"Picture of SCP-1118 retreating back into it's housing within the drain and overflow piping of a shower drain"
Item #: SCP-1118
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1118 is to be kept within a 10.5-meter square room comprised of 4.5 inch standard steel plating heated to a temperature anywhere between 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit (37.05556 degrees Celsius) to 111.2 degrees Fahrenheit (44 degrees Celsius). 15K Kilowatt induction heating coils ranging anywhere from 6 Inches to 25 Inches in radius lined against the entirety of the walls, roof and floor of the containment cell has been shown as the most effective means of accomplishing this. A standard dimension (36 by 42 inches), modern era standing shower should be installed in the direct center of the containment cell, who's drain waste and overflow piping will serve as the main housing of SCP-1118. Drain waste and overflow piping of aforementioned shower shall not exceed 12 inches below the drain. Tub spout, shower valve, shower head, shower arm, P trap and emergency shut offs are not required and should be welded and or capped off. Walls of the containment room must be heated evenly. Uneven heating of the containment cell will result in SCP-1118 evacuating the drain waste and overflow piping, that of which will then proceed to attack any unevenly heated area of the containment cell. No windows are to be installed within the containment cell.
Observation of SCP-1118 is to be done through standard security camera's installed in all 4 corners of the containment cell. Each camera is to be encased within a 0.5-Inch, 5 by 5 Inch box of bullet resistant glass. Human observation is possible, any personnel that enter SCP-1118's containment cell, are to be cooled to an external temperature of anywhere from 98.5 Degrees Fahrenheit (36.94444 Degrees Celsius) to 65 Degrees Fahrenheit (18.3333 Degrees Celsius) and are to be kept at that temperature until personnel exit SCP-1118's containment cell.
If SCP-1118 successfully infects a host body through any means, all personnel (priority or not) that have been in contact with SCP-1118 within 24 hours post and prior to host infection, are to be terminated immediately, and bodies burned using gasoline, napalm, and or liquid propane until nothing but ashes remains. Initial infected host is to be restrained, captured, and transferred back into SCP-1118's containment cell, where it is to be burned until nothing but ashes remains. Upon successful termination of the host vessel, SCP-1118 will return to it's dwelling withing the drain waste and overflow piping of shower mentioned in the articles above. If capture, restraining and transferring of the initial host is not possible, initial host is to be burned on the spot and SCP-1118 is to be contained within a portable isolation cube of 25 inches by 25 inches, that of which is to be comprised of 0.5-Inch standard steel plates. SCP-1118 is to then be transferred back into its cell, and released from the isolation cube.
Description: SCP-1118 is a 4 ounce (113.398 grams) shapeless mass of wet hair. SCP-1118 shows no signs of lower, average or advanced cognitive intelligence and contains none of the standard biological systems that have been associated with life on Earth (Digestive system, Nervous system, Endocrine system, etc). SCP-1118 possesses no standard form of locomotion, and instead rolls around its environment, leaving a trail of "creep" (murky, slightly viscous water) behind it (Testing of said "creep" has revealed it to be nothing more average tap water, contaminated with trace amounts of dirt and debris particles). Samples of material from SCP-1118 has been retrieved and successfully analyzed. Results have shown material samples from SCP-1118 contain the DNA of nearly 1297 individual humans, species of animals, and DNA from entities that predate the Mesolithic era of Earth. Samples tested from SCP-1118 have the same DNA sequencing from some well known historical figures such as, Albert Einstein, John Bardeen, Iganz Semmelweis and ███ ███████.
