Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard containment locker that is to be locked and will under no circumstances be unlocked, unless for the conducting of tests and with clearance of five (5) level 2 on-site research staff and one (1) level 4 Administrator.
The locker must be under 24/24 hours camera surveillance to ensure that no personnel will open it without clearance.
In the case of a containment breach in the form of any staffr coming into physical contact with SCP-XXXX, a security team must at all cost remove the object from said staff as fast as possible. The staff must then be placed under constant surveillance until it goes to sleep 24 hours after the incident. Any attempts at getting to SCP-XXX must be stopped.
description: SCP-XXXX is a yellow/orange striped blanket witch shows no anomalous properties whatsoever. However, in the case of a person covering at least 40% of their body with the blanket, said person will immediatly lose conciousness. Scans have reported a decrease in brain activity from subjects resembling patterns of a coma.
When someone tries to remove SCP-XXXX from the subject, subject will show slight agitation an will grab the object, not willing to let go. The only way known at this time to remove SCP-XXXX from the subject is through the use of physical force, more tests are required to possibly find other ways of doing this.
Once the subject lets go of SCP-XXXX, it will regain conciousness with no memories of their experience while unconcious. The subject will express the urge to be reunited with the object, claiming that living without it is painfull. This must be prevented by all means.
If the subject does not come into physical contact with SCP-XXXX within five (5) hours of he initial contact, they will have a tantrum and attempt getting back to the blanket with extreme agression to anything obstructing them. At the end of this tantrum, in most f the cases around ten (10) hours after initial contact, subject will collapse, start to cry and sob and express suicidal thoughts. Ulitmately, if the subject falls asleep twenty-four (24) hours after initial contact, they will lose all memory of the previous twenty-four (24) hours and continue with their daily tasks.
If the subject does come into contact with SCP-XXXX before the end of this cycle, they will re-enter their coma under the object and will not let go of it willingly. They also start to show extraordinair levels of strength. The body functions of subjects entering this phase will start to degrade over time, until they reach the point where they have forgotten how to breathe. Subjects will however not die of starvation, although they are not observed to be taking in any kind of nutriton.
All subjects reaching this phase will be terminated, by order of dr. ██████, to make the experience mentally less heavy for on-site staff. The staff are allowed to be reassigned to another site in the case of this event.
