Description: SCP-4507 is a corroded american penny, minted in the year 1975. When seen or touched by a human subject, SCP-4507 inspires an overwhelming greed in the subject and a need to keep SCP-4507 with them at all times. All research indicates that this effect on the mind is permanent, and the greed will persist even after separation from SCP-4507. After being exposed to SCP-4507 for longer than a day, subjects will begin to experience changes in their physicality, they will become stronger, faster, and more durable. After a week, these changes will manifest themselves as a stronger build, and scaled skin. The subject will also begin experiencing [DATA EXPUNGED], and develop sharp fangs, the digestive capacity to consume raw foods, and loses the ability to communicate or form words. At this point, it is unknown if subjects retain their sentience, and further research is required.

SCP-4507 resists all attempts to biopsy or damage its surface, though edges of the penny appear to have been filed down at one point, likely before it became anomalous. Historically, this was done to pennies for their copper value, before the federal reserve began minting pennies that were not made of copper in 1982. Further research into the surface of SCP-4507 using digital imagery and microscopes reveals trace amounts of human blood and [DATA EXPUNGED] on it's surface.
