SCP-XXXX while being viewed from the street.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX as well as the various abandoned buildings surrounding and leading into SCP-XXXX were purchased by the Foundation on February ██, 200█. Each exterior entrance to SCP-XXXX is heavily monitored by video surveillance and Level 2 security personnel. Any individual(s) not authorized with Level 2 security clearance or higher approaching SCP-XXXX's exterior entrances is to be removed from SCP-XXXX's exterior entrances immediately, if said unauthorized individual(s) proceeds to resist removal, they will be subdued and forcibly removed from the premises. Level 2 security personnel are also permitted to monitor portions of the interior such as the lobby and the exterior of the various buildings around the perimeter that lead into SCP-XXXX. If any unauthorized individual(s) breach the outer perimeter and enter the lobby or the various buildings surrounding SCP-XXXX, Level 2 security personnel are permitted to subdue them and forcibly remove them from the premises. Level 2 security personnel are under no circumstances permitted observation nor entry into the auditorium or the backstage area of SCP-XXXX. Each entrance to SCP-XXXX's auditorium and backstage area is visually enveloped by plastic sheeting and is monitored by video surveillance and Level 3 security personnel. In the event of a perimeter breach within the auditorium or backstage area, authorized personnel must notify Level 3 security personnel immediately.
Those with Level 3 clearance or higher are permitted entry into SCP-XXXX's auditorium and backstage area. Each exit in the auditorium and backstage area is monitored by video surveillance and Level 3 security personnel. Level 3 security personnel are also posted in various positions around the auditorium and backstage area, monitoring from the balconies and the first floor. Throughout the auditorium and backstage area there is video surveillance observing the rooms. In the event Level 2 security personnel or lower breach the perimeter and make it into SCP-XXXX's auditorium or backstage area, they will be immediately subdued by Level 3 security personnel and will be administered a Class Z mnestic, after the application of the mnestic, they will be driven and dropped off to a secluded location 10-20 miles from SCP-XXXX.
In the event of undoubtedly compromised containment, all personnel are to follow evacuation procedures accordingly and initiate demolition procedures immediately after all personnel have evacuated SCP-XXXX. Remote explosives have been posted on the most structurally integral portions of SCP-XXXX, with access to the explosives permitted to those with Level 4 security clearance or higher. If those with Level 3 security clearance or lower access or manipulate the remote explosives in any way, all personnel must notify Level 4 personnel immediately if they have not already been notified.
SCP-XXXX has displayed no sign of harm towards Foundation personnel and does not require specific containment procedures.
Update: Maintain a distance of two meters outside of the perimeter of SCP-XXXX's epicenter; it is not advised to breach this perimeter, as breaching it could result in the partial time-space manipulation of neurological pathways to those that approach or enter the epicenter; no class of mnestics has been proven to repair the neurological pathways of those affected by SCP-XXXX's epicenter.
Update: SCP-XXXX has the ability to transport organic matter in the present through space-time, presumably killing the organic matter in the process of it being transported through space-time.
Warning: Do not disrupt ANY past activity during SCP-XXXX's "period of reminiscence".
Description: SCP-XXXX's physical appearance consists of a dilapidated concert hall located in ███████, ████████. SCP-XXXX's construction was completed on October █, 193█. The concert hall had opened to many bands, blues players, and classic performers alike, with noted performers such as Pink Floyd, Johnny Winter, and Muddy Waters having been on stage at this concert hall. The concert hall was fairly active until its abandonment in 198█. It is unknown precisely when the structure became an anomalous entity, though it is predicted to have occurred somewhere between 199█-199█. Many individuals who took to entering SCP-XXXX after it became an anomalous entity spoke of faint voices within SCP-XXXX's auditorium while inside; occasionally, civilians reported music coming from inside the structure that could be heard whilst standing outside of the structure, long after its abandonment.
The exterior of SCP-XXXX consists of a closed down box office, windows that are boarded by wood or shielded by metal, and two destroyed signs adjacent to one another above the front entrance to SCP-XXXX. The various exterior walls and entrances to SCP-XXXX all show signs of decay, with metal doors displaying signs of rust, and walls displaying chipped off pieces of brick. Within the interior of SCP-XXXX, there is a decrepit lobby with stairs leading to the second floor of the structure. On the first floor of the lobby, there are doors leading to the entrance of the auditorium. On the second floor, there are various doors leading to the balconies within the auditorium overlooking the stage. In the auditorium, there are a total of 2,500 seats, some intact, while many others show gross signs of decay. The stage shows loose planks of wood and paint tearing from the back wall. The ceiling has evident holes in its roof, with wallpaper tearing from nearly each portion of the wall and ceiling in the auditorium. The floor's carpet has been clearly worn over time.
SCP-XXXX is a time-space altering entity, with the ability to potentially fill the entirety of the structure with partial remnants of the past. Level 3 researchers have discovered SCP-XXXX's various means of altering time-space within the structure. SCP-XXXX's known abilities include, but are not limited to:
- Transporting small objects through time. (common)
- Projecting past individuals in their designated locations from a specific point in time. (rare)
- Transmitting the sounds of music and people within the auditorium with no visual reference. Sounds transmitted appear to vary in decibel level. (very common)
- Transmitting the sounds of people within the other portions of SCP-XXXX with no visual reference. (rare)
- Sending matter, up to and including organic life, from the present through space-time. (when past event is disrupted during a period of reminiscence)
- Altering the neurological pathways of certain organisms. (occurs only when SCP-XXXX's epicenter is breached)
These specific periods in which SCP-XXXX manipulates space-time have been aptly titled "periods of reminiscence". It appears that SCP-XXXX is only limited to projecting periods of time between 195█-198█. The epicenter of this time-space manipulation appears to encompass a partial amount of the first and second rows of seats on the first floor of the auditorium, this has been discovered based on the pattern displayed during SCP-XXXX's periods of reminiscence. During a period of reminiscence, a Class-D subject was directed to approach the epicenter and had quote "Traveled back to like 19██ man, like dude, I could see everything.", this Class-D subject received irreversible brain damage as a result of this incident. The strength of SCP-XXXX's space-time manipulation appears inconsistent, specifically the decibel range of the music, the transmission of objects through time, and the projection of people in the crowd and around the auditorium. It does appear that, from the present, one can partially affect the past, such as the transmission of loud enough noises from the present to the past, drawing the potential attention of crowd members in the past, as noted with Dr. ██████, SCP-XXXX does react when this occurs, SCP-XXXX does not appear to react to any other outside activity other than this.
Addendum 1: On November █, 200█, A pack of Kool cigarettes had been discovered on the floor of row 7 on the first floor of the auditorium. These cigarettes are presumed to have been transported from the early 1970s.
Addendum 2: On January █, 200█, SCP-XXXX projects what is most likely a family of five with three children and two parents walking down an aisle towards the lobby, as the family proceeds further from the known epicenter, they start to become more and more transparent and lose shape. Once they reach 3 feet from the door to the lobby, they vanish in an instant.
Addendum 3: On September 2█, 200█, researchers capture firsthand footage of SCP-XXXX's various projections and amplified sound transmissions on Video Log #296. Sound levels reached as high as 143 decibels. Foundation personnel have heavily soundproofed the interior of SCP-XXXX's auditorium in response to this situation, as to not attract public attention. The transcript below depicts what transpired during the recording.1
Video Log #296 Transcript
Date: September 2█, 200█
Time: 09:18 a.m.
Subject: Period of reminiscence, Auditorium of SCP-XXXX
Researchers prepare for an anomalous event to occur within SCP-XXXX's auditorium, Dr. █████ initiates the camera recording, camera is fixed on a tripod on the aisle to the right of the chairs in the middle of the auditorium near the 4th row, camera faces the stage. Level 3 security personnel are visible in the background with P90 and MP5 submachine guns in hand.
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. █████: It's rollin'.
Dr. ███████: (Faint voice) Now we wait.
Security personnel reports in in the background
Dr. █████: Suppose we'll get some blues today?
**Dr. ████: *chuckles* Hopefully, the shit this place has been playing lately has brought my ears near bleeding, not great stuff.
Dr. ████████: Yes, well, let's hope-
Pink Floyd's 'Hey You' plays quietly. This performance most likely occurred in 198█.
**Dr. █████: Not bad. I actually have a signed vinyl record from Roger Waters.
**Dr. ████: No kidding? That's pretty ni-
Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall' plays at 138 decibels according to an on site decibel reader. This performance most likely occurred in 198█.
Camera shifts slightly.
Any voices are absent due to Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick in the Wall' continuing to play between an estimated 138-143 decibels. Level 3 security personnel are seen equipping their ear protection while at the same time attempting to plug their ears. Dr. █████ stumbles into frame with his hands clasped over his ears. He keeps his left hand on his ear while he uses his right shoulder to cover his other ear as he grabs for his ear protection. Dr. █████ takes approximately 2 seconds to apply his ear protection. Throughout the recording at this point, projections of people from the past can be seen entering in and out of the present, with band members even appearing on the stage of the auditorium.
3 minutes pass. Projections and music cuts out. Various articles of clothing from the time of the performance are scattered about the auditorium as well as various personal accessories.
**Dr. ████: Christ, is everyone accounted for?
**Dr. ████████: Cut the camera! Stop!
[END LOG]
Addendum 4: On June 1█, 200█, SCP-XXXX has displayed signs of altering one's neurological pathways. This is, so far, only a result of a Class-D subject being directed to enter SCP-XXXX's epicenter. Those affected by this anomaly appear to only be those that enter SCP-XXXX's epicenter. A perimeter has since been created around the epicenter. This document will be altered appropriately based on this occurrence.
Addendum 5: On April 2█, 201█ SCP-XXXX has most likely sent one of our research personnel through space-time, presumably killing ███ instantly. This is most likely a result of the most likely deceased research personnel, Dr. ██████, disrupting a past concert-goer during one of SCP-XXXX's "periods of reminiscence". This was realized shortly after reviewing footage from Video Log #1068 when researchers deciphered a "What?" from a crowd member directly after Dr. ██████ requests a caramel latte. This document will be altered appropriately based on this occurrence.2
