Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### is currently contained in the folding paperboard box it was first recovered in. SCP-####'s container is tightly packed with noise-canceling foam to avoid the accidental ringing of the object. The box is contained in Standard Containment Locker 24c at Site-19. Personnel handling SCP-#### must wear noise-canceling headphones to prevent the object's anomalous effects in the case of an accident.
Description: SCP-#### is a 10x9x5 cm call bell made of stainless steel. The bell is painted yellow with a black smiley on the front, and the base is painted black. On the back of the base, there is an inscription reading, "Fun Smile Bell! © Funsmile Toys Inc." Currently, no known company produces toys with that name. SCP-####'s box is simply white with a plastic window in the front, allowing the object to be seen. It has no writing on it, except for a small watermark in the bottom left corner on the front of the box.

When SCP-#### is rung, it emits a noise that has been described by subjects as "a long, high pitched tone," which soon becomes, "children screaming," and "faint crying".1 Subjects will become extremely distressed after Subjects will then experience extreme suicidal tendencies within 1 hour of the first encounter, going out of their way to kill themselves. Out of 7 confirmed subjects, all had either committed suicide or died of cardiac arrest within 8 hours since initial exposure to SCP-####'s anomalous effect. On recordings of SCP-####, though, it emits the noise of an average call bell and does not have any effect on listeners.
Also, there is a known variant of SCP-####, referred to as SCP-####-1, that is painted red with the text, "Ring for a Love," with the "O" in "Love" being stylized as a heart. The bell is painted white, and the text is red. All other components of the bell are the same as SCP-####, including the inscription and the effect it has on subjects. It was also recovered in the same type of box as SCP-####.
Addendum: SCP-#### and SCP-####-1 were discovered in a local ███████ convenience store in ██████, New York. The objects were found next to each other in an otherwise empty shelve. All witnesses were given a 1 mg dose of Class B amnestics. SCP-####-1 was recovered a day later after SCP-#### was proven to be anomalous and witnesses were given another 1 mg dose of Class B amnestics.
