Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in a standardized anomalous object container on Site-██ SCP-XXXX-1 use is to be restricted to level 2 or higher researchers, or project heads. Any personnel who have broken foundation procedures being demoted below level 2 or any who have been terminated are to have all items from their personal SCP-XXXX-3 instance confiscated, and all personal SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3 instances incinerated (See incident report SCP-XXXX-I-2).
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is an anomalous Brother P-Touch Labelmaker, model PTD210.
SCP-XXXX-2 refers to a printed label with the full name of a user.
If a user can type and print their full legal name into SCP-XXXX-1, an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 will be created and dispensed. If two or more different instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are created and stuck onto different items capable of holding objects that have some way of hiding their contents, all items placed in either instance will be universally stored and shared between the two, no matter the distance. These are referred to as SCP-XXXX-3. Such containers that have been tested include
- Desk drawers
- Closets
- Cardboard boxes
- Filing cabinets
- Kitchen cabinets
- Tupperware containers
- Closets
- Computer cases
- Dresser drawers
- SCP-432
- SCP-2733
- Among others.
If an instance of SCP-XXXX-3 is large enough then the entire room will become empty, and racks and shelves will be filled with all stored items. Objects like filing cabinets, which already have moving storage mechanisms, will have all their shelves extend indefinitely, fitting all placed items. If an instance of SCP-XXXX-3 is too small to fit whatever is being placed in it, the items will undergo a process similar to Spaghettification. They will thin to whatever is
In addition, placing an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 with any writing onto any non-anomalous label maker will transform it into an instance of SCP-XXXX-1.
Discovery: At the time of discovery, SCP-XXXX-1 was kept in a utility closet on Site-22. Up to this point was observed as a standard, nonanomalous mobile label maker. Dr. Millar was using SCP-XXXX-1 to mark storage boxes with his personal belongings, preparing for transfer from Site-22 to Site-██. Please refer to Interview Log SCP-XXXX-I-1
Interviewed: Dr. Millar
Interviewer: Dr. █████
Foreword: Dr. Millar is being interviewed as to the origins and discovery of SCP-XXXX
<Begin Log>
Dr. █████: Hello Dr. Millar, my name is Dr. █████ and we're conducting this interview as to the recent discovery of a possible new SCP, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX.
Dr. Millar: Of course.
Dr. █████: For the record, how did you discover SCP-XXXX?
Dr. Millar: Well, I was preparing for transfer to Site-██ and I was gathering my belongings from my office. I was using SCP-XXXX to mark some boxes. I marked a small box that I put some photos in and when I marked another box, the pictures were in there too. I kept checking back-and-fourth for a bit before I decided to report a possible SCP discovered on site.
Dr. █████: Thank you very much, Dr. Millar. You're free to go.
Dr. Millar: Anytime.
Dr. Millar exits Interrogation room ████
Dr. █████: This has been Interview SCP-XXXX-I-1. I am Dr. █████, signing off.

Closing Statement: [Small summary and passage on what transpired afterward]
Test A - 10/22/2020
Subject: D-81087, and SCP-XXXX-1.
Procedure: D-81087 was put in a room with a small cardboard box, a cabinet, a clear plastic storage container, and a refrigerator box. He was supplied with SCP-XXXX-1 and a pencil. D-81087 was instructed to print out labels with his D-Class classification number. D-81087 was then instructed to put the pen inside the small cardboard box, and open the rest.
Results: After putting the pen inside the small cardboard box, D-81087 continued to open all the other boxes. The effects of SCP-XXXX seemed to not manifest, as the pen stayed in the first cardboard box
Analysis: SCP-XXXX's ability didn't activate. We assume that when writing out names that weren't assigned to the user at birth, the anomalous ability of SCP-XXXX doesn't activate. We'll try again right away
Test B- 10/22/2020
Subject: D-81087, and SCP-XXXX-1.
Procedure: D-81087 is put in a room with a small cardboard box, a cabinet, a clear plastic storage container, and a refrigerator box. He is supplied with SCP-XXXX-1 and a pencil. D-81087 is instructed to create SCP-XXXX-2 instances with the name "Mac ██████" written on it. Records show that this was D-81087's name prior to D-Class assignment. D-81087 is then instructed to put the pen inside the small cardboard box, and open the rest.
Results: The anomalous ability of SCP-XXXX-1 activated correctly. The pen appeared in all three boxes
Analysis: Success. If we find negative effects that are either disregardable or find there are none at all, this could be of great use to the foundation. We could even reverse-engineer it and sell it to major world governments. -Dr. Conway
Test C- 10/23/2020
Subject: Dr. Freeman, SCP

Test D - 10/24/2020
Subject: Dr. Vance, D-3870
Procedure: D-3870 is to type Dr. Vances' full name into SCP-XXXX-1, and create two instances of SCP-XXXX-2. Those two instances are to be placed on two small cardboard boxes. A pen is to be placed in SCP-XXXX-1-1, and Dr. Vance is to remove the pen from SCP-XXXX-3-2.
Results: The effects of SCP-XXXX did not manifest.
Analysis: This is a
Test E- 10/27/2020
Subject: SCP-XXXX, Dr. Freeman, and Dr. Alfonzo.
Procedure: Dr. Freeman is supplied to create two instances of SCP-XXXX-2, and put each on two different cardboard boxes. Dr. Freeman is then to put one red bouncy ball inside SCP-XXXX-3-1. Dr. Alfonzo is to open SCP-XXXX-3-2 and attempt to remove the ball.
Results: Dr. Alfonzo was able to open SCP-XXXX-2 and the ball was visible inside of it. However, Dr. Alfonzo was completely unable to lift the ball, appearing to weigh far more than it actually was. When Dr. Freeman went to remove the ball, it came out normally. Dr. Alfonzo was able to hold the ball just fine.
Analysis: It seems that SCP-XXXX has a self-locking protection mechanism of some sort. To protect the user's belongings, other people can access SCP-XXXX-3 but are totally unable to remove them. Our next test will be with trying to remove the items with whatever means are necessary. My colleagues and I agree that this could be a very helpful resource to the foundation. I will send a copy of our test logs and a request to Site-22 Director B████ to have SCP-XXXX classified as a Safe level SCP, and use of SCP-XXXX able to be requested by all Level 1 or higher personnel. -Dr. Conway
Response from Site-22 Director Wallace B████ to Dr. Conway regarding Safe classification of SCP-XXXX and Level 1 staff use.
Four tests are hardly enough to gauge the true powers of an SCP, no matter how "Safe" it seems. SCP-XXXX-3 instances could alter the contents in a negative way depending on how long they've been stored. Perhaps the documents enter a sort of pocket dimension and decay with time. Also, something as trivial as other people trying to remove the contents is hardly a priority when it comes to something like this. I agree that if SCP-XXXX is harmless to use, it could be an incredibly valuable resource to the foundation. Extraterrestrial sites would benefit greatly If you can indeed find a way to replicate SCP-XXXX-1 and its effects then I would have absolutely no problem talking with the O5 regarding foundation-wide use. If I were you my next choice of action would be to find a way to replicate the effects of SCP-XXXX. Take a look at it inside and out. -Site Director Wallace B████
P.S. Selling this to "Major World Governments" is an idiotic and incredibly unprofessional action to take in this situation. We have trouble enough with leaks as it is with our own staff. Giving it to some Joe Shmoe in the FBI is asking for a breach in security. You know far better than this.
Addendum: After closer inspection of SCP-XXXX-1, a label was found on the underside of the device. The label read "[insert]." Professional dissasembly of the device found no anomalous properties inside apart from the fact that even though a fair about of labes has been created, no labels seem to have been removed from the device.
Test F - 10/25/2020
Subject: Dr. Lajoye, SCP-XXXX-1
Procedure: Dr. Lajoye is supplied SCP-XXXX-1, two small cardboard boxes, a pen, and a Brother P-Touch labelmaker identical in make and model to SCP-XXXX-1 (Hereby referred to as Item 4). Dr. Lajoye is to switch the blank labels from SCP-XXXX-1 and Item 4
