SCP-XXXX-1 through 4.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 through 4 must be kept separate in 1m×1m×1m kennels. Do not let out unless necessary. Personnel are allowed to play with SCP XXXX 1-4 for a limited time. Water given must be distilled and the nutrients given separately. SCP-XXXX-5 through 8 are kept in separate steel vaults. Check the inside for moisture every hour.

Description: SCP-XXXX are 8 "Corgi Pellets" which, when placed in a glass of water with an unknown chemical compound titled "Secret Ingredient" along with magnesium oxide, will grow into Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies. The instruction pamphlet says as following:

Hey there, kids! Would you like to own your own dog, but your parents can't buy one? Well just follow these instructions. Take one of these pellets, put it in warm water, put in some of our "Secret Ingredient" and some magnesium oxide and wait 24 hours! Your new furry friend might stumble and trip while walking, but that will be gone within a day. Enjoy your new pal!
Parental Instructions: Feed dog 3/4 cup of dry dog food twice a day. Make sure to research your pet before opening the box.

When instructions are followed, the pellet will dissolve in the water and begin to take shape and an embryo will form. After 24 hours, what appears to be a 16 week old corgi puppy will form. None of these organisms age, nor can they die from disease. The coat of these organisms contains inorganic materials such as lead, gold, and magnesium oxide, a fireproof material. XXXX is almost completely immune to fire and burns. Despite this, they, like many other animals, are pyrophobic and will avoid fire at all costs.
The box contained 8 pellets, which are listed here, with those metamorphosed are listed as well:

  • XXXX-1: Red and white coat, male
  • XXXX-2: Red, white, and tan coat, female
  • XXXX-3: Red and white coat, male
  • XXXX-4: Red and white coat, female
  • XXXX-5: Red pellet
  • XXXX-6: Dark brown pellet
  • XXXX-7: Red pellet
  • XXXX-8: Red and dark brown pellet

Addendum: SCP-XXXX was discovered in ██████, England during a house fire. In the ruins of the building, SCP-XXXX-1, and the rest of the organisms which had not yet been metamorphosed and were still in their pellet form. They, along with the box, were taken to Site ██. Tests showed SCP-XXXX-1 was 50 years old at the time. SCP-XXXX 2 and 4 had metamorphosed after being researched, and SCP-XXXX-3 had done the same in its containment vault.
