-XXXX was a “waste of Foundation resources”. Research of SCP-XXXX was discontinued, and SCP-XXXX was confined in a standard issue foundation container for an indefinite amount of time, or until research of SCP-XXXX is warranted again.
